  1. I agree with everyone that says we need to make another splash so we're not stuck in the middle. That said, while I'll be disappointed if we miss on one of the of'ers, I'm not going to be pissed off about the direction of the team cause I don't think we've given up anything we're going to regret in the future.
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 06:56 PM) Yup. Shocked to say Asuka vs Emma was best match. Agreed, I think the tag match was right up there too. Joe-Finn was fun and Bayley is absolutely incredible, the only thing that wasn't overly memorable was Crews-Corbin imo but it's not like it was horrible either.
  3. Would have been all about Puig a few months back but with this domestic violence stuff hanging over his head, no thanks.
  4. Frazier and Lawrie are already tweeting each other, THE WORLD SERIES IS OURS
  5. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 04:29 PM) Are the Bulls in on Santa Claus? I saw that the Rockets are close to signing him. Cmon man, we don't sign that big of stars.
  6. QUOTE (ptatc @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 04:35 PM) I would disagree to the extent that he is the only option. I would throw Adams in there as well. As long as EJ can continue to do his thing we have our top 4 lined up for a good while on team friendly deals. Could always find a 5th starter somewhere though it'd be great if Fulmer or Adams could be that guy.
  7. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 04:25 PM) As in, the Big Hurt? Yup, that Frank!
  8. QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 04:23 PM) Is it bad that I'm already anxiously/impatiently awaiting the Sox next move for hopefully an OF bat? Not at all. I think all of us are doing that at this point.
  9. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 04:21 PM) Him and Kenny go way back..... Ha didn't even think about that ol' thing. Touche sir.
  10. Not sure how plugged in Frank is but he thinks the sox are going to grab Upton.
  11. If you didn't watch Takeover live try to watch it night. Fantastic.
  12. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 02:10 PM) Don't say all Q. Your better than that. Me and Jason liked Trayce alot and we were in the FS biz/threads before quite a few people currently posting in this thread. With that said though, I really like this deal. Ya but you and Gage are irrelevant.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 02:02 PM) Haven't read the thread yet but I will shortly. Well, Hahn is thinking like me and others. With Frazier, the infield changes so much if we re-sign Lexi. It'll be Frazier, Lexi, Lawrie and Abreu. ON PAPER, excellent. Very sad to lose Trayce, Micah and Montas. Once again we overpaid. I realize I got what I wanted (if we re-sign Lexi; ss will be a major weakness if Saladino is there). I did get what I wanted but wow, the overpay! Final comment: I know the Sox are trying now; I realize the lineup is probably worth seeing in person, buying season tickets now (if we re-sign Lexi on the cheap), but it's now up to Frazier to not be the latest NL player to SUCK in a Sox jersey. And if Frazier does suck beyond belief, even though the trade seems reasonable, Hahn should pay with his job. The FO has to get this stuff right and Sox just gave up three TOP prospects for this guy. He MUST not pull a Dunn or pull a LaRoche. He must excel or Hahn must go. Please sign Lexi now for one year and an option. You wanted to trade Rodon for Frazier but this is an overpay? LOLOLOLOL
  14. And for the record I completely understand people having reservations about the deal or not loving it but the "white sox are the white sox so bad deal" stuff is just non sense.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 12:37 PM) Was already planning on that. At least this year when they're below .500 I won't be nearly as annoyed, I just won't care. Well you clearly care or you wouldn't be in this thread making multiple posts trying to make others miserable with you.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 12:35 PM) And exactly what they've been doing for a decade. So instead of complaining just to complain what aspect of the trade don't you like? Is it just the fact that the sox are the sox so f*** this trade? Or are you high on one of/multiple players in the package we gave up?
  17. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 12:24 PM) Mission accomplished. Williams crowded out 3promising young players so Robbie and Coope don't have to deal with them. Williams got more low OBP. Another vet slugger. And we get the same horrendous outfield D as last year. Horrible trade No need to tell us your opinion on the trade, if we didn't trade for 3 guys under 20 that each had 15 years of control left then you weren't going to be happy.
  18. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 12:23 PM) Well well, as long as he doesn't fall off a f***ing cliff, this is an exciting move. Is it just me or are Sox fans just more pessimistic about their team then Cub fans? Why wouldn't we be at this point?
  19. QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 12:21 PM) I wonder if the homerun derby messed up his swing? I suppose it could have cause everyone is different but there's been research done that shows the post home run derby slump is just a myth.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 12:13 PM) I wonder if we hear Hawk say "the strong arm of Lawrie" on every double play No need to wonder, that's a certainty.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:52 AM) Todd Frazier feels like every other guy we get. Low average, low on base skills, destined to come here and fall apart. Hopefully he winds up different. At the very worst if he does fall apart he's still a plus defender which we couldn't say about the others.
  22. QUOTE (aboz56 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:40 AM) Why is everyone sweating Thompson? He played well late last season in meaningless games. Sox sold high. He was a bright spot in an otherwise s***ty season so I think it's natural. That said, I'm 100 percent with you, I enjoyed Trayce but selling high on him is the right move.
  23. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:38 AM) Too bad we couldn't send Avi to the Dodgers instead of Trayce Kenny must still think Avi is a 300/30/100 guy Or the Dodgers liked Trayce better after his cup of coffee in the majors last year. Selling high.
  24. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:31 AM) I actually really like the infield right now with Saladino at SS. I'd think it's more likely Alexei comes back now.
  25. The one thing that does scare me about this is that Frazier seems like the exact guy that will completely fall apart here but it's worth the risk with the package of players we gave up.
