  1. Okay hollywood
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 10:08 PM) And no violent left wing protests took place during the Bush administration? Are you serious? PROTESTS! YOU THINK WERE MAD ABOUT PROTESTS!
  3. Probably because during the nineties when Clinton was the anti-christ et al the following happened: Oklahoma City Bombing Numerous abortion clinics bombed and doctors murdered (including a web site of their names and addresses where their names were marked off when they were killed) and then as soon as Obama gets elected we have Tiller get killed. What are your examples?
  4. Not sure if i posted this. http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200910/bush-torture Too long not to just link. Hell of an article.
  5. and by the way, unless this dude was decomposing for 8 months, it was not well before any of the things we mentioned.
  6. If people on this forum identified with Beck/Bachmann then maybe they should be offended. But otherwise to assume that because we are pointing out the crap they were spewing may have spurred a violent act we are condemning all republicans, and all conservatives, is just not showing the respect, or at least it shows indignant contempt, for the posters who have showed no such tendencies in the past. nobody is new here, we all know each other. Bachmann is saying really inciteful s*** to dumb people who might believe it. Beck as well. If you don't think this kind of speech has an effect on people, see mid nineties abortion clinic bombings. And THAT was from people with SMALLER influence than Bachmann AND beck.
  7. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 07:21 PM) I know you didn't SAY that but what's the next step in saying that "they're responsible" for whoever this f***tard was that killed this guy? That's more or less what you were (perhaps unclearly) perpetuating when you wrote what I repeated. when I write "It doesn't mean I want to throw them in jail for hate speech. But the voices who cry out against these lunatics should not be seen as illegitimate if stuff like this turns out to be true." Meaning, people should start paying attention and give legitimacy to the voices saying bachmann/beck are saying dangerous things, and you infer that what I'm saying that they should go on trial for this...that means you shouldn't infer things anymore.
  8. Rio is beautiful. But they are gonna be running the BoP like crazy to clean up the favelas.
  9. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 07:16 PM) And then I said to you that IMO that's a pretty ignorant statement and a lot of how this hate crap gets thrown around and perpetuated. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA is that what you actually think you are writing when you write : Your hands typing and what you think you are writing are completely different. Where did I say that Glenn Beck and Bachmann should be on trial? I said the EXACT opposite of this. If you think hate speech can't fuel some nasty violence, check out Rwanda.
  10. If "Fed" scrawled on his chest turns out to be a nickname, then I'll take it back. BUt a census worker being killed with "Fed" written on his chest while high profile politicians/media personalities are making patently ridiculous, false statements about the census program, it's not insane to connect the two. Did this murderer, if it turns out to be murder, act on his own accord? Yes. Would he have killed on his own? Maybe/probably. Should Bachmann/Beck continue to be called out for making incredibly ignorant, stupid, hateful and borderline inciteful comments? Yes, period.
  11. kap, i don't understand what you read, if you read, who you argue against, what you are talking about...don't quote me if you are going to place my argument exactly the opposite of what I'm talking about.
  12. The Beckists aren't really republican as much as just completely anti-establishment. Bachmann is republican, and talking about how census workers will kill us all. This part time census worker was just hung with the words "Fed" scrawled on his chest. The conclusion that this somehow might be related is not completely insane. The fact that kapkomet and other republicans seem to take us saying it is personally is. This man/woman who did this is insane. He/She is not rational. He/She is not you. It doesn't mean the hysterical rhetoric from Bachmann/Beck could not have fueled this murder. It doesn't mean I want to throw them in jail for hate speech. But the voices who cry out against these lunatics should not be seen as illegitimate if stuff like this turns out to be true.
  13. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 06:11 PM) "If we look at American history, between 1942 and 1947, the data that was collected by the census bureau was handed over to the FBI and other organizations, at the request of President Roosevelt, and that’s how the Japanese were rounded up and put into the internment camps. I’m not saying that’s what the Administration is planning to do. But I am saying that private, personal information that was given to the census bureau in the 1940s was used against Americans to round them up." - Michele Bachmann Well to be fair, in the 40's we were at war with the Japanese. And right now Obama is at war with white people, right?
  14. god, never again please.
  15. QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 06:03 PM) Teams like OU and Alabama had no interest in their games against Boise/Utah. Playing those teams are major letdowns in their minds. The mental aspect is huge in college sports. You think Alabama wanted to play some "mid major" team a month after losing their chance to play for a title? So of course there's a good chance you'll get a close game when one team is playing their Super Bowl and the other team is just there to get a free PS3. Sure Boise stands a small chance to upset a Florida/Texas/Alabama when neither team has played for 50 days. But winning one game a season (Oregon game) shouldnt give you the chance to play a school that has to go through a good conference for 8-9 games for a title. If Boise St wants that kind of respect then they need to atleast get in the Mountain West Conference. I just dont want to hear their fans crying when they go undefeated and 2-one loss teams are playing for the title. I'm sure the disappointment of playing Boise State is so large that they forget they are playing for the national friggen championship.
  16. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 06:12 PM) You were referring to a John McCain quote? Weird. Sorry I wasn't privy to your inside joke. It was a pretty covered topic and quote during Georgia/Russia conflict. condescension welcome though. edit: I easily could have just referred to Putin's KGB career to justify it, as well.
  17. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 06:01 PM) Then you need to study Russia a little better, becase the KGB has their own set of interests seperate from either Medvedev OR Putin (thoughly obviously at times in concert). Not really, because I'm referring to John McCain's reiterated phrase where he'd say "I looked into his eyes and saw K.G.B." and then smile showing how tough on the cold war he was. thanks for the accusation though! Come again!
  18. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 06:04 PM) It's nice to put them away, but in reality an indictment is enough to keep them under surveillance and make them unusable for generations. I feel this way too. And considering some of the "terror plots" that have been convicted have been much weaker than this, where it was damn near entrapment, I don't think it'll be a problem.
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 04:58 PM) I don't think he was referring to the KGB being the puppetmaster. KGB eyes is putin NSS
  20. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 04:56 PM) I don't think he threw the frog in the water. There was a cutaway--likely no frog in his hands. well, that analogy isn't true anyways. So we need to come up with something else.
  21. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 04:55 PM) Been hearing a lot about this out here over the last week. Getting the sense that they were getting close to operational, because they are still looking for some things, and they're talking openly now about the kind of bombs that they were using. Sort of trying to blow up the plot before the plot can blow up a subway tunnel. Sounds like his visit to NYC on Sept. 10 was the last straw to take care of this thing before it delivers.
  22. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 04:53 PM) Hopefully the puppetmaster in Russia will allow Medvedev to follow through on those actions. I think we are getting to a point where Russia may, in fact, act - simply because with oil not being nearly the economic darling to them as it was a year ago, it makes sanctions a lot less painful to Russia. I don't think Medvedev would have spoken without prior approval from KGB eyes. Did I ever speak to the hilarious genius of medvedev working to end the term limits on president so it allowed Putin to run again after he steps aside.
  23. kind of hope lost can add some light without compromising anything. Of what it says in this, how much of the tactics to track him are...ahem...of recent legality. Say...8 years... out of curiosity.
  24. http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/...b.php?ref=fpblg Still a lot of stuff to clear up, but kudos to the FBI for getting this guy.
