  1. Hornswaggle and Zeb are already going to work for Jarrett. Ryback seems like a dude that will go to TNA so maybe he'll end up back in NXTNA eventually. Interested to see where Sandow and Barrett end up for sure. And I'm sure Cameron is done with wrestling because she was indeed the worst 'talent' in the company. f***in awful.
  2. I wonder what the real story is with Sandow. That dude was too talented and too over to get booked the way he did. Got every gimmick he ever had over.
  3. Ya, for real guys, there's a thread for pissing on the Cubs if you want, it's not this one.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ May 5, 2016 -> 09:50 PM) Don't think my good buddy was being serious Of course I was! Or I was just being an ass to you for old times sake.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ May 5, 2016 -> 09:45 PM) No, Eaton too good in RF. doesn't mean CF acquisition should be out of the question if he continues to flop for another 40-50 games. Ok.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 5, 2016 -> 09:42 PM) Bradley looks damn good this series. Must be nice to have an offensive threat at the 9 spot Think we should get rid of AJax, move Eaton back to center and put Avi back in right?
  7. QUOTE (kapzk @ May 5, 2016 -> 09:34 PM) why did he slide foot first Cause we don't want Brett Lawrie to die.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 5, 2016 -> 02:29 PM) There isn't a GM out there who would take Nola over Rodon, even knowing what they know today. Let's not get crazy. Remember, Rodon could easily still be in the minors as one of the top prospects in the game. I'm not sure this is true. I like Rodon a bit better but I still think you overrate his ceiling a great deal. It's pretty fair to compare them side by side and Nola as of right now is a better pitcher. EDIT: And I don't want this post taken the wrong way. I liked Rodon a hell of a lot more coming into the draft and I still would take him over Nola but I'm sure there's more than a few gm's out there that would disagree.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 5, 2016 -> 02:27 PM) Chili, you can't ever wear anything Cub related. That would be too sickening. Accept a Cubs pencil from her or something though. The flowing dark locks may be it though. No offense to the bald(ing) guys on here, but girls will admit they like flowing hair like Chili apparently has. :crying :crying
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 5, 2016 -> 12:47 PM) Sox have there own concerns with Johnons's consistency issues so it doesn't surprise me. I feel the Sox should actually see what Johnson gets as I prefer him to Miguel, but I presume Sox will hand job to one of Turner / Miguel. Miguel is pretty hittable, sure a slight upgrade from 2016 Danks, but I think better odds are on Turner / Johnson actually being solid. Could be wrong though. Last year, Johnson posted an ERA plus of 117 over 35 big league innings. Small sample size but the eyes backed up the results. He also had success in his first stint a couple years back. Problem is somewhere in between he had a season where he was complete trash (stuff non-existent, etc) and this spring while he didn't look that bad, his stuff definitely wasn't near as good. Don't know what the driver is, but I thought I had saw where his stuff popped back down in Charlotte this year so I personally think as long as his stuff is there, he is a no brainer to be a qualify 5th starter (vs. everyone else we are talking about). Sox don't think so and they clearly know more than I do, although I happen to think they are wrong and are just being too gun shy due to other concerns they have on him. This is exactly how I feel. Just give the dude another chance. His stuff for whatever reason was depleted a few years back but he bounced back pretty terrifically last year. I have no idea what he's capable of(I do think he can be a decent enough 5 though) but at least give him the opportunity to prove one way or another what he is. The Sox seem pretty against that though for whatever the reason may be.
  11. QUOTE (GreenSox @ May 4, 2016 -> 06:20 PM) The Sox this year...the big differences are Lawrie and Jackson - fixing the defense and adding some incremental offensive improvement. So you actually, seriously believe Todd Frazier isn't a big difference with this team?
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 4, 2016 -> 06:13 PM) Is first episode today? Yes sir.
  13. And if we want to overreact to Trayce's 50 some on plate appearances this year then the guy still can't hit rhp. I still think he's probably a 4th OF who could possibly start because of his glove but he's nothing to get super upset about. He's nothing special.
  14. QUOTE (hi8is @ May 4, 2016 -> 04:41 PM) In what universe? In a universe where everyone over the age of 25 is complete garbage. The Greensox universe.
  15. So as a guy that doesn't get bothered by much that Enzo thing scared the s*** out of me tonight, especially being there and having no clue what was happening. Hopefully he's all alright. And Sami and KO should actually fight forever.
  16. Ya, I'm actually really looking forward to tonight, should be a fun ppv. My only complaint is I wish they'd get this McMahon bulls*** out of my life and would have had Becky-Emma on the ppv but got to have our McMahon family drama!
  17. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 07:26 PM) Tonight is what happens you allow losers to play like s*** over and over and stick around. The culture of this team changed last night, and by not getting rid of Danks immediately they may never get back what they had. Every spot on the 25 man matters... This is truly one of the worst posts in the history of this site.
  18. I'm not going to pretend to know a lot about Whitehair but he's very highly rated by some people. Seems like a very good pick for the Bears.
  19. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 04:43 PM) Around the league today teams are introducing their first picks and they are giving press conferences. One team is not because of a scandal. On day one they're already dealing with it. Whether or not it's his fault doesn't really matter. The scandal exists. I don't get why it's wrong that a team just wouldn't want to deal with it. It's not wrong necessarily, I just think most of us believe it's absolutely worth the "risk." Just like every other player, if he's a bust then it hurts your organization but if he's as good as a lot of people think then you're getting one hell of a steal at 13(in the Dolphins case) or basically anywhere outside the top 5 this year.
  20. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 04:28 PM) This has to be it. I really don't see the harm in giving Eric Johnson a shot, the guy was once seen as a near certain solid back of the rotation starter with some upside. Even if he's fallen out of favor, they really have nothing to lose, they're just spinning their wheels with him at this point. Ya I just don't get the EJ situation. They obviously don't think much of him but there's absolutely no harm in trotting him out there right now. Same way I felt after we were out of contention last year, see what the hell you got at least, you could be wrong White Sox.
  21. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 03:38 PM) You may have missed the last 24 hour round the clock coverage of him. PR nightmare indeed. Yup for one day. Like I said, I'm sure this will be a big story for a few weeks/months and then once the game starts it'll be fine, it's really not going to be as bad as you guys think. But whatever, I guess we'll see.
  22. I hope I'm wrong but I see this more as his stats evening out for the mean time. No matter what any of us think of him, he's not a .180 hitter. We'll see but I bet soon here we start to see him back to his old ways.
  23. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 03:08 PM) PR nightmare. It's really not. They'll protect him and answer some questions for a few weeks then for the most part it'll go away because the picture and text messages just aren't a big deal for Tunsil.
  24. Ya, I've always had a blast at Sox-Cubs games. They're ridiculous but so am I so it works. Besides that, Nats or Royals are probably the way to go.
  25. QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 02:09 PM) Obviously YOU just wanted to type Barkevious Mingo. This is correct.
