Why would Wilson be impacted by RGIII or Kaepernick?
Wilson is a pocket passer who just happens to be fast. To the best of my knowledge, Wilson never ran 1 play of read option in college. On the Seahawks I can not actually recall him ever keeping the ball on read-option action.
You also cant compare RGIII and Wilson to Kapernick because both RGIII and Wilson had insane passing ratings that were college records.
Kaepernick 150.5 senior year, 3k yards, 21 td 7 int. Rushing Yards 1206
Russell Wilson 191.8 (All time NCAA record), 3k yards, 33td 4 int. Rushing Yards 338
RGIII 189.5 (2nd All Time to Wilson), 4k yards, 37 in 6 td. Rushing Yards 700
If you want to compare Kaepernick, the guy you are looking for is, Cam Newton.
Cam Newton 182 senior year, 2800 yards, 30 TD, 7 int. Rushing yards 1473
Wilson kept the ball a little bit more towards the end of the regular season on the read option. Still your point remains, he's a pocket passer(and an accurate one at that) who happens to be athletic as hell. He's the real deal.
