Sox vs Miami 2013
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 07:35 AM) Even better than booing him, would be absolute silence. That would be the worst punishment of all for Ozzie Guillen. He thrives off of attention. Much like my four year old having a meltdown for no particular reason, bad attention is better than no attention at all. This is actually a great point.

If it's at the cell I'd definitely be there and would get great pleasure in booing that asshole out of the stadium.

QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ Aug 19, 2012 -> 11:13 PM) I feel bad for both Alberto and Sheamus. Two great young workers but they keep cutting both off at the knees. Match was decent enough but the heatless feud will go at least another month since Del Rio clearly had his foot on the ropes. The shoe toss by Ricardo was done perfectly though. Del Rio tipped it right to Sheamus. Because they're both boring as all hell. The only good thing between those two guys is Ricardo. Anyways, I didn't see last nights ppv but it sounds like it was a decent show, so that's good to hear.

September Call-Ups Discussion
Wise is a pretty damn good base runner. He IS your pinch runner once he's back on the bench full time.

Well f*** this s***. Shake this series off and go get the Yankees.

Easily our worst played series of the year. Bad throw by AJ but Konerko has to come down with that.

Post your Top 10 Sox Prospects
Depending on who KW deals(which could be everyone for all I know) I'm thinking the overall system ranking will rise dramatically within the next year or two. The last 2 drafts have been impressive.

8/17 Games
QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 02:55 PM) Chris Sale by a long shot for me. Easily. I obviously liked Beckham but even at his peak prospect status I was never in love with his ceiling.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
Hawk just has more energy when there is someone "new" in the booth. When Stone first started he was the same way, and if Wimpy went back to being full time, Hawk would lose that extra energy within the first month.

We've absolutely crushed some homeruns this series. And Liriano on nastyness mode right now.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 15, 2012 -> 09:55 PM) We found a nice place on craigslist and went to see a few places this past week, settled on one this afternoon and put a deposit down for it. $1150/mth for a 2br, rehabbed and in a nice area of Rogers Park, 2 blocks west of the metra station. I'm happy, it's affordable, nice, and the location is safe and quiet with access to the ragers at other people's apartments. Congrats man. You have to be right around me, we'll have to hit up a bar for a Sox game and a few beers at some point.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 15, 2012 -> 07:46 AM) He used to bore me until I started looking at him a little bit closer. He is kind of a rebel. And he is a good worker, he will put guys over that deserve it, and put on a good show. He didnt think Goldberg deserved his push back in WCW. When he was sent out to get squashed by Goldberg, he no-sold a bunch of Goldbergs power moves, and then to top it off he potatoed goldberg too. I remember watching it thinking to myself "Why isnt this over yet?", and you could see on Goldbergs face, he didnt know either, he expected a 20 second match and a spear. I think Regal was either sent home for a while or fired by WCW shortly after that I know he's a good worker, no argument there, just like I know ADR is a good worker but both guys are just boring to me. And ya, I remember the Goldberg stuff, I think that's a big reason why Regal does have a cult following.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Aug 13, 2012 -> 09:23 PM) There's lots of stuff around Loyola (which could be where Row is in Rogers Park, dunno) that doesn't feel too college-y. Lincoln Square area is nice too, laid back, right on the brown line and 8-10 min from 94. Right around there. And Russ we used some reality website(can't remember what it was) but not craigslist.

QUOTE (Cali @ Aug 13, 2012 -> 11:42 PM) No team in baseball needs a 4-5 game winning streak more than the Sox (well except Detroit, but as previously established f*** Them) I don't understand how that makes any sense.

AJ Pierzynski Deserves Lifetime Sox Contract
QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 13, 2012 -> 10:36 PM) I think so, because the only question with Robin (at least to me) was the question of whether being a color announcer at the Little League World Series would translate into being a big-league manager. He had absolutely no experience at all, aside from playing an easy, reaction position, third base for a long time and hitting at a high level for a long time. There was always the chance he could be a Bevington, a total clown in the dugout. However, he has proven he is no clown, he in fact is as good as any other manager in baseball. Let's face it, most of them make the same decisions over and over. You can second guess his use of certain relievers, but that goes with the territory. In most 3-to-5 run losses you can point to "mishandling" of the bullpen. Since he knows what he's doing, the only way he could get fired is to rub people the wrong way and there's been no evidence of any of that. The fact NO VETERANS on our team have had any hints of trouble with Robin prove he's a players' manager as well. I see him managing 20-25 years on the south side unless he decides it's too much travel and he wants to count his money for a few years and golf. If he does decide to quit at some point, I could see AJP getting the nod. You are so out of touch with sports today.
