Trout extends for $144.5 million, Angels buy out 3 years of FA
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 29, 2014 -> 12:06 PM) He'll be there at 28. I know, the extra 3 years could have made it even more outrageous though.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 29, 2014 -> 11:49 AM) Abreu/Garcia is enough to keep me interested even if the team sucks. Both those guys should be studs. I'm excited for Semien and Davidson to be up here and starting for good as well. I expect them to be a little better than people think(like around the wild card races until the last month of the season) but even if they aren't, there's a lot of young talent to watch and follow this year.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 28, 2014 -> 04:59 PM) I'm hoping they lose out just because I think it would be awesome to see a team have a 36 game losing streak to end a season. They should be inserted into the playoffs if that happens.

I'm more excited for baseball this year than I've been in a while. This is going to be a fun season.

I wanted to see him hit the open market at 25 or 26 or whatever just to see what he would have made. Would have been fun.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Mar 29, 2014 -> 10:26 AM) Cannot believe the ref allowed the game to be decided by a flop (or, if you're biased, a 50-50 call at best) What bulls***. You just don't call that there. Let the players decide the outcome. I didn't see much of the game at all but I did see that play and I'm still not convinced that Morgan was even touched, awful call. That being said, it does sound like there were some questionable calls that went Tennessee's way as well.

I assume Wite is going straight off Kenpom for those numbers and he adjusts based on opponent. I love Kenpom's site but there's a few teams that his formula seems to always be off for and Michigan is one of them.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 27, 2014 -> 07:21 PM) Who was that idiot that said Sobolewski would be a better college player than Kaminsky? Cough, hmpf Sobo was definitely better in hs, Frank has made himself into one heck of a player though.

I think some of you guys are overreacting cause it's Michael Bay(and yes I know he sucks) but I feel you really can't get much out of that trailer, there's not a ton there.

I'm pretty indifferent on the Pacers. Either way everyone here will be rooting for Indy when they face Miami in the playoffs, this I'm sure of.

White Sox vs Cubs 2 PM CST
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Mar 27, 2014 -> 03:08 PM) He seems to have the same problem as Soriano did/does. Can not lay off a slider on the outer 3rd of the plate. That last AB was just sad to watch as Villanueva went to that pitch every time and Avi couldn't help himself. Every young hitter has that problem. And if Felipe Paulino is Jon Garland then that's very good news.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 05:01 PM) "Consensus" is a bit strong. I will say it wasn't laughed at when it happened. As for this draft, they might only get Portland's pick. The Bulls are probably getting their pick, and Detroit's is top-8 protected. The MKG pick was always weird as it seemed to be based on the "winner" label he was given. But most people did have him at number 2 though.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 02:19 PM) I Hope Ambrose can succeed when SHIELD eventually splits, is all. I agree about Harper. He doesn't look like much but all of his singles matches have been solid. I'm worried about Reigns and Ambrose if the Shield were to break up right now. I love the potential of both of them but their weaknesses are beautifully hidden with in the group. And ya, Harper has been terrific since he was able to showcase his ability in the 6 man rage against the Shield. EDIT: Apparently autocorrect didn't like 6 man tag but 6 man rage works too.

ND's first rd game that year was against UW-Milwaukee right? Didn't they miss a layup at the end to win or did I completely make this whole thing up?

The UCLA job just seems depressing, their fan base blows. I've heard people make arguments that the Marquette job is better than the Illinois job, I'm not going to get into that but Shaka is from Wisconsin so maybe that has something to do with it if he does go there.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 05:44 AM) Ambrose is the only one I'm not really a fan of. His promos are good but he is so dull in the ring to me. I know, I know, I shouldve seen him in ROHCZWXtreme Wrestling but in WWE, he doesn't do much for me. I'm glad they Mania card looks strong without Punk. The more he is gone, the more it pisses me off. 6 months left on a deal and he walks and gives up money. Just dumb. That's why they're such a good group though, they mask each other's weaknesses. Ambrose can be the mouth piece, Rollins can do all the heavy lifting in the ring and Reigns can come in and destroy people with his signature moves. They just work perfectly together. The way I understand the Punk situation is he actually did all his dates that were in his contract so that's kind of why he was able to just walk, so he's still probably getting paid for Merch sales. And as much as I want him at mania it seems he inadvertantly saved the card by walking out.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Mar 24, 2014 -> 09:54 PM) That was all sorts of awesome....I'm starting to like Rollins more than Reigns now. Both have huge potential if used correctly. They're just the perfect group. Rollins has definitely been unbelievable as of late.
