  1. Time to raise some hell scotty.
  2. That a boy scotty, stays right with the curve and knocks it back through the middle.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 06:31 PM) Well, when you have one hit through 5 innings, you better do something different. We're not even coming close to putting together a rally. The rally comes this inning.
  4. Mark pitches around Kielty.
  5. Wow, fantastic play by Mark.
  6. qwerty, I'm directing this at you since you seem to know where to get every stat imaginable?? Wanna look for a stat for how many times teams have been shut out this season?? I'm interested to see where the Sox rank on that because I'd bet it'd be pretty good. If my memory is correct the sox have been shut out twice this season and I know the Cards have been shut out 5 times this season.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 06:17 PM) Rowand44: Just wanted to quickly say that I enjoy our back-and-forth conversation (bickering) during the games. I know we disagree a lot, but we're all Sox fans, so it's in good fun I hope. Disagree a lot??? That's an understatement No, it's cool with me, why else would I be in here, gotta give the optimists point of view.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 06:13 PM) Is that supposed to be a sarcastic comment, making fun of those who use the record statistic as their support for any argument? I just know we have yet to beat a tough pitcher this entire season, and if this team has any hope of a postseason run, they're going to have to become better protect hitters. He's being sarcastic, trust me.
  9. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 06:12 PM) Soon to be 28. :puke What happened to not giving up on them???? I guess that was a lie.
  10. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 06:11 PM) Hey, we are thirty games over .500 no? God, don't start this s*** qwerty.
  11. Yuck. Zito's been getting squeezed a bit on that inside corner this whole game so far and then he throws one way inside and gets the call. That's bad umping.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 06:04 PM) You obviously don't work with Cubs fans, do you? Well not now. But I live in the Northern suburbs so trust me I deal with them all the time. I just could care less about them. It just doesn't matter to me, let them talk, the sox will do their talking on the field.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) I do, I hate those f***ers. Trust me, if they go on to sweep the Marlins this wknd, all you'll hear for the next 3 days in the local media is how much of a genius Dusty/Hendry is because they sent down Patterson, and rejuvenated the team. If you combine that with the Sox getting swept, and the Twins winning the next two games....it definitely won't be the best of times. Again, this is just a scenario I hoped I wouldn't have to see, and I'm not saying the result of any of these games are final. Who cares what the media thinks and who cares about the Cubs. On a sidenote is Eric Byrnes the Aaron Rowand of the west or what?? They play very similar imo.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 05:57 PM) Cubs now lead 4-2, Twins are winning, and Sox are losing. My nightmare weekend scenario is looking way too possible right now. We have 18 more outs, calm down buddy. Also, who gives a s*** about the Cubs.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 05:55 PM) I want NOTHING to do with the Rangers line-up. Especially considering they tee-off against Sox pitchers in Texas on a regular basis. I would like our chances of winning a 4-2 game against the A's. Anyways, there's still a long way to go before we can worry about that. The rangers would be a team that gets shut down in the playoffs, they'd get swept, no doubt in my mind.
  16. Alright another break. Now make it hurt.
  17. Catch a break there. Make it hurt Frank.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 05:50 PM) There's not a doubt in my mind I'd rather play the A's in the playoffs than the Rangers or Angels. The Rangers offense is awesome, and the Angels have a dynamite team with a great bullpen. We didn't see Vlad from them this year or K-Rod, which really helped. We match-up better against the A's....we just have to stop playing like pussies against them. If we'd play the Rangers in the playoffs which won't happen, we'd rock them. Probably a sweep.
  19. Man, everytime we hit a ball hard it's right to someone, those a's have magnets in their gloves or something.
  20. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 05:42 PM) If a guy with six career homers takes them anyonecould be on them Good point.
  21. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 05:43 PM) Which he apparently is incapable of doing...
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 05:40 PM) Would it surprise you? His numbers are really down this year, and this info was relayed to me by the father of a Sox minor leaguer who gave plenty of details about it. To be honest it would surprise me. His numbers may suggest it but his body type does not imo. There is a player or two on the sox I would suspect but not him.
  23. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 05:40 PM) Gotta love widger. Two out walk. LOL. Gotta chirp in for some Widge love.
