  1. You've gotta be f***in kidding me. I don't get fx either, I'm going to f***in kill someone.
  2. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 04:13 PM) Obviously the tone setter tonight. I expect nothing short of dominace from Jose tonight. Tonight worries me with Jose. He's been so dominate as of late and such in a groove I wonder if the extra days off will throw him off a bit. Hopefully not and hopefully he'll do his thing. Lets do this thing, lets take a 1-0 series lead. GO SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 12:41 PM) so i have ANOTHER exam tonight @ 7. i had one last wednesday @ 7 as well. hooray for school hating me. How many times do I have to tell you to quit school.
  4. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 01:48 PM) Dan Patrick says he's not on their roster. It looks like esteban yan is replacing him.
  5. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 01:46 PM) Anyone hear Colon is definitely a no go for the CS.. got an email from a semi-journalist.. not sure of the reliability. I've heard from a few places that it looks like he's a no go but until the angels say so I'm not going to believe it.
  6. QUOTE(bmags @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 12:37 PM) is this paul byrd formerly of royals fame? i won't lie, for as much as i cry about how nobody knows about the sox, i really know s*** about the angels cept for : anderson being in a cold streak this year, chone figgins being a better willie harris, Krod being absent when i saw the angels in june, percival no longer their closer, lackey, colon in rotation, colon now out of rotation, adam kennedy?, and they have VLAD and somewhere along the line benji molina turned into a f***ing good hitter. Chone Figgins is Scott Podsednik.
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 11:19 AM) Would it be that out of the question, or dumb if we traded Cotts insted of Marte, getting alot back for one of the best LHRP in the game, then signing BJ Ryan? While your payroll goes up because of Ryan, you could get alot back for Cotts, correct? A package of El Duque, Cotts and Anderson could bring us a nice bat, no? I would not trade Neal right now, he's to damn good and to damn cheap at this point. As much as Damaso has sucked he'll still have some decent trade value.
  8. QUOTE(Reddy @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 11:54 AM) Basically we're facing: Byrd (5 runs last outing) Gregg (not a starter) Escobar (not a starter) Santana (rookie) Washburn (sick) Lackey how can you NOT like our chances? I like our chances even if the Angels were at full strength, that being said don't count out the angels and anything can happen.
  9. QUOTE(Wedge @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 10:47 AM) OK, this has been pissing me off for a bit. What about 5 1/3 IP 3 ER is an incredible outing? It's definitely not even a quality start. Basically he got off to a very rocky start, walking the world and then he just settled down and really did dominate until jeters homer.
  10. Most importantly about Chris is that he's handled the pitching staff fantastic and that's what you need from a backup catcher. Great job Widge.
  11. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) FYI those of you that bought game 5 of the DS from Ticketmaster refunds (ticket cost + fees - shipping) should be refunded within the next 7 to 10 days. Do they refund it right to your credit card, steff?

    Marte

I agree. I've seen enough of Damaso in key situations but don't boo the guy, I know I still cheered him when he was being introduced for the alds.
  13. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 12:09 AM) Garland starts game 4. Jon's going game 3, Freddy game 4.
  14. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 11:33 PM) Stop talking about marte you f***ing idiot reynolds. Then he goes on to say that cotts came on late in the year?!?!?!? My thoughts as well. These experts are so clueless on our team it's not even funny.
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) Trust me, the Angels aren't gonna be tired from jet lag. Maybe if it were a regular season game, but no team is gonna be tired for a post-season game. Adrenaline is all the energy they need. To be honest maybe when they're arriving to the park or getting ready they might be a little tired but once they touch that field they'll forget everything and be ready to go.
  16. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:16 PM) It will be interesting to see just how much heat slappy takes tommorow and beyond. Yankee fans want him gone. We'll take him.
  17. I'm kind of hoping Bart does pitch. When his back is tender like it is now he likes to feature only his fastball and basically dispatch of his breaking stuff. Either way, I really believe the two best teams in the AL are there and this is going to be a great series tired arms or not for the angels. While they might be tired after this jet lag our guys could easily come out a bit rusty after this time off.
  18. Ok, what's the deal with wednesday's game?? Both the ALCS and NLCS are scheduled for 7.
  19. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) As long as Gammons doesn't pick us, we still have a shot. He did in the alds.
  20. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) minus like 1 game. And that ball that Bonds hit is still going.
  21. QUOTE(Bridgeport Sox @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:25 PM) Kruk picked us in 5 Yes, I posted that in the game thread. Bad, bad news.
  22. Oh yeah, something else. If Bobby faces Vlad this series, no first pitch fastballs.
  23. Uh oh. We just got the kiss of death, Kruk and Reynolds have both picked us.
