Morosi: White Sox interested in "both Machado and Harper"

It makes no sense for him to come here. -

I love adrian beltre. I also think he would be such a good mentor for TA. -

There is a 39 year old I would love to see on the white sox and it's not nelson cruz -
Hahn says Eloy will spend most, if not all of the season in Chicago

If the cleveland indians could do it signing a washed up catcher out of mexico, a pitcher from the penal league, and a non roster non-invitee starting center fielder, then surely our white sox can. -
Rick Renteria Signs Contract Extension, length unknown
bmags replied to Sleepy Harold's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I don't like watching Renteria manage because he is archaic in the way he manages and nobody seemed to improve. So I am not thrilled we keep playing this game where sub par performances are okay so long as you are liked. -
You know those early bball games can always be a little misleading, defenses get a lot better in conference play and all that. But this isn't the typical "100% turnover" freshman roster of kentucky, and everything was just so easy. They look like they could be an all time college team, but obviously we'll see.

It was certainly the worst luck possible. -

I get that Kopech throws hard, but I think the logic is a little too convenient that they could have planned for his UCL tear better. There was a chance Kopech never had a significant elbow injury. There was a chance he blew it out in 3 years, there was a chance he had a horrible shoulder injury. There was always a decent, I don't know, 45% chance he would have TJS (maybe more), but at some point he needed to build up innings and I don't think you can say pushing him to get to 160 did it. It's just the risk of an arm like that and luck. -
Crap it took me only a few hours to forget that I was on team tank after watching some of Duke.

When it's all over we will look back at these breadcrumbs and say it was obvious sox weren't serious about this or it was obvious sox were just trying to cool public sentiment of them being front runner to avoid bidding against themselves. -
cost i can't say, but bill simmons is saying rozier wants out of boston and boy would it be great to bump cam payne out of my life.

And especially his insanely corrupt administration that has just been looting the public trust for years with rarely any consequences.

I feel bad, but it ended up just being a bad headline for a story that was really two pieces: - sox expect to make a strong pitch in free agency that they think can compete with everyone - That includes rick renteria by the fact that they just signed him -
In terms of adding statehood though, this is traditionally how the US has solved this problem, and it should be noted the US has considered this a problem in the past. Even the capping of house seats now becomes this status quo even though it is fairly arbitrary and the house used to grow with population. Although, obviously the adding of states um, also was a considerable source of conflict.

I don't understand why voting should be defined by something like state of mind. For four to six years, students will be living in madison at least 9 months out of year, often working at a wisconsin business, paying state and local taxes, and having a residence there. If you purchase a summer home in florida with a future intent to live there when you retire, but you still work and live in illinois 9 months out of year, it wouldn't be in doubt where you would be voting. It's unnecessary to single out students as an exception, it's not different than taking a short term contract job. And new hampshire literally just disenfranchised students there over this same thing, so it isn't theoretical.

Which, just as a reminder, is insane to have to say since voters already had voted for the expansion and the governor just said he wouldn't enforce it.

Heyman says White Sox interested in Nelson Cruz
bmags replied to Sleepy Harold's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Really good, but suddenly got amazing last year so seems to be a regression candidate you'd be paying full price for. Was a pretty average pitcher before. -
Why is that shady? That's their residence. I was able to vote in Missouri when I went to school there. The state legislature/state reps very much affect you there.

Yeah and cleveland is so well run. Pretty sure they could tear it down today and their rebuild would arrive faster than ours. -
That was incredibly impressive turnout last night. Madison wisconsin reported to have 94% voter turnout which is crazy. A lot of bills to remove the friction from voting passed as well.
-
Dead people is a much better vote because it allows either an appointment or second special election. THis was voting in the affirmative that a holocaust denier and neo-nazi should be in power. Some amount would have voted yes here out of confusion but 23% is way more than I thought and pretty scary.

*whispers* hey guys I think if we end up getting the number one pick this year we may end up pretty good*

I don’t think this is true. Rainer has an easy playbook to follow on Charlie Baker and other NE governors, he tried to be Scott walker except he had no legislature. He was not a good politician and accomplished nothing.
