Bartman works with my step mom, how crazy is that?

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 09:04 AM) Conversely, I think Crede is drastically underrated on this message board. Agreed. Especially defensively. People now are starting to come around to the fact that he's a great defensive 3rd baseman, he makes so many tough hops seem routine and he does have a lot of range because he's very quick over at 3rd, I don't care what the stats say.

QUOTE(forrestg @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:59 PM) [On pros sports off the fox sports that Mark Redmond, pittsburgh sp might be available before the deadline era of 3.96 Pittsburgh can't come to terms with him Redman=Good NL pitcher, below average AL pitcher.

I might tape this game while I'm watching the sox. I agree with you guys the futures game is the best allstar event by far, very fun to watch.
-
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 04:37 AM) He doesnt make as much errors but Inge covers a lot more ground. Says who?? Range factor isn't the end all be all in deciding who covers more ground. You have to watch the guys play to see who covers more ground not look at stats.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 03:19 AM) I would say Chavez is better In fact if you go look at RF Crede is towards the bottom only players worse than him are A-Rod, Mueller, and Dallas McPherson. Although Crede's ZR is pretty good but thats 2 be expected because he covers less ground... for example Crede is number 2 in ZR and D-Mac is number 1... because those 2 dont have as much range. Brandon Inge suprisingly has very good range and zone ratings. Cred>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Inge Defensively.

QUOTE(hi8is @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 02:32 AM) rowand44: why is that? Because Buehrle always has trouble against Oakland and even though Jon has had a great year I guess I'm still more confident in Freddy then Jon and that's no shot at Garland, none at all. Also, I'll never forget that performance Freddy had at Oakland right after the allstar break last year where he just shut them down completely after we got our asses handed to us the first two games.

QUOTE(rangercal @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 01:16 AM) Lets Go White SOX !! Stand Up to the A's!!!!!!!! Freddy, gotta do your thang. Freddy is the one guy I do like facing Oakland.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 01:17 AM) Holy Christ, I just got home working 12 hours and was completely shut out from the outside world. WTF happened? Box score looks like we all around sucked. Was there one single positive? Our allstar leadoff man. Let me add Gooch too. Basically the two guys who've been one if not the best 1-2 in baseball this year. -
QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) they dont have a chance against philly, AI and webber are going to own Like last year?

QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:54 AM) Let's drop the "Trade Konerko" talk please. As soon as Paulie heats up and starts bashing the ball in clutch situations, which he will, everyone will be cheering for him again. The whole offensive team scked this Oakland series. Frank came through with a big situational hit (SF in the 6th) but no one else could do anything. It's not from this series with Paul and you nailed his biggest problem on the head, he is way to streaky. For a guy that's your cleanup hitter and is supposed to be your rbi guy you can't have that kind of streakyness. I really just don't like seeing him up in a big situation, he's always trying to pull the ball out of the yard and overall he's just not a very clutch player even when he's hot. Not to mention he has no range and if he's on base he isn't going anywhere fast. I've just really had enough of him but you're right Pauly won't be traded this year.

Against Oakland there isn't a pitcher I'd rather have out there then Freddy.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) I guess I'm in a small crowd of people that likes Dunn. Konerko has an .803 OPS, compared to Dunn's .932. The K's don't bother me when you walk as much as he does -- .388 OBP last year, .385 this year. He's 25 years old, and posted a 152 OPS+ last season. That's ridiculously awesome. Looks like he's on the way to doing the same this year. I don't mind the k's, I mind the batting average, I can't stand players that hit for that low of an average that are in the middle of the order but that's just me. I'd love for Ross to be starting everyday or ideally I'd love Jermaine to be able to handle first everyday with Carl in right. I really can't deal with PK anymore but we're stuck with him for this year so hopefully he can get his s*** righted. EDIT: By the way I have nothing against Dunn but I wouldn't want him batting 4th, I'd have no problem with him down in the order.

QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 07:09 PM) What a pathetic letdown tonight. 9 game lead. Probably 8 going into the ASG. The wheels are falling off this team. It'll be nice when you get banned from here as well. -

QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 07:08 PM) Is it worth risking an injury w/ that kinda lead? Hard nosed players are always going to play balls out, that's how it should be. -

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 06:46 PM) They have a good bullpen. They had their chance with the 4 and 5 hitters and couldn't get the run home. Konerko should not be batting clean up. His average with RISP is horrible. They have 2 studs in their bullpen but after that it ain't very good, I wouldn't call it a good bullpen.
