  1. Alright Chris, to be the man, you gotta beat the man...WOOOOO Please don't lose.
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 11, 2012 -> 11:02 PM) It definitely was a bunt situation going by baseball's "book." Go for the tie at home and win on the road. But when the guy can't bunt, usually the book gets ripped apart. Youk can't bunt as evidenced by his never having laid down a sac bunt. I'm tired of this baseball "book." I had people at the game tonight tell me that it was "baseball 101" to bunt with with Youlk in that situation. This "book" might have flew in the 40's but we all have these numbers to tell us how wrong this god damn fake book is. And that's not even counting the fact that we're having god damn Youk bunt. I haven't had much bad to say about Robin this year but there's no way to defend that bunt, an absolute horrid decision and there's no arguing that. That being said Leyland did the same bulls*** bunting earlier when you knew Miggy was going to get walked. Both managers embarrassed themselves tonight.
  3. Lawler in stable condition, fantastic news. As for the show, Punk and Cena just work really well together. Good stuff from both guys in thelast segment.
  4. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 10, 2012 -> 09:37 PM) Was it on tv No. Jerry is breathing on his own right now at least.
  5. I have nothing to contribute about the actual issue at hand but teachers really do b**** more than any other profession.
  6. Stafford wasn't the greatest last year when you actually watched him play but his numbers will be there this season just like they were last year. And Ryan will be good but fantasy wise Stafford will be better. Anywho, my top 3 round picks bailed me out today, thank you Mr. Brees, Andre Johnson and Frank Gore. Shout out to the Texans defense too!

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 10:53 AM) Dan is so incredibly good at big brother its not even funny. They have kept a previous winner in the game this late and have let him guide their decisions? Amazing. He's running this whole game.
  8. Chris Sale vs. Steven Strasburg in game 1 of the 2012 world series would have been fun. In all honestly, I was at game 2 of the WS in 2005 so that's obviously unbeatable. Non white sox game...hmm...I got nothing.
  9. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 07:11 AM) He is the wildcard for me this whole year. I've got Michael Bush starting over him for Sunday sadly.. There are so many wildcards in fantasy this year: AP, Charles, Forte, MJD, Andre Johnson, run dmc just to name a few, absolute studs who are coming off injuries or hold outs.
  10. On my way to Carbondale for the first time in 2 years, hopefully I'll make it back to Chicago...
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 07:45 PM) And yet, San Diego LFs have only put up a .775 ops on the season. Almost as if the .873 OPS guy misses half the year. Ha fantastic!
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 05:55 AM) I popped. Makes total sense and keeps Heyman on TV. Love it. Ya, that was awesome.
  13. I feel as if the Sox have to keep on winning just so Q can keep doing the game threads.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 3, 2012 -> 03:20 PM) So, um, win tonight White Sox I love it when you analyze.
  15. The good news is that Detroit really isn't that good. The bad news is that for some f***in reason we can't beat them. This team has responded all season long when facing adversity so I'm not worried at all what their response will be but I sure as hell am worried about getting swept again next week when we face them. Hopefully the home cooking will help.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 01:12 PM) Here's the numbers for all those guys since the ASB: Cain: 3.21 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, .249 BAA Hamels: 2.58 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, .241 BAA Lee: 2.90 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, .260 BAA Price: 2.02 ERA, .93 WHIP, .202 BAA Peavy: 4.13 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, .282 BAA Sale: 3.98 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, .266 BAA What's Sale's era if you take out his last start? Once again, I get people are always worried about this kid but he's really given no indication of "slowing down" minus his last start.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 12:13 PM) Two Cy Young guys if you look at how dominant Scherzer has been in the 2nd half. Definitely, the stuff and filthiness of 2. We have 1/2 of one now in Sale/Peavy. Yup, that one bad start has down graded Sale from a legit ace. Overreaction central.
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 1, 2012 -> 01:31 PM) Detroit is an underachieving unlikeable team. Unfortunately Sox appear to be tight when they play them and can't beat them head to head. So Detroit is gonna stick around. That 4 game series at the Cell will keep Detroit in it til the bitter end IMO. It's unfortunate that a lot of the Sox good work this season is being nullified in head to head games against just a few teams - Detroit, KC, Balt and Boston. So the fact that we lose to other teams isn't allowing us to run away with the race? Brilliant!
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 03:22 AM) Except for those who think he should be shut down soon or rested and is quickly fading...both guys, but especially Quintana. Sale had one bad game and just dominated the Yankees the start before that. People overreact big time when it comes to Chris.
  20. Good to see Nestor have 2 really good outings in a row.
  21. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 11:04 AM) Rain delay Ah thanks.
  22. No motivation needed, we got the man on the mound we need. 3-2 win, AJ with the big hit of the game.
  23. Err did Snodgress get hurt?
