Paige and Del Rio will do very well on the Indy's I'm sure. I bet Paige is gone from WWE semi soon but I'm also sure she'll be back in a few years when she matures a little bit. Burned bridges are never burned bridges in WWE.

NLDS: Giants vs. Evil Empire
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Oct 11, 2016 -> 04:50 PM) This game could be a blow out either way or a nail-biter. Thanks man.

NLDS: Dodgers vs. Nationals
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 11, 2016 -> 03:10 PM) the nationals would probably bash urias it's do or die, not saying I don't understand your point but the dodgers should have taken care of business if they wanted to make sure kershaw had full rest. Why would the Nationals bash Urias? And game 5 would be do or die too. You have to put yourself in the best position to win both, not just one. Fully rested Urias and Kershaw > Short rest Kershaw and Hill.

NLDS: Dodgers vs. Nationals
QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 11, 2016 -> 03:06 PM) You're acting like Kershaw is average in Oct....oooooh Has nothing to do with what he's done in October. What gives you a better chance of winning two games: Kershaw on short rest and Hill on short rest or Urias on full rest and Kershaw on full rest? Easy choice.

NLDS: Dodgers vs. Nationals
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 11, 2016 -> 12:59 PM) Kershaw starting on short rest today with the season the line instead of Julio Urias. Really stupid.

Greenberg better make the stupid idiot list next week. Besides that, he can stay off my tv.

NLDS: Giants vs. Evil Empire
Taking any mental aspect out of it, there's just no way I'd want to face the Cueto-Bum combo in game 5.

NLDS: Giants vs. Evil Empire
Staying up late for extra inning playoff baseball was much more fun when it was the White Sox...and I was in college.

NLDS: Giants vs. Evil Empire
QUOTE (Deadpool @ Oct 10, 2016 -> 11:04 PM) We've had our disagreements about Cubs and White Sox issues, but There's no way any self-respecting White Sox fans should support a drug cheat. Arguably one of the best parts of the White Sox is their noted history of being anti-PED usage. In fact, that 2005 team only had one suspected steroid user (Ozuna) lol ok, if you say so...on all of this.

NLDS: Giants vs. Evil Empire
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 10, 2016 -> 10:58 PM) One is a possible HOF, the other a backup catcher. I personally couldn't care less about steroids but it's amazing how Ortiz gets a pass when nobody else does.

Ya, that's complete garbage.

NLDS: Giants vs. Evil Empire
I get to watch tonight's game with two of my best friends who are both die hard Cubs fans in a downtown St. Louis bar. This should be all of the fun.

Damn Kal, I'm so sorry.

NLDS: Giants vs. Evil Empire
This would be the last match up I'd want if I were a Cubs fan. Having to face Cueto-Bum at least 3 times(you know Bum is coming in for relief if need be after game 3) in a very short series is not ideal.

The Anthem
QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 12:42 PM) Well, there are organized protests that get messages out. Some people on here who are blasting me seem to be up for spontaneous protests. If you want yourself or your kid to get arrested and never hold a job again, go ahead and encourage that. Why is kneeling during the anthem an effective protest? Like I said, you are harming a group, the military, that has nothing to do with this. The anthem is their solemn song. If you doubt that, look at them during the anthem. What's wrong with a legal protest. Again, if you do otherwise you may never work again with a big fat blotch on your police record. No employer is gonna give a good job to somebody with a record. I guarantee you at least one person(that's all you said you needed) in the military past or present has read your posts on this topic and has been offended. Way to harm military, Greg.

The Anthem
QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 10:43 PM) Well, I'm OK with organized rallies to protest. Get the permit, tell the police you are doing it kinda protest. Why go after the national anthem when the military is so solemn about the anthem? You seriously don't live in the same world as the rest of us. It's absolutely incredible.

Wild Card Games Thread
QUOTE (Tony @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 09:58 PM) Amazing how Buck is a genius if they win, and a total dolt if they lost right there. Definitely. I think the right play was to use Britton there but you know...baseball.

QUOTE (gatnom @ Oct 1, 2016 -> 08:14 PM) This just in: Illinois fans only fans to ever complain about refs. There's more Illini fans on this board than any other team so it's understandable that you guys complain the most but holy hell it's on another level. Every freakin game, in every freakin sport.

2016 Cubs catch-all thread
QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Sep 30, 2016 -> 11:02 AM) Because of the cold weather? No. As has been said earlier in this thread, Jake has been fairly mediocre as of late and I bet that'll continue in the playoffs. As far as Hendricks, same reason I thought Arrieta might have issues in last year's playoffs: he's no where near as good as he's pitched all season and at some point he's going to regress. Maybe it wont be until next year but with the extra starts in October, I'd bet on him getting hit around a bit in the playoffs. We'll obviously see.
