  1. Marco Bellinelli is just useless. At least Korver could hit a three, and TRIED. I can't believe he was the one pickup I was excited for.
  2. Cease fire. Amazing Israel would let the US broker a ceasefire since they aren't our ally, right Kap?
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 10:08 PM) I am not excusing what Rachal did here, you never leave your team. But I want to know why Rachal is getting demoted for Spencer here, when all we saw on Monday night was Webb and Carimi getting their asses handed to them? I'm going to go out on a limb and say Spencer could reasonably provide better blocking than Rachal, but we have absolutely horrid tackles behind our horrid tackles. Although I honestly think Lance Louis played a better RT last year than Carimi who has just been awful. Absolutely awful.

QUOTE (vandy125 @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 08:00 PM) Just curious, was it before or after they released a patch on November 13. It was supposed to address that very issue: http://news.cnet.com/8301-10805_3-57549437...ks-performance/ It was before then, that's true.

QUOTE (vandy125 @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 05:54 PM) I think a lot of people have liked the surface. The problem is, where do you go to even take a look at one? They are only in Microsoft stores and online. I'm not spending that type of cash when I can't even try the thing out at all. Also, their app store is still lacking. It will get much better because it is Windows, but still needs more apps. I actually played around with one, and it was disturbingly laggy. I really like the windows 8 on the lumia. But on a bigger device that I want to do more I found it frustrating.
  6. Excited for the MU Stanford game. Not sure I'll be able to watch. Very conflicted on this Mizzou team, I think they might be very inconsistent. But man, amazing how different this team is than last year.

I've heard great things about the Asus transformers, but for most reviews it just seems to come down on how they're behind on screen quality.

I'm pretty sure we're gonna get the nexus 10.1. But the Galaxy S Tab talk is making me thing twice. Has anyone liked the surface? Poor windows.
  10. QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 17, 2012 -> 10:28 PM) So Maryland and Rutgers as possible additions to Big 10? yuck.
  11. Still lots of sloppy play for Mizzou on defense. Poor rotations. But I guess that comes with more time together. But I'm amazed at how much trust Haith already has in Negus Webster-Chan as a frosh. He was putting him at the 1 last night (I'm guessing the Keion Bell at the 1 experiment is over?). Really looking forward to dixon coming back, but I respect Haith sticking to his guns on this.
  12. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Nov 16, 2012 -> 11:33 PM) Are you f***ing kidding me? Pass the bong. I need some of that. Maybe I should pass you a history book instead.

Their snack cakes will be fine. Wonder bread, on the other hand.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 16, 2012 -> 08:18 PM) You really don't think the feds are capable of making bad decisions today? I think you have many more examples of states and municipalities discriminating against minority groups than the federal government for the long history of the united states. But somehow it is argued that the states have a special right to discriminate because they are states and states have the right to discriminate. I'm not persuaded.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 16, 2012 -> 08:04 PM) The problem is the feds have instituted just as bad of policies over the years. Should we talk about the 3/5 rule here? Why should something be OK for everyone, just because the federal government decides that it is? I think an unsaid assumption here is that the federal government somehow always makes the best decisions for the masses... that just isn't true. Your example is from 200 years ago.
  16. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Nov 16, 2012 -> 08:12 PM) Contradictory post is contradictory. "There is no complaint...the complaint is..." Didn't the democrats do exactly this in IL and win a few seats by doing so? The article has no complaint, you just read into things by the posters who put them. My complaint is that they f***ed up by not being competent in the 2010 elections. The article is addressing how the democrats could have fared so well in presidential and senatorial elections and not so well in the house. That's not a complaint.
  17. I'm not sure why you guys believe there is a complaint. The complaint is that democrats should perhaps stop sitting on their asses during midterms.
  18. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Nov 16, 2012 -> 05:48 PM) i doubt anyone is going to buy hostess and staff it with the union guys at their previous wages and benefits. it wouldn't make any sense to do so. Correct.
  19. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 15, 2012 -> 04:28 PM) I don't think this is true. As the constitution was written, and for decades after, the role of the federal government was still in dispute. The goal of the constitution was to create the general rules for the emerging nation of collective states. There's a reason it was called the United States of America and not just America. Individual states wanted to retain the majority of the control over its land/citizens. But over 250+ years later that distinction has eroded more and more. "The goal of the constitution was to create the general rules for the emerging nation of collective states." The articles of confederation created general rules for the emerging nation of collective states, as well.
  20. If hyperinflation were about to hit, I don't think you would be seeing this current change in the fed you are seeing now. But when inflation starts to occur due to a recovery, let's not pull the plug on the recovery.
  21. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 14, 2012 -> 08:55 PM) I'm still confused as to why socialism is the opposite of federalism Socialism is used as broadly as hipsters now.
  22. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Nov 14, 2012 -> 02:03 AM) That right there is what's f***ed up about the Union of Socialist Republics, er, I mean the United States of Socalism, er, I mean the United States of America today. If you want to dismiss the very core of what the Constitution is about, I'll just start calling you comrade. the core purpose of the constitution was to strengthen the role of the federal government.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 13, 2012 -> 08:51 PM) I don't think they are bad, I just don't think they are very good either. Regardless of bad or good, they are absolutely not fun to watch.
  24. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 13, 2012 -> 09:32 PM) I live across the street from a starbucks and I am trying to get away from going there everyday. Made my first cup today, not bad so far. Definitely better than the single cup coffee maker I had before. I applaud you. We've done the same effort. Still prefer drip to keurig.
