I don't know how that's at all surprising, I don't think there is a stronger relationship between a coach and town as there is b/w Paterno and Happy Valley. I can't think of a more revered coach/town relationship, that article is pretty similar to things I've read about there even prior to this investigation.

In more realistic goals. Vegas to begin the year put the bears at over under 8.5 wins. So many people hated us and picked the under they moved it to 8. I'd take a moral victory at 9 wins, and shoot Bill Barnwell a big haha.

Another thing regarding Cutler's play. It seems to me the past few successful weeks, we have been bringing in the TEs to block and leaving only a few receivers to go out on a route. This takes away Martz's famed matchups. But allowed time, Cutler has been getting the ball to receivers that are only open in the sense that he has found a way to fit the ball in where they can catch it. In a game with 3 very good cover corners going against 3, frankly average or worse, receivers, our QB still managed to make that a successful play. No INTs thrown. 2 TDs (one gorgeous). This is his added value with time to throw.

BUt most of all, we're going to get more money and not be in a conference so top heavy with 2 programs that the rest get consistently screwed. We may never again have a 1-loss season under Pinkel. But, we'll have a lot of great games to watch every year. And now, I don't have to worry about if the Big 12 dissolves, Mizzou being stuck in the mountain west.
