  1. I'm also glad his bizarre defensive drop off seems over
  2. Most surprised to see Adams as reliever and Danish as starter.
  3. So relieved this team performed against a weak schedule. Would love to get to .500
  4. QUOTE (scs787 @ May 15, 2015 -> 04:48 PM) He's got a bad track record, but he's also had some bad teams. I like that he's coached under Dantoni and Kerr, so I'm assuming he would emplement a faster pace, which is what I really want to see them do. Reading LMA and Wes Matthews wanna be a package deal. Somehow trade Noah and Taj, sign those 2 guys, end scene. I liked what he did for the Suns teams until they became terrible. I wonder how he'll deal with the anti-suns training staff.
  5. Really happy to be pulling people from DEN/BAL for scouting talent more than NO.
  6. 2018 doesn't seem quite so far away anymore re: Rose contract and the skyrocketing cap. But - Bulls really need more guards, cannot stress that enough. It's awesome we have a true player in Jimmy, but our guard depth was terrible.
  7. Good luck Carlos. You've earned your shot.
  8. I don't fear noah being here forever as long as his next deal is closer to 3 for 24

    2015 Films thread

Watched Locke last night. It was pretty good, but only for what it was. It ended and I was like "holy hell, the dude is literally just talking on a car phone the whole time".
  10. Okay so not May then, just the portion of may you'd like to highlight.
  11. I wanted Micah on roster. Micah showed great promise with bat on an otherwise struggling horrible offense. Micah was truly horrible on defense, on a team with a struggling horrible offense. Micah now gets to go down knowing he can hack it offensively (which is much better than most of our prospects) but needs to work on footwork. I'm pleased with that situation.
  12. Yeah, i'd prefer we roll with Niko. Love doesn't have great injury history and no thanks to more of that.
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:35 AM) There's nothing much the Bulls can do. They're still under the tax, so they'll get the MLE. So they can maybe pick up another veteran for $5 million a year. One way to free up salary is to somehow trade Joakim Noah. But after how he played in the playoffs, what contending team would go after him? His best asset is an expiring $13.5 million contract. Even then, the salary cap is jumping almost $30 million next year anyhow. Guys you can possibly sign for a MLE: Lou Williams, Wesley Matthews, Thaddeus Young, Danny Green, Aaron Afflalo, Marco Belinelli, Gerald Green. The Bulls' biggest hole is SF/SG. They need a guy who can spread the floor. Afflalo, Matthews, or Green would make sense. Honestly, just need guards plural SF is a position you can get away with smaller size now, so just get best guards available. Allows flexibility with 2 pg lineups, 3 guard lineups with jimmy at 4 taj at 5. But can't do that with 5'6" point guards and effing hinrich as our only backup
  14. I imagine taj's value took a major hit this year. Last year he looked great after Wiz series.
  15. Agreed. Need a young backup point guard, preferably with length. Tired of small PGs who get totally exposed in playoffs (miss nate robinson). Need McDermott to be a player. Spacing still atrocious. Not sure we really have an elite 1-on-1 player. No one really able to collapse prssure in pocket to get open 3 looks. Need way to much movement from the shooters to get them open. Missing on McDermott will be really upsetting, those 2 picks would have been great. Things bulls need: - To stop sucking - More athleticism (like crazy) - Backup PG cheap for 3 years - More athleticism - More athleticism - Better 3 pt shooting
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:21 AM) I really like his hires, not sure on his player moves yet. Though of course, time will tell on those. Even if his player moves do not work out, I really appreciate his handling of the cap to allow us room to make a single big splash when more appropriate.
  17. I can't even remember if I enjoyed the Thibs era.
  18. Micah's defense is on pace to be historically terrible.
  19. QUOTE (MnSoxFan @ May 14, 2015 -> 07:05 AM) The Brewers are a NL team, I would not expect their announcer to know all the ins and outs of an AL team. One would think he would know about Baines, but there is a lot to know about MLB and the dude is quite old. Give him a break. Weren't Brewers an AL team when Baines was with Sox?
  20. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 14, 2015 -> 06:39 PM) I'm pretty confident he can do 260/290/350 but I'm not sure about anything more than that. We'll see. Defense tho, yea, he's electric at times and has great hands. It's fun to watch him. Arm isn't the strongest but great instinctual middle infielder. We may ultimately have a good rotation 1-4 with a wildcard #5 who when his is good can keep ball low and get grounders. We have a bullpen full of guys with downward movement to get grounders. As I mentioned before the season started, Sanchez's up the middle defense seemed much more of a fit to the team mold than Micah. Micah is not a bust. He held his own offensively which is difficult for sox prospects. Now he needs to get reps and reps and reps on d. Not a bad start.
