  1. Dude, i'd love to have orton back. Maybe he's changed, but I used to love getting the pictures of him drunk as hell with stains all over his shirt.
  2. Also, gronkowski doesn't appear to be afraid of getting hit, unlike Olsen.
  3. Hahaha. All is justified. The same lack of accountability you so decry in teachers unions is a matter of intense justification for the police. They can never be wrong, they can never be punished.
  4. "I'm going to stab you" "ok" i see nothing wrong here.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 01:05 AM) If you like boring shows that are basically there to say "wasn't it crazy that people lived like this back in the past?" idiotic.

nonsense, mad men was great from the beginning.
  10. Gore is so good he is better than himself...at everything.
  11. I'm having difficulty finding news on tahrir square. It seems encouraging that despite the deaths, the government is being...responsive, i guess? people are stepping down over it. Thoughts go out to those young people trying to change their country.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 05:49 PM) The target itself doesn't need to be the reason the violence happens. And yes, I have no reason to believe that police just happen to walk up to a random group of people and begin assaulting them for no reason at all. I have been at plenty of protests, very large, and very small, and have never seen the police react violently. Heck, even at times where people probably deserved a baton upside the head, they haven't gotten it. Meh, they are given orders to remove the protestors. They come across a group of a bunch of college kids sitting down. They tell them to move then immediately pepper spray the s*** out of them and then still muscle them into the ground and put handcuffs on them and the police say what...successful operation. The problem now is that there is no accountability in police depts. It is too "protect your own", and the hardest punishment that seems to be given out is suspensions.
  13. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 04:45 PM) The Packers are gonna put 40 on them Thursday. We owe them one. Please do.
  14. Lots of teams seem to "come back to life" against the Panthers D. The panthers scored a ton of points on that vaunted Lions D, 2 games in a row of 35+ pts against.
  15. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 05:27 PM) Contrary to ss2k5, I don't think they are intentionally getting themselves beat and sprayed. They didn't highlight abusive authority--the police did by carrying out these actions. I think they are, but beside that, they are holding up police brutality as their rally points, not the occupy original message.
  16. The bears D giving up a lot of yards has been a staple for years. They haven't given up a sack in like 3 games after giving up 29 or however many in the first 5. That's no because jay cutler is just avoiding them. It's because lance louis has been amazing.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 05:23 PM) My argument has been all along that you are watching it. I don't disagree with you on the blocking intersections and bridge marches, but the actual camp break ups i don't think was meant for this.
  18. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 05:17 PM) It can be related back to the same central theme of power vs. powerless and the use of the state to protect privilege. But it does obscure the central wealth and income inequality message. It will also kill any goodwill you have from the country. I do believe police privilege is a discussion to have, but don't ruin your occupy message taking that on. It's too muddled. I went to OWS chi twice, even made a sign, but was really hoping that some sort of political organizing would result from it. But it's just run by kids who for the first time feel like they are "connecting" and s***. The heart of this was the tumblr...we literally needed a powerful and charismatic person to help push it. It's funny, in a way, the conservative tea party protests for decentralizing big government were much better at centralizing their power, then the OWS movement which started off so promising getting union and community participation, only to not make that next step. It sucks. Their emotional argument was 100% correct, but they were so scared of alienating anyone they never allowed the intellectual argument it needed. And so may smart people were there to make it.
  19. I don't even know how to respond to that. The line isn't better at all, huh? Did you see the long throws cutler had when he had multiple seconds to throw long? Those didn't happen earlier. Our defense isn't much better at all compared to the beginning of the season? These are just stupid observations. They deserve to be called out as stupid. Stats will not back you up.
