I also wonder if this is just Bruce getting used by wisdoms agent since he’d certainly know Bruce is dumb.

It's still a good thing, but also totally a "boy these US free agents are expensive, maybe lets kick the tires on the NPL and KBO retreads"

We were so excited they finally have a scout based in Japan then, as always, horrified at the results.

His name is Andrew Benintendi

Lol

I mean the thing with the Marvin Lewis bengals was he made the playoffs every year just never won. Big difference compared to going to the playoffs twice in 12 years and never winning.

While still skeptical of Poles talent evaluation, it was hard not to appreciate his accomplishments yesterday. The offensive line is one of the best in the league, largely due to the offseason moves of Dalman, Jackson and Thuney. One of the reasons it was easy for me to fly off on Poles when that group started slow (esp Dalman) was that despite it being commonly said that it takes oline and offense time to gel, as a bears fan it’s been pretty rare to see our groups improve in season. They are either good right away and slowly atrophy, or bad and stay bad. The bears across almost every major position group have been improving, as people who watch functioning organizations say is possible. Quite a sight. the one area that will still paint as disappointing is DLine, which is way too expensive to be this mid. But even they played great vs the run yesterday.

That’s funny I thought herbstreit was pretty kind to Caleb despite it being one of his rougher games. He was often pointing out the WR slips causing throws to look off. Biggs 10 thoughts are so epic. With the athletic giving up on covering sports, he’s really taken the lead of must read bears reporters: https://www.chicagotribune.com/2025/11/29/chicago-bears-brad-biggs-10-thoughts-week-13/

They seemed like they hated each other last year then won the Super Bowl. But feels like it’s really prying apart now. Not sure where they’ll find an OC though. Though sheesh maybe they try to pry Declan Doyle with playcalling

Just an unbelievable game by the defense. Did not notice any of the obvious issues with the LBs this week. Meanwhile, man that full secondary with CGJ AND what wright has become is havoc wreaking

That felt so so good.

I kinda think it would have been worse had we had a Japanese scout the last 15 years.

We really need TJ Edward’s back or they’ll do same misdirection stuff Pitt did all day. but yeah it’s a bad bad matchup, will be nice to get Gordon back though. I do think we may be able to run on them, Dallas had some nice runs today. Run the ball and throw to Loveland.

Vargas is crushed by his defensive ability pushing his bat down, but he is a baseball player. I’d hate to give him up for what he’s worth, which is little. I don’t feel like he’s blocking anything for at least another year.

Non tendering Tauchmann makes sense. Superfluous with Tucker.

When Kyler Gordon gets back, I wonder if they move him to the outside and leave CJGJ at nickel.

I know one score games are flukey, but when you are really bad at them it's not. Want to give some flowers to Johnson, who has gotten us to end of games and halfs with full timeouts and aware of time optimization. Even the Vikings game, they knew the right thing to do, almost did it perfect, yet our peg legged kicker couldn't execute.

feels like a lot of teams are like the bears right now. Our offense is improving, our defense is going to be struggling until Kyler/Edwards get back. Offensively it is nice to still feel like we can get more from Colston/Luther, but defensively it is pretty disappointing that the players we paid this offseason are all injured and seem constantly injured. Feels like Kyler tops out at 6 games a year, so frustrating.

He was my "guy i'd sign if Ishbia gave us a bunch of money".

twitter feed is just 35 tweets straight of dabolls head.

No idea if it will work out, but not a big fan of the names. what is it boveee? BOfa? that'll be fun.

I agree, surprised how big of an impact he's having defensively now. I am struggling to watch games and catching some erh intermittent feeds, but was happy to see the second half last night. What a crazy game to not lead until 3 seconds left.

I love robert.

I agree about the 'bad win' thing. The Bengals had so many moments that just went their way, from the kick, to the graze of a thumb on edmunds on the pick six that instead had us backed up inside the ten, to the extremely close call on whether flacco fumbled which was another near TD. The bears had a 2 TD lead with minutes left, and in most days a 7 point win on the road is good, but even better imo when you basically gave them a 7 point lead to start the game.

Ok I do need to also give flowers for Wright, he seems to be trending to elite. I love watching his run blocking every week. He absolutely plows players, it is so rad. We love our offensive lineman in chicago, my apologies to Darnell.
