Rebuilding teams won’t trade major league players for young prospects? What? What did the Padres just trade for Yu Darvish? Gladney was a 16th round pick. If we traded him for a major league player two years later that would be incredible and show the value of younger prospects with control and upside.

In other words, if Sox had our starters struggling offensively but not injured, I imagine Eaton may be safe pending trade upgrade. But when they are all out via injury and he’s hobbling and unproductive it’s not worth having a guy that needs to sit every 3 games.

Same, but I think a big part of this is Sox not having room for a guy working through chain link injuries. Brian Goodwin had health, which clearly is now the premium.

BA had Wicks and Pacheco which would be amazing.

Just a huge win. This stretch has tried me, I admire the friggen hell out of these guys but I want to see the team I expected. Them you get to see Billy Hamilton do that, and Rodon do that, and Hendriks do that… and I have to remember this scarecrow of a team as is is somehow a top 5 team in my lifetime

I may be double counting but I believe Tatis has 13 Ks in 16 PAs, which would be better if he was a pitcher.
