  1. The Right Field Goose sponsored by Todd Ankin
  2. buy one online then call in and cancel it.
  3. What you are seeing is the jerry reinsdorf org special. Any action or criticism against them is just proof they were right. Stroman publicly criticizing their failhire? That’s just proof their scouting was correct. This owner and reactive scout contingent have a case of the oughtas. Players oughta just do what they are told and stfo and let me and control them and be happy about it.
  4. Probably because the departments of the org that would normally plan for this were not the ones included in the hiring process. If I was them, I'd want to let the owner clean up his mess too.
  5. Last time he was responding to "likes" of critical tweets. This is...much more explicit.
  6. JR is going to go on a rampage rallying owners to write into the next CBA that players need to be more respectful to his septuagenarian friends.
  7. Michael reinsdorf now has shown the best hiring process of any org in chicago since the ...cubs I guess
  8. Doesn't seem like he likes the hire!
  9. Gonna throw this out there: gonna be hard to sign stroman.
  10. Worse than that, the book is out on this stuff... wait it out, eventually people will tire more of the complainers than the people in the wrong refusing to take responsibility.
  11. Possible that covid delayed a lot of this.
  12. Tony didn't want to get back into the real managing role, getting to know players, building relationships and earning trust. He wanted to show up for a playoff game and show the "analytics guys" that he knew better. Just cut your losses now guys.
  13. just a notice. Sometimes people get cranky when people post other team news in here before they realize that's supposed to happen at this point.
  14. I misunderstood your story on who you were engaging with. Makes more sense now, but doesn't change that I think you'll be okay in the end. Good luck, I hope you have a quick turn around on results.
  15. Yeah, I haven't scoured all of the reports but now I'm starting to think all the sox did was confirm it, but we don't know a timeline. Hard for me to believe, as someone said, that it could not be known. No way he doesn't get a background check, I assume the process is outsourced regardless, so it's not like it's just a handshake thing.
  16. If I got one of the thirty greatest jobs in the world, would I resign because my owner hired his old hall of fame pal who just got convicted of a DUI. The answer is no. I would ride that horse to the sunset.
  17. I'm still wondering if it's a "they" or a "he"
  18. We need to show TLR's new account what Twitter is all about.
  19. sigh. The reality is if it becomes a reality that I can go to sox games this year I'm buying the biggest ticket package I can afford because it means I get to hang out with sox fans and watch Tim Anderson. JR, LaRussa, they are going through an excruciating, pointless security checkpoint before flying off to vacation. Pointless pain, but, come on I want to watch the sox.
  20. Sox are just trying to take some of the heat off of the tigers. They have just been getting crushed for that Hinch hire. Finally, we can hear about something else than that Hinch hire!
  21. Right. People make mistakes and entitled to forgiveness when they show it. Drunk driving affects a lot of people, myself included, personally, but you know it is done in ignorance not often done in malice. But that's when it happens once. When it happens multiple times, there's something going on there that needs to be figured out. And you can't just blame the people criticising.
