  1. Would the bulls staff have caught the blood clots in the lungs? Clearly other players view the bulls trainers this way, and shooting taj up with a cortisone shot at halftime doesn't help your view of this awesome staff. The fact that they were so active in trying to help the health of a team and did a terrible job does not help your point, it hurts it. They are not good at their jobs. If they were, the starters would not have only started 16 games together.
  2. Yes, it's so weird, Bulls just have such bad luck year after year. Wellp, nothing we can do.
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 16, 2015 -> 10:24 AM) I don't know how DRose's knees, Noah's knee, Taj Gibson's ankles are on the Bulls medical staff. They just have a roster of guys who constantly get hurt. As I have stated before, it would be a miracle if they could get through one round of the playoffs without losing someone. LOL and Butler and MDJ and Mcdermott and Hinrich.
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 16, 2015 -> 10:15 AM) it has changed a lot. They swapped out one person, who may also be terrible. Until we can get through a season with greater than 30 games with our starters I will not be championing our incredible staff.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 16, 2015 -> 09:48 AM) Hasn't the Bulls staff changed since Loul damn near died? Jen Swanson is here, does that mean the Bulls staff has shown to be especially better at keeping players healthy?
  6. Just a note for those that don't see any problem with bulls medical staff, Deng after the season ended made a point to talk about how much healthier and better treated he was at Miami.
  7. So glad we aren't facing Wiz.
  8. man, I feel bad for the Marlins. First Jose Fernandez, now (likely) Henderson Alvarez. (i also feel bad for my fantasy, who has both )
  9. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Apr 12, 2015 -> 05:13 PM) Good to see they are starting to turn it around.. still need much better def. Yes. Much like last year it seems like it will be a miracle to go through a game without 1 boneheaded mistake. But great job by our lower half of the order for continuing to deliver.
  10. obviously nice to win a game, but if the things that appeared during the four game clip linger on, we aren't going to win six in a row.
  11. I can't wait for Petricka to come back.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 02:51 PM) No mention of Rodon starting? You should be ashamed. Read subtitle
  13. I can't believe that Conor was out at home, still think that call was wrong.
  14. Also, I want to say that Hawk was pretty freaking good to listen to today.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 04:06 PM) I assume the reason I had to make this thread is that everyone else is finally exhaling and breathing after the last 4 days and nearly passing out. Yes sir! Players of the Game: Soto Conor :cheers Robertson Adams and for saving our bullpen from a rough day: Jeff S
  16. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 04:03 PM) Well that just feels good. Oh it certainly does. Especially not allowing a run after the 2nd.
  17. That was nasty. Great job Schuck!
  18. You could have someone call pitches from dugout...
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 12:06 PM) I said this in the game thread yesterday. If you're going to call a guy up who has 1 year above A-ball you're going to expect errors on the basepaths and other mental errors. The greatest coach in human history isn't going to change that. Young guys get called up and make mistakes. If they weren't willing to overlook some mental errors from Micah and still called him up then Micah isn't the problem, management is. Hell, for yesterday's baserunning throwout, he was on 2b with 1 out and Abreu was on deck. He shouldn't have had the green light anyway. That one hangs on the dugout too, the manager shouldn't have given him the green light to even try. The dugout can't act like he's 29 year old Ricky Henderson with a complete book on every single pitcher in the league and how to recognize their pickoff moves until he's actually seen some of them. All good points. I do wish they'd leave micah to just sit on the basepaths without a greenlight and just get used to how the pitchers watch him and deal with him rather than "MICAHS ON! GO GO GO1"
  20. It is frustrating though that I'm not sure it's just that control is off as much as these guys seem to have no confidence to throw it over the plate. It's not attacking the batters, they are pitching away from everyone.
  21. wow, padres only 24%?
  22. I will say this, Beckham's 3rd base yesterday was the only remotely enjoyable thing on a horrible horrible day.
  23. First off, I am still very frustrated about this season. Like many have stated, the frustration hasn't just been because of the losing but in the horrendously unwatchable product they've put ont he field. Watching Noesi toil through 90 pitches in three innings, and wasting 20 seconds between each pitch made me hate baseball. So, I was mad and felt like yesterday that Coop now probably sucks. I sent out to prove my theory here with stats, but as I was researching, I basically found that no, Coop doesn't suck. The last 3 years it seems that we have entered the season with pitchers who either a) cannot find the strike zone or b) are terrified to pitch in the strike zone because when they do it gets crushed. This is annoying to me because of how much we hear about how long spring training is, yet our pitchers do not enter the season ready for primetime. One thing I did notice: our pitchers tended to have their highest BABIP in april/march in 2013/14/15, which may lead me to believe that it may not be that our pitching is so bad in April, but our defense is so horrendous out of spring training that they try to get hitters to chase for k/s that aren't coming. But there is another thing, maybe Cooper just isn't a good pitching coach anymore. Or maybe we aren't giving him the pitchers he succeeds with. The classic Coop pitcher is probably Matt Thornton. So it goes, give this guy a wild but powerful pitcher, and he will have them cut down on their speed for improved control, and add a secondary offering like the cutter and voila. But it seems to me that recently Hahn has focused on bringing in groundball pitchers, whose stuff is really not there. Looking through 2012-2013-2014, we don't have power arms anymore in our bullpen. Nate Jones is the last holdover. I can't figure it out, is Coop suddenly just working with horrible talent? It's possible, there isn't pitcher from our bullpen last year that is pitching today. 2013 gives us some test cases, and they are pro-Coop. Addison Reed and Santiago have performed worse and about the same, respectively. And the rest of that roster? Yep, more pitchers who never found another team again: http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHW/2013.shtml So basically, our poor pitcher development has killed us in the bullpen. And we are 1-2 years away from seeing our more interesting arms come up (Montas, Danish, Trexler, Sanburn, Fry, etc etc) So no, Coop hasn't been able to turn garbage players into good players, but nobody else has been able to take our trash and improve it either.
  24. QUOTE (farmteam @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 08:50 PM) John Oliver had Edward Snowden on last night. Hilarious, but he didn't let Snowden off easy. Go to 15:53. Finally watched this. Amazing work by Oliver. His work is unmatched.
  25. I was on upper deck but what was Flowers deal? We're these wild throws or was he just awful? 1 of those runs only scored because of advancing on passed ball. Also I swear to God one at bat a twin player fouled one off and the guy at first went to second, and everyone seemed fine with it. Could not believe LaRoche struck out twice to MILONE.
