  1. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 16, 2011 -> 03:58 PM) Rodgers is really just an average player at this point. gosox, have you ever seen such polite respect from bears fans as this year. I learned something about myself, personally. I just hated Brett Favre completely. Now that you just have an amazing QB who is reasonably nice and plays beautifully, I really don't hate them. I just want to see them lose.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 15, 2011 -> 06:17 AM) As soon as a bean is ground the coffee starts to degrade. That's why I was asking about a grind and brew. Those Pre packaged drinks just don't do it for me. Take my suggestion on dark matter!
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 15, 2011 -> 11:21 PM) McQueary to be on CBS Evening News tonight. softball interviewers.
  4. I was on the lovie sucks thing before last year. But the nfc championship game turned me on him. His team played brilliantly. A fantastic scheme executed wonderfully, yet, a crucial mistake in putting in collins lost us the game. It was the definition of Lovie. But, Lovie's teams are among the top in turnovers every year. That is not luck.

Somebody call Bale's agent, lets set this up.

I don't watch walking dead, but, if you guys come across a well with a bloated dead body in it, zombie or not, I'd suggest not drinking it for a while.
  7. I may make my first bears game this sunday since Dave Krieg was filling in for Erik Kramer by tossing bombs to curtis conway. That game we beat the lions 37-14 i believe, or 31-14. Something very similar to last sunday.
  8. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 15, 2011 -> 04:34 PM) Luck is going to be a beast learning from Peyton. Even Rodgers himself said digesting that playbook and learning from Favre on tendencies of the QB position on the field helped his development. In fact.. I'd argue he was one year over ready. His accuracy is just incredible. I go back and forth on this, there are qbs that have been amazing and started from day 1, there are qbs that have been amazing sitting on the bench, I think it really just comes down to there are good Qbs and bad qbs. I doubt Aaron Rodgers learned accuracy and his great pass selection from Brett Favre.
  9. You could get a lot more for Peyton now...and the colts need a lot.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 15, 2011 -> 04:27 PM) Drafting an Andrew Luck can not be construed as weak in any sense. It is more like great or excellent choices for the future of the Colts. The thing is, by all accounts, there is no reason to have Luck sit for 2 years. You are going to have to make a hard decision one way or another. Peyton Manning is going to decide when HE wants to retire, not what's best for the team. What if he's playing at a high level for 4-5 more years? If they draft Luck, they should part with Manning. They need to make that hard decision to part with the QB that has meant everything to them for 13 years. It's best to cut the ties that bind you now.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 15, 2011 -> 01:09 AM) I seriously doubt the Maloofs have brought in positive revenue from the kings in a while. I'd bet they've had to put money into te team the last few years, so this is more a bill going away, at least in the short term. They've been using the kings to pay off other debts, actually.

  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 15, 2011 -> 03:04 PM) something tells me that the Second Mile foundation will not survive this There are many other charities not run by child rapists that can take its place.
  14. I had a quote last year that tried to encompass his brilliance and idiocy. I do believe he is both. But being an NFL football coach is hard, and he's a good one. Even our awful 2009-10 season I can't believe we got to 7 wins. While I'm still confused why he thinks Martz would be a good OC for his type of game, but he has attracted good assistant coaches. Best of all being Tice.
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 15, 2011 -> 12:43 AM) Now that would be funny. The owners don't NEED their franchises. They've made their money elsewhere. The players on the other hand...well...good luck with your day to day jobs. yes, the owners could easily swallower their 500 million dollar investments going bunk. The Maloofs especially could swallow that.
  16. We can't all be doctors.
  17. Matt Schaub has a hand injury too?
  18. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 14, 2011 -> 04:47 PM) I wouldn't look past San Diego or Oakland. San Diego has enough talent to whoop anyone in any given weak and the Raiders are a very tough, physical football team. They are a solid squad that I expect to get better as Palmer jells a bit. Their rushing attack is fierce. I agree, I won't take them lightly, i consider them a "toss-up", however, I AM excited about our special teams going upa gainst theirs. They are better than last year, but I'm still excited for it.
  19. you guys need to knock on some wood. I'll just say this, prior to the eagles game I looked at the schedule. I gave a very conservative estimate of 5 winnable games, 2 toss ups and 2 losses. We've won the toss up and the loss. So I DEFINITELY feel we'll beat vegas.
  20. Anyone looking for a good bean in Chicago I suggest getting some bags from star lounge. Dark matter coffee is my favorite to make from home.
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 11, 2011 -> 11:25 PM) No they dont. The deadline has changed, and the players have changed their percentage to favor the Owners everytime the deadline has changed. The owners have been slowly grinding out the players, and soon Stern is going to say "f*** you all, we are going to get 47 percent and you are going to like it. And if you dont like it, we will wait you out" The players originally wanted nothing less than 54 percent, then 52.5, then 52, 51, now they are at 50. Exactly, and s*** like the Dleague exceptions are just to change the negotiating points away from BRI to that stuff..."well we'll take out the dleague exceptions for another .5% in BRI"
  22. I think Duke Belmont will be a fun one to watch tonight.
  23. players are getting under my skin now. They should have taken 51%. They won't get a deal more than 50% anymore. They will start to dissect. They are giving up millions. Sigh.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 11, 2011 -> 07:22 PM) http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/break..._medium=twitter I.e. "I'm being forced to." Also, awesome article. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/721835...ing-made-simple
  25. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 10, 2011 -> 10:44 PM) They were informed 4 years earlier about another incident. THEY could have ended it there, without any of Paterno's additional input. But the fact is, even when the cops are involved, and the DA has been notified (of the 2002 incident) NOTHING f***ING HAPPENED. So no, you cannot say with certainty that Paterno's notification to the police would have resulted any differently here. Now, whether Paterno could have used other means to get this s*** out, that's another issue. And he certainly could have told Sandusky to get the f*** out even if the police/university didn't. I can say with certainty that had Paterno gone to the police, he would not be the ire of so many right now. But he didn't, so you are hanging on that it wouldn't matter. I disagree, but do know that at the point of him filing a police report on record would satisfy many's threshold for conviction and compassion in the face of evil.
