  1. I mean you should plan on all these high schoolers to have TJS
  2. There is still plenty of time for this to be ok. Fortunately we banked a great first half. If Eaton is strong in second half it’s gravy.
  3. Woof night. Luis Mieses 3/3 with a dong at least
  4. I mean no, because I lived through the last year where a pandemic ravaged the world and am aware of how vaccines work.
  5. He looked pretty terrible vs big league hitters in ST
  6. I find providing cost on mid tier guys on trades hard but I feel like sheets is similar to Ryan Cordell who better Soria. I think he should be able to get us a good RHP reliever but yea a .5-1.5 year guy. Hard to look for those guys honestly. Weird year so far. I sorta like that Colorado set up guy.
  7. I don’t think showcases are the point of the Sox anymore. I expect Sheets will be dealt for a reliever.
  8. I agree. I don’t understand the people that act like soldier field is “in the city”. He experience between the baseball stadiums and United center…and soldier field is vast. And honestly that’s fine. Football being 8 weekends a month make it a day event that’s not integrated into our daily lives like going to a game post work and grabbing a beer before. But everything with soldier field is half measure. It’s in the city, but it’s not a city stadium. It’s got great park space around it, but you can’t use it for tailgating. It has a nice interior, but a hideous exterior. It’s crowdflow is also horrendous. It has picturesque views…but only if you are in a helicopter. Just go full bore. That stadium is a fine exhibition stadium and concert venue. Horrendous football experience.
  9. Forbes double. Dirty Dedes double
  10. Also we've turned a bunch of DH/3rd baseman to corner outfielders next season, not sure I'm worried about Escobar out there.
  11. I think it is more that Sox fans watch the sox and don’t realize how shit the league is offensively this year.
  12. Seriously I can’t stop smiling about it. A few weeks ago we had a nice run against some central teams feeling great we had maybe figured out how to make this work with Billy Hamilton and Jake Lamb filling the gaps. Then Hamilton and Madrigal go down and we have a stretch of great AL east teams where we figured out how to make it work with Leury Garcia and Brian Goodwin. Like what? Credit to the pitchers, but the depth has kept us rolling.
  13. Kanny has really started to pull it around. 3 hits for Jose Rodriguez, and a great game for Gladney.
  14. This was an incredible series win.
  15. Well now we know had we just given the knights some pitching we could have gotten them a championship.
  16. there's a fun discussion we should have on how the "smart teams" like the brewers have started to shift away from the "smrt baseball twitter" preference of throwing best pitcher at high leverage situation and toward ensuring closing higher certainty winning outcomes that mimic a lot more traditional bullpen roles of closer, etc.
  17. I'm here too. I don't care if it's petty, I am incredibly annoyed how little mlb twitter has paid attention to the sox, and quite honestly Rays are right there. They've ignored both.
  18. unreal we got 7 runs from this lineup. Just crazy.
