  1. There's a shock.
  2. Exactly what you said, I was definitely losing faith in Borchard but still rooting for him. I'm a huge joe bo fan and I hope I'm dead, dead wrong on him, I want him to be the stud we all know he can be.
  3. He predicted 3rd, Reynolds said 4th.
  4. Well I'm not going to get back into the bullpen argument we agreed to disagree so I'll leave it at that. The biggest key for me is for the sox to maintain a consistant offense and I think the sox will be right up there with the elite teams in the al.
  5. I'm with anthony and have been on this subject for a while. Koch has done his job this year. He's 7 for 8, who cares about his era, his era went up big time in those two games against baltimore where he let up one and two runs in back to back games but he still closed out the game and did his job. You guys can say what you want about koch but he's done his job this year, period.
  6. I'm also kind of wondering about Jeremy's defense. I know he's supposed to be solid in the outfield but not a true centerfielder. Have any of you seen him play centerfield and if so do you think he'd be able to hold down playing center?
  7. That would be so refreshing to watch on this baseball team. Sometime this year, maybe with in a month or so I think Joe Bo or Reed will get a call up, I think that will mostly depend on if Borchard can keep up his hot streak.
  8. No problem, sorry if I got out of hand there.
  9. Mistreated?? You came on to wsi and said you demanded respect and called wsi the minor leagues of message boards, you got what you deserved. I agree with what steff said your not the best ambassador for this board. Also what do you mean when you say wsi is soxtalk's alter ego. I love soxtalk and I also love wsi, they're both great white sox websites.
  10. I totally disagree about his trade value. Like you said he has enormous potential and is only 25 so teams will most certainly still be interested. I'd like to keep Joe around but if the sox were able to swing a deal to bring in a stud pitcher, I would definitely not be opposed to it.
  11. I would certainly do that deal. I'll keep on saying this offense won't be consistant until either pk or carlos is traded. I'm a huge fan of Gload and would love to see him get some consistant playing time. Gload can hit for power but doesn't over swing alot and goes into left, leftcenter a lot.
  12. No he didn't the Rangers and Mets did.
  13. That would make sense but like you said neither of those two are as good of hitters as Beltran is.
  14. While I'm not ready to give up Borchard, he can definitely be trade bait and I would definitely be in favor of that trade you proposed. Here's the main problem with that proposal though would Reinsdorf be willing to add 6 million dollars of payroll?? I think seattle would have to pick up most of his salary for a deal like that to get done.
  15. I'm just as confused as you. This thread is pretty pointless and like I said I'm still trying to figure out what brando means about the gg thing. Brando that makes no sense at all.
  16. I know, but he said he's a gold glover but not an amazing fielder, I'm trying to figure out what that means.
  17. Interesting, I still say Danny Wright for Pineiro is a fair deal.
  18. I absolutely love Joel but I just don't think seattle would trade him this year.
  19. I disagree with the sox getting steamrolled, they would have really really been tough in the playoffs, loaiza might have been a little gased but bartolo, buehrle and garland were all pitching great. I said I agree the sox should go and look for an ace if possible but it's just not that easy. I'm just saying it's not time to look to the playoffs just yet.
  20. Well Said.
  21. That's a pipedream my friend.
  22. That's fine, but last year I thought if the sox got into the playoffs they would have absolutely been deadly with their rotation but they never got there. The first step is to make it into the playoffs then worry about the rotation. Trust me I would absolutely love to get an ace such as R.J. but that's going to be very hard to do. IF the sox were to make the playoffs I wouldn't mind any of the pitching matchups, our top four starters keep us in every game. While I definitely understand brando's point I'm just saying it's premature to set the playoff rotation.
