  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 2, 2014 -> 08:12 PM) Bmags, all the umps have to do is enforce the 12 second rule, and the rule where batters can't leave the box, but they won't do it. They should all be fired and start over with umps. They are the one organization that does whatever the f*** they want to do. It amazes me. But when the umps do enforce this rule people talk about them going on powertrips. There really is no good way to do it. Put a dang shot clock behind the guy, limit the amount of trips to the mound, get the game moving.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 2, 2014 -> 08:47 PM) The game itself is fine, though I hate 3:30 baseball for nine inning games. I wish they would enforce some of the rules about the speed of the game a bit better. Other than that, I am OK with it. They have to cut down the time. Have to. I don't know what best way is to speed up pitchers, but it needs to be done.
  3. QUOTE (Bruce_Blixton @ Jun 2, 2014 -> 05:53 PM) Seems like trading from our middle infield depth for a Competitive Balance pick makes the most sense, I wonder if L. Garcia or Saladino could net a Comp. Balance B pick from a team looking for a pro-ready utility guy. Saladino seems like a good fit with the Rays and Cards style of play, nothing flashy but solid all-around baseball skills. I doubt a player we are talking about cutting from our terrible AAA team will net a top 50 pick.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 2, 2014 -> 04:58 PM) I know he led the team in shots, but Hossa, just didn't look as strong as he usually is. Agreed, he didn't look the same after STL series. He wasn't wreaking havoc in the neutral zone and backchecking like we've come accustomed to. Normally you still notice a lot of Hossa even if he isn't scoring, but really in Minnesota and LA he was missing.
  5. The good news is his power was here, which I didn't know was real. The bad news is the k rate and contact numbers. Both of those I'd say are indicative of needing more seasoning.
  6. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 2, 2014 -> 03:20 AM) So is someone coming up ? A certain poster who shall remain nameless said Sanchez is being called up. Some guy named Abreu.
  7. QUOTE (lord chas @ Jun 2, 2014 -> 04:17 AM) All that silly dynasty talk can stop now This is definitely a post that needed to be made
  8. I knew it was gonna be some s*** like that.
  9. Patrick sharp is back. I hope we get to watch it for more than this OT
  10. Nice oppo by saad but all these turnovers were my biggest nightmare beginnin
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 2, 2014 -> 02:53 AM) It has to be Kane right? I'm open to Any combo of blackhawk players but against any kings players performing this one.
  12. I guess it had to be this way. I've felt pretty comfy all game, but now I'm terrified.
  13. Uh oh. Times for a kings streak. Need to survive and attack,
  14. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 2, 2014 -> 02:54 AM) Chicago Blackhawks ‏@NHLBlackhawks The Sharp-Saad connection. #ChingueAsuMadreEPN Isn't that a little much for an official NHL team's tweet? What if it were in English? Edit- they deleted it I'm gonna guess they had a different idea of what that meant. Hawks twitter is a little less stuffy than bears or others though so maybe just went to far
  15. Hawks need to stay aggressive. Kings can score a lot in a hurry, we've seen that in the UC firsthanded
  16. Great patience by hammer there but shaw just needed to elevate more. Fifth powerplay come on gotta get one more
  17. Why is Seabrooks so hesitant to chase after pucks dumped in? Another goal off of lazy getting back by him
  18. I get that it bounced higher than it should have but the whole "and it curved!?!?" Thing to be the type of justification people make up when you have the reputation Quick has.
  19. Unfortunately it looks like this game will be everything it was billed as, for my nerves at least. I bet rocks doing laundry again
