  1. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 12:23 PM) Well well, as long as he doesn't fall off a f***ing cliff, this is an exciting move. Is it just me or are Sox fans just more pessimistic about their team then Cub fans? Why wouldn't we be at this point?
  2. QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 12:21 PM) I wonder if the homerun derby messed up his swing? I suppose it could have cause everyone is different but there's been research done that shows the post home run derby slump is just a myth.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 12:13 PM) I wonder if we hear Hawk say "the strong arm of Lawrie" on every double play No need to wonder, that's a certainty.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:52 AM) Todd Frazier feels like every other guy we get. Low average, low on base skills, destined to come here and fall apart. Hopefully he winds up different. At the very worst if he does fall apart he's still a plus defender which we couldn't say about the others.
  5. QUOTE (aboz56 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:40 AM) Why is everyone sweating Thompson? He played well late last season in meaningless games. Sox sold high. He was a bright spot in an otherwise s***ty season so I think it's natural. That said, I'm 100 percent with you, I enjoyed Trayce but selling high on him is the right move.
  6. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:38 AM) Too bad we couldn't send Avi to the Dodgers instead of Trayce Kenny must still think Avi is a 300/30/100 guy Or the Dodgers liked Trayce better after his cup of coffee in the majors last year. Selling high.
  7. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:31 AM) I actually really like the infield right now with Saladino at SS. I'd think it's more likely Alexei comes back now.
  8. The one thing that does scare me about this is that Frazier seems like the exact guy that will completely fall apart here but it's worth the risk with the package of players we gave up.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:24 AM) To me, it's a great job of selling those 3 guys while they have good value. That's pretty much where I'm at. Hopefully there is more to come now but I don't love any of the 3 guys we gave up so I can deal with this.
  10. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Dec 15, 2015 -> 09:15 PM) WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!?! Australia. Glad I could help!

    Alright begin

    Leonard is struggling big time.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 15, 2015 -> 01:59 PM) It's the Bulls. It would be very difficult for them to realistically make an offer that would outbid any NBA team. Not that they can't, but that they won't. Yup.
  13. Anytime I hear the Bulls connected to a big name like that I just laugh.
  14. Well booked and I do enjoy watching Roman wrestle but I just can't care about this guy. But like I said, they've done their job in finally getting him over but anytime he grabs a mic people are going to turn on him again. But oh well, anything is better than Sheamus and this was the best episode of raw in a while.
  15. I think he should be in the hall but I also no longer care.
  16. I'm going to have to re-watch the closing segment cause everyone did seem to love it. Didn't hit the spot with me but I guess I might still have a bad taste in my mouth from the last month.
  17. 2nd half of a back to back after the first was a double OT game, definitely not shocking.
  18. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Dec 12, 2015 -> 08:11 AM) I honestly believe Theo/Jed are bluffing. Heyward is such a question mark in CF. There is no way they go into the season with Schwarber and Soler as the corner OFs. That D would be bad. I still think Heyward is their RF on opening day and Soler (or Baez) is dealt for a CF. That's what I'm guessing too but who knows. I absolutely love Heyward but I do wonder what a move to cf would do to him.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 11, 2015 -> 05:23 PM) My reaction was not "this looks really good"...I was unimpressed. However, that was also similar to my reaction to the "First class" previews and I loved that one. I think unimpressed is a perfect way to put it.
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 11, 2015 -> 10:29 PM) No Klay and Seth was pretty bad. The dude that plays for the Kings?
  21. Thought this was going to be their first loss. Unbelievable.
  22. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 11, 2015 -> 06:33 PM) See the 2015 Chicago White Sox and 2015 San Diego Padres. Those were two bad teams trying to get better, this is a really good team who has gotten a lot better. They're obviously not guaranteed anything but they're absolutely one of, if not the favorite to win it all going into the season.
  23. So let me ask you guys what do we think the move to cf does to his individual worth in the advanced stats world? So much of his value is tied up into being the best rf on the planet that I'm interested what happens to that if he's just an above average cf?
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 10:52 AM) Except for swinging an invisible bat against Cotts in game 1. Still not sure how he missed those pitches. Cause Neal was throwing an invisible ball all season.
