  4. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 09:43 PM) My cats have killed a few mice but mostly they just kill inanimate objects. Mostly small toys from the kids rooms. They'll bat it around for awhile then sit and meow until somebody goes in and tells them what a good job they did... i've never had an outdoor cat, or apparantly "i've never had a killing machine"
  5. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 10:38 PM) Well, I suppose that The Times They Are A Changing, now where Have I heard that before? Sounds like it would make a good title for a song. you'd think you'd pick a hall and oates song title the way you've been leanin recently
  6. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 03:23 PM) That's Ok. Phish are now my new, newest favourite band. I just got "Billy Breathed", Great sunny weather (yes we are having some) car music. why deploderer? We were doing so good talking about joy division.

  10. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 03:20 AM) I hear ya, most new music just sounds like bands trying to 'outweird' each other. Every once in a while I tune back in and get caught up and find myself being dissapointed or even shocked at what is considered 'good'. whitehouse
  11. kyyle, if you want man, i could always make you some compilations of stuff and bands you like i can use upload sites like yousendit and others to get the full albums to you
  12. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 12:45 AM) I think I have been trapped in a transitional phase of music in my life. I really like classic rock, I have put Zeppelin, T Rex, The Cars, ELO, Dylan, Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Eric Clapton, Jethro tull, Peter Gabriel, and Pink floyd on my Ipod recently, and i also have my wide array of 90's-2000's rock/rap/jazz on my ipod as well. But nothing new strikes me anymore. I think the radio stations of Chicago have totally deprogrammed me and are forcing me to think outside of the box for new music, but I dont have the time(or the inclination) to research music I would like, so I have stuck to what I really really like(Failure, Brand New, 311, Blinker the Star, etc.) instead of seeking out new music. Its a really strange phase for me, I used to be "that guy" at our college parties who would break out anything and everything you never knew about and blast it. sounds like your just getting older to me. new music sucks anyways.
  13. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 17, 2006 -> 11:13 PM) Why is that in green? Its true. its probably in green because he doesn't want people to think its associated with him.
  14. jeeze, way to poop on deploderer like that .
  15. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Jul 17, 2006 -> 08:55 PM) just me then. no no... i'm sure you'd be hard pressed to find a person who doesn't like no way out
  16. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 17, 2006 -> 08:31 PM) Perhaps if you read the 2 page thread, you'd see that multiple people pointed out differences (myself included) - and at least one person dismissed it in its entirety. Also, if you read my post, you might see that there are indeed some significant parallels, to go along with those important differences. no no no, I am not gonna read on my day off, bro, not gonna happen. From this point on i will not read a thing. Good day soxtalk
  17. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jul 17, 2006 -> 07:43 PM) I'm not sure if this applies in Colorado, but in many places you can challenge the accuracy of a portable breathalizer and request to be taken down to the station to blow into the more accurate instrument. Since it usually takes 10-30 minutes to get to your town's police station plus at least a few minutes of paperwork and allowing the instrument to warm up/calibrate, there's a good chance that your alcohol level will go down over that time. If Pete had done that, there's a very good chance that his BAC could've fallen 0.009 points by that time. EDIT: Oops, didn't know about his BAC going up the second time. Yikes. You can find better cheap beer than Coors. Yuck... of course we can.
  18. i haven't read the thread...but i'm just hoping someone else took the time to show why this is a poor comparison.
  19. QUOTE(BoKnows @ Jul 17, 2006 -> 07:28 PM) if you got pitchfork, make sure you check out Os Mutantes. they're - a few members but i think it should still be pretty cool. I'm a pretty big tropicalia fan. Into got blue cheer and rory erickson so p4k got os mutantes. pitchfork seemed like they were competing with vice with their lineups. I think pitchfork won, but also they are severely suffering from a lack of diversity...few hip hop/electronic acts on the big stage, you can only take so much indie rock.
  20. Chan's drunken breakdowns > peaches stage antics... i said it... last years dj's stages kind of sucked...like the guys from dungen. But diplo kind of saved it for me.
