I think a lot of it depends on how far we're up in the division, how close we are to clinching. If the division is just about wrapped about I think you'll definitely see Brandon back up here to get a few starts, give the Duke a few starts off to have him ready for the playoffs.

Good deal for both teams imo. Lawton's a great fit for the cubs and a solid player but atleast Pitt got something, if he stays then he walks in the offseason and they get nothing.

If anyone wanted to know, here's Kalapse's view on the deal: So the Sox pulled off a deal for Rob Mackowiak huh. This is awesome. Mack will help in solidifying our bench for the stretch run and the playoffs. I know a lot of people are down on him after seeing some of his recent numbers but I really feel this acquisition will help out the team a lot. A util man like him who can play 8 different positions can be invaluable. Edit out Mackowiak for Blum and that's how he feels.
