  4. look how great pierre is at stealing bases!
  5. yay, i'm watchin this game. My first game thread o the year...
  6. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Mar 29, 2010 -> 08:01 PM) -Question: if Ozzie's small-ball lineup that KW didn't want succeeds--will KW acknowledge Ozzie was right? If KW was that stubborn I don't think he would give Ozzie this lineup in the first place.
  7. I've always respected Peter Gammons so it's no surprise, but I do enjoy and respect when national writers accurately encapsulate the reality of our team. It makes me trust their opinions on other teams and makes them a staple of my reading queue.
  8. Cool story, but sorry you had to go through that. Also, that was really great of your friend. I like when organizations do this and aren't sending out press releases with it like "Look how nice we are" Props to the White Sox for showing that they care.
  9. Alexei was helping us telepathically from cuba.
  10. What I love is that 20 became such a number. Just like with getting 8 1/3 innings of perfect ball, getting 18 ks is great, but won't really be remembered.
  11. yeah, watched last nights. But if these are the characters they developed, I still don't think I'll be watching. I hated all of them but especially the "f*** YOU" part. talk about melodramatic.
  12. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Mar 29, 2010 -> 06:43 PM) Here's my impression, let me try and extrapolate this out based on what we know at the moment: The person who did this was probably under the impression that everything he expensed was rubber stamped with no over-sight. The expense was not discovered until some searched into the FEC fillings... so, the person was right. No one called him out on it. He very well may not have know all his expenses were public record. I don't think that doesn't make him stupid. "I didn't think I'd be caught" doesn't mean it isn't dumb. ANd wrong.
  13. I would be shocked if a flash deal goes through. But, i mean, the multi tasking and stuff should be implemented soon.
  14. They'd rather just blame the media.
  15. god how dumb could you be to put that on your expense account. Ha
  16. WOW WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT?!?!?!
  17. That's ridiculous. The board as consensus pretty much knew 07 was going to be pretty awful, it didn't make 07 any easier. There's few told you so moments, in 05 the battle over those throwing up the flag when cleveland was steaming behind and those rally crede-ing did create some ha-ha's when we wrapped up the division (nobody cared when we won the WS). It's pretty easy to understand this message board. YOu have thousands of posters who are really passionate about their team and want to read about them constantly. We do this because you want to be able to understand the team. We want to be able to understand why we are doing well, or why we are failing, because it's fun to understand. But these predictions don't have any control over the emotions of the season. IF we win, we are happy. If we lose, we are unhappy. If we thought we'd be bad and are, we are still unhappy. If we thought we'd be bad and are good, we are still happy. A lot of these people Ranger is classifying as can be negative about anyone to no consequences because they'll just celebrate anyway if they are good, well yeah. They are able to celebrate because most all of us here invest in this team through watching games and merchandise. We don't NOT follow the team and then follow when they are great, our investment in this team at any level is enough to be able to celebrate the success. We don't all need to fool ourselves to think everything about this team will work out just so then if it does we can celebrate it guilt free. Guilt would come from celebrating the team when we don't know a damn thing about them.
  18. ugh, look at the bug eyed POS. Gross
  19. speak? I think he spoke at a forum but not a speech.
  20. Was super excited to watch the pacific since I loved band of brothers so much. But it was awful. As I told my friend, it was more Pearl Harbor the movie than band of brothers.
  21. 20 ks is incredible. That performance was amazing. Both showed how exciting great pitching can be, however.
  22. Well, if they do, lets just hope they broadcast it on youtube first.
  23. Man charged after threatening to kill eric cantor on youtube... http://tpmlivewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/2...deo.php?ref=fpa Bravo police. And bravo youtube for making it so easy for us to find the whackos.
  24. ahh, i can just see it, an email from Tim Kaine to supporters saying he just watched michael moores sicko and how awesome it was. And how cknolls would not miss the point on that email.
  25. no biggy, those people keep me employed. Love how they pick and choose when to follow the constitution.
