Who cares? NCAA isn't just a minor leagues for NFL. Tebow is having a season that won't be duplicated for a long time. -

Alright, I'm off to San Antonio for MUvOU. here's to a good game and Maclin with 3 return TDs. -
he probably did both. A temper tantrum of sorts.

I mean honestly I don't think they are in a hurry to deal Mcab, maybe they are banking on one of the teams trying to trade for him having a bad time at winter meetings and they up the offer. They have no reason to rush this.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 30, 2007 -> 07:13 PM) I see what he meant, but I also see where someone could take his comments as slightly xenophobic. I don't feel they are, but I can see where someone could take them that way at face value. Seems to be a bit of an over-reaction to flip out about NME printing what he said, though. well, it is Morissey.

the game wasn't close, though.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 30, 2007 -> 12:29 AM) huh? OSU has been the second most dominant program in college football this decade after USC, OSU boasting five league titles to the Trojans' six, one national title USC's two and three BCS bowl victories to SC's four. Florida coming out and beating OSU last year has made them a slow, overrated conference just like that? Its very easy to tell who just started watching college football. Funny how playing Texas back to back years was never a problem with people and OSU's schedule, we have also scheduled USC, VT, and Miami in the next several seasons. This year Washington was supposed to be a tough opponent, and we played them on the road. Still sitting here trying to figure out this overrated blow out claim.....Big 12 little man syndrome? I have no idea. First off, I am not the one complaining about strength of schedule. It's the big 10 fans who are whining about how anyone can have the audacity to rank a team from a different conference be ranked ahead of OSU. I'm glad OSU scheduled that game against texas, that proved some great games. Missouri scheduled a big ten team, and SEC team and a Mac team for their out of conference schedule this year. The players won these games that were put ahead of them. Apparently that's reason to punish them for not skipping their schedule to instead play whoever was the flavor of the month on top of the polls for the moment...oh how about wisconsin at #5, that would've made us look good. Oooh, not so much. Maybe Cal at #2 would've helped us? s***. no. The 00's Big 12 National Championships: 2 Big 12 National Championship appearances: 4 Big 10 National Championships: 1 Big 10 National Championship appearances: 2 Big 12 doesn't need to prove it's resume. But yes, I feel that if OSU couldn't compete with Florida's speed when they had Ginn and the like, they wouldn't do well against west virgina - who is basically Illinois' rushing attack x5, U of I has the talent to get there but WVU has had this crew together for a couple years now. And for that crack about spread offenses, yeah with lesser talent those spread offenses have allowed them more success than they should have.

why the hell would he rule us out? If we pay him the most why wouldn't he come here?

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 29, 2007 -> 11:01 PM) Juice pretty much did not play at all in that game. And Eddie McGhee was pretty awful. Not our fault we concussed Juice. I would have preferred Juice played. He looked awful. McGee had a bad first half, but he impressed me very much in the second half. He can actually hit a receiver, and when you have a receiver like Benn, that's more important than one that can run. I can't believe the long passes Juice was getting off vs. OU, his wide open receivers would just have to sit and wait for the lame ducks to arrive.

BAHAHAHAH LSU concerned about OSU? I highly doubt it. What is their threat? Did they get faster from last year? no. The big Ten was weak as ever. It's funny seeing the Big 10 every year coming with their overrated rankings after their seasons playing overrated teams and then they get into bowls and get blown out. If it was easy winning every game in a season, more people would do it, even with weak schedules. If it's as simple as good team should beat weaker teams, than michigan shouldn't have lost to app. state, Ohio State shouldn't have lost to illinois, at home, USC shouldn't have lost to Stanford, and LSU most certainly should have not lost to arkansas...etc. In a year when so many unranked teams have beaten ranked teams, you'd think that the team that didn't have major blunders against weak weak opponents wouldn't get s*** on as much as Missouri. No, we lost in Norman, a place I'd say Oklahoma has built a pretty big reputation winning there. Kansas despite playing a weak schedule, is a consistent team that had to win in hard places, that's why better teams lose to worse ones, it's tough to play in college station, it's tough to play in colorado. Despite the score, at one point Mizzou was leading 37-14 against U of I. As was common early in the year, we let up a lot in the second half. We had a pretty young defense, they got better as the year went on. Surprisingly, so did our offense, our running game was non-existent earlier in the year. I know looking back it's easy to say "well that team sucks now", but like I said, Missouri did beat Nebraska when they were ranked, we beat texas tech when they were ranked, and we didn't just beat them, we beat the s*** out of them. And teams we beat unranked turned out better than we thought (i.e. U of I). And LSU had a hell of a time against Ole Miss, but when we do, it shows we are "weak". (Still won though) And I'll tell you what...we'd beat michigan. we'd beat Penn State. We'd beat OSU. We'd beat Wisconsin. The Big Ten doesn't scare me at all. The SEC does, the PAC 10 has schools that do, and WVU's rushing attack do. But an SEC team would be foolish not to be scared of our offense. 5 rb's avg. 4.9 yards a carry. Two top TE's in the nation. Heisman Candidate QB. Freshman that broke record in all-purpose yards. Will Franklin, Danario Alexander, JRay. I'm sorry the Big Ten has to rely on other teams that continue to play to lose to get into more BCS games. Maybe Michigan should've learned how to deal with spread offenses. Maybe Wisconsin shouldn't have choked away their top 5 ranking. Maybe OSU shouldn't have lost to Illinois. at HOME. And Maybe Illinois shouldn't have had losses to...IOWA. Even Iowa state can beat iowa. Hell, NIU barely beat Iowa. I realize college football fans hate to see anyone other than the 8 major programs get in the spotlight. But don't fault a team for ... I don't know, winning so much that they work their way to #1, while the other teams choke.
-
you see, what's funny is you think you have a stronger strength of schedule, when in fact you don't.
-
Um...if you count teams that have been ranked at some point this season...then Missouri has played 6 ranked teams and beaten 5 of them. Our loss was to a top ten team in Norman, where OU doesn't lose very often. Your loss was to a top 15 team at home. Hmm...yeah big ten was pretty great this year...at collapsing from your top rankings. Big Ten teams can't compete with spread offenses, we'd easily drop 40+ on you.

Gameday is comin to San Antonio!!! Oh man I'm so excited! Any sign ideas appreciated. I'm going to do background checks on all Oklahoma players. Row 16 in the end zone (fun for field goals.). I'm so amped. What a sight to see the papers...I have every single BCS standings in the USA Today, New York Times, St. Louis Dispatch and Columbia Missourian taped to my wall. I truly feel lucky. Only 2 has this happened in mizzou's history and it happens when I'm here. Kudos to Mike Alden. He's really turned our athletics around. -

Iowa State could be a bowl eligible team and I think Kstate should've been better. Nebraska is losing all of their recruits with the callahan debacle. -

24th in the nation this year with blaine gabbert and a four star TE. Nicely enough we have most of our star players being juniors, we are just losing T-Rucker, Pig Brown, and Zo Williams and will franklin, 4 great players, no doubt, but so many have stepped up. Maclin is a RS-frosh, TTemple might get a med. redshirt and be able to play, Chase Coffman/Daniel-both juniors. -

Daft Punk Alive really vindicates Human After All songs, and hopefully the popularity of that live mix will lead Daft Punk back to a sound more like Discovery

I do, I'd like to win another WS as much as the next guy, but I'd also like to see a guy like Miggy Cabrera in sox cloth for quite a long time.
