QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 07:49 PM) I'm telling you, we aren't going to just win automatically. The team will be better then Boston was game 1. At least you'd think so. I hope nobody is just assuming a win tomorrow, you can't assume wins in any game in the playoffs. Just cause pitching matchups are in your favor doesn't mean you're going to win, not even close.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 07:46 PM) Whoever advances will certainly have some adrenaline tomorrow night though coming off the win tonight. No doubt.

This game is going perfectly both teams are going to waste their staffs up it appears.

QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 07:10 PM) Joe Buck just announced that if the Angels advance it will be: Contreras vs Washburn in Game 1 if it is the Yankees it will be: Contreras vs Unit in Game 1 They said Wright on Fox.

QUOTE(Reddy @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 06:48 PM) if he were ready theres no doubt in my mind that he's in right now instead of the rookie santana... Well they say he has strep throat, if he is indeed available he probably wont be able to eat up innings like santana can right now, if Jarrod's available I'm sure he'll be used as a situational lefty today.

Bart has been pulled due to injury, in comes Ervin Santana.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 06:34 PM) Isint it a little early for this? We dont even know who we're playing in the ALCS yet. Not really cause they come out soon, it's not that early at all.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 06:23 PM) I was at a local sports store today, just scoping out some of the White Sox gear, when I noticed that all of the AL Central Champs t-shirts with players names on the backs were on sale for $7.50. I asked why this was, and under infielders they forgot to list JOE CREDE. I don't know if this was universal or if it was just a random batch of shirts, but I felt pretty bad for Joe. They even included Blum! But no Crede! It's universal unfortunately.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 06:17 PM) I'm on the Cardinals email list, and today I entered the drawing for the opportunity to purchase World Series tickets. They're not going to have many available, like 4,000 per game. 4 ticket limit, btw. Hey critic I was just looking at their site, do you have to register to get the tickets on saturday or is registering for the chance to win them?
-
QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 06:08 PM) THere are more seats at Busch but I think they have 4K per game available. Not sure how that compares to our pool at the moment. I guess I could try that, its only 2 hrs from here Thinking about it, I'm definitely going to try, just makes to much sense not to.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 05:35 PM) I am sure it will be. At least we have four games to have chances with as opposed to the NL team. That said, if it is St. Louis they will be willing to travel so I anticipate the number of people wanting them doubles since they are so close. Perhaps even Houston too given the relative proximity and that they haven't been to a WS Hmm..interesting question for you, will you try to get st louis ws tix since we're only a few hours away?? I think I might try to do that and if it's not sox-st louis just sell them.
-
Well..duh.
-
Huge congrats stocking, I can't even imagine doing that. Very, very impressive.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 04:57 PM) I see that the Cardinals are putting their tickets for the World Series up on Saturday morning at 9 am. Was there a limit to the number of tickets you could get for the ALCS? I'm looking to try to get 4-5 for the Big Series..... 4 per game. Getting tix for the alcs was horrible can you imagine what it's going to be like for this?? It's going to be ugly.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 04:48 PM) I like myers but Ryan is the guy to me. I would be ecsatic if we got Wagner but Ryan is great too because he can be either a set-up guy or a closer, he has a power arm, and he can pitch against good offenses in a tough league as he has proven. Hermanson, Jenks, Ryan the new Nasty Boys? Ryans going to cost you and from what I heard it sounds like he wants to stay on the east coast. Myers should be pretty cheapt and is really the perfect lefty for oz to do his situational matchup junk. I'd rather use the money we have on offense as our bullpen will already be damn good next season.

Cool story, to bad it was Laroche who hit that grandslam for atlanta and not francoeur but oh well.

QUOTE(Soxfest @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 04:19 PM) R.Justice of the Houston Chronicle and TK were both whining if the Yankees do not win tonight they should move Angels/White Sox to HSN network because no one will watch. TK cannot accept the fact Red Sox/Yankees will not happen.Justice claims Angels are best team in AL. I laugh at the fact White sox are so disrespected on to the World Series Ignore espn. That is all.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) How about Mike Myers? He's much more realistic and he'd be the situational lefty with Cotts being the lefty that can go an inning or two. Not a bad idea at all, in fact I actually love that idea, he'd be the perfect guy for oz's managerial style. Trade Viz and Damaso, the Duke in the pen, add myers, brandon to the rotation and there ya go.

Well I got the hat they got when they clinched the division which is a division series hat for whatever reason. I also got two tshirts and a hoody from the division championship. I'm hoping for much much much much much more gear by the time this season is over.

QUOTE(S720 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 12:27 PM) While we are at it, which 2006 hitting lineup do you prefer? Lineup 1: Pods LF Iguchi 2B Overbay 1B Konerko DH Dye RF Rowand CF AJ C Uribe SS Crede 3B Lineup 2: Pods LF Iguchi 2B Dye 1B Manny Ramirez DH/RF Rowand CF AJ C Uribe SS Crede 3B Anderson RF Either is fine with me! Give me lineup number 1. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) molina runs cirlces around Paulie.. Paulie only man in baseball history to strech a triple into a single. Not even close, Molina is the slowest guy I've ever seen in my life.
