Sox trade: Alexei Ramirez Chicago Receives: LA weather for next 30 winters Pull the trigger hahn.

I was indifferent when winter was basically between 30 and 40 degrees and gray. 0-15 degrees and snowy every day is too much.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 18, 2014 -> 06:03 PM) ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo 15m15 minutes ago Clippers had 2 fast-break points in Monday's loss to Bulls, tied for their fewest in the Chris Paul era (since 2011-12) That's insane.

QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 18, 2014 -> 04:53 PM) I actually love winter. Having lived in a cold place (Illinois) and then the South, where there MIGHT be a single snow all year, I realized that I actually want the seasons to change and to have a real winter. I'm especially ready to make that trade when it means avoiding brutally hot summers. I loved winter until last year. Winters in Chicago were pretty mild through the 2000s and early 2010s, but I can't take 3+ months in the teens as highs.

If you were recalled from Rockford to Chicago for cap reasons but do not play, do you think you personally would still drive to Chicago to get out of Rockford for some respite? -
QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Nov 18, 2014 -> 04:29 PM) I also want to note that Noah has notched exactly 6 assists for 5 games in a row. If he gets 6 assists for 6 straight games, we might be at some sort of records here. He also looked so much more comfortable with playing C again. I realize noah at PF is better than Gasol at PF defensively, but I feel like Noah at C is so much stronger at C that it's worth it. Also, in the first five minutes, what I was allowed to see, Loved when Jimmy took Chris Paul matchup right away.

Also, really confused by Clippers. They get outrebounded every game. Makes sense giving up a lot of offensive rebounds because their guards start sprinting trying to get fast break points right away. But on the offensively, they also seem to leave the area right away and rarely contest rebounds. I get FB points, they are good at it. But why not commit fully to offense? If your defense is already terrible, try and grab more boards and create more offensive chances there.

Wish I could have seen the game last night. Saw first 5 minutes but knew I wouldn't last. TONS of assists last night, a beautiful noah line of 11/16/6, 6 assists for Taj. Dunleavy continues to play fantastic. Also, McDermott is shooting 20% from 3pt land. I am rooting for Doug, obviously liked the pick. But, stop with the handwringing about how McDermott will solve any offensive lull. Guy is learning a lot right now.

Adrian Peterson indicted for negligent injury to a child

This is what happens when a party in power doesn't actually care about what's right or wrong and instead just cares about whether people think what they are doing is right and not wrong. -

I have to say, Obviously I thought it was terrible what he did. But, the NFL really is just making it up as it goes along. -
So, not necessarily winter, but can you all remember a more crazy group of events to affect a commute in a single morning? Plane hits house in midway, Fire at a school shuts down all northbound trains (red/brown/purple), bus fire shuts down LSD south, and the travel times were at 1.5 hrs getting through almost every highway.

I'm glad you made this thread, this was what I wondered with the Russell Martin signing.

I mean, why run the ball when you can just pass it 60 yards to an uncovered receiver. -

I would take Stafford/Newton anyday. -
My favorite thing is how the entire league's players hate Dwight Howard as much as me.

After the draft, I think I read every bears article written through June. I didn't even watch yesterday. 5k no shows to the game as well. Fun team. -

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Nov 15, 2014 -> 04:15 AM) Well then. yea yea, not as fun as I thought. The offense is not fun to watch. They have no idea how to play against zones. But seriously, this is a team of freshman and sophomores, and no real big men. The scary thing is in years like these, they can become self fulfilling prophecies. We need big men, but we might not get em if we have a disaster campaign in KAs first year. -

There is no way the coach would jeopardize winning during his time to save their 2nd round pick for later in their career. Their offense is terrible. He was performing better than Greene. My point is basically there is no benefit to having him sit to anyone except their GM and I still don't buy it because why would you delay knowing what you have in your new RB? -

So last I heard Toronto's energy was behind signing Melky. Is this the end of that shot? -

Also, for the record, I don't think any team trading for Cutler is a good move for that team. BUT, it seems to have been established that there is in fact interest in Cutler. So who are those teams? My main guess would be Tennessee because: - They have had no good QBs for years and years - They have a coach who seems to want to use veterans who suck over youth (see Sankey, Bishop behind Shonn Greene) - Their organization seems to be very stupid and boring and trading for Cutler seems like the spicy and stupid move that would make them feel productive. -

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 06:57 PM) Jake Locker, Jay Cutler. Either way you aren't winning. Cutler may get you to .500 a couple times, but that's about it. Plus he makes a ton more. Better off drafting a young QB and if that doesn't work out, you draft another one. Right now the Titans are drafting 5th. There is a good chance they move up and the couple teams ahead of them probably aren't taking qb's. Good chance to get Mariota. I'd take that to over paying Cutler 17 million to get 6 or 7 wins. But it "seems" like you can win with him. -
Except his whole concept is horrendous for their personnel, and modern NBA in general.

That Lakers team is so bad, and I hope some will now realize why I laughed at Byron Scott's retreat hiring again.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 06:45 PM) They would kill to get the QB who has the most turnovers in the league? Who is one of the most paid. I would think they would rather just draft one. I would have thought so, but I don't understand what that organization does. I feel like they are striving to be the best 7-9 team in the world. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 06:01 PM) What teams would legitimately trade for Jay Cutler? About the only team I can think of that would have any semblance of interest is legitimately Buffalo, and that scares the holy bejesus out of me. Tennessee has had garbage qbs since McNair. Send him back to Nashville. Homecoming, etc.
