    The Pet Thread

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 4, 2012 -> 03:01 PM) My cat is awesome because it gives massages. Dogs don't do that. Oh, and they are soft and cuddly, which dogs are not. They produce far less dander than dogs which feels much better on my hands when petting. You have to actually bathe cats less often (though if you have a long hair cat, you should brush or comb them 1-2 per week). Oh, and you don't have to take them outside to go to the bathroom. Cats are awesome. I love you QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 4, 2012 -> 05:33 PM) I love cats, I like dogs.
  2. More importantly Heads, what the hell is up with Royce?
  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Feb 4, 2012 -> 06:34 PM) Quality of those top 100 wins is different though when it's Kansas/K-State/Texas and UNLV/Colorado/Colorado State. Iowa State also hasn't lost to a team outside the top 25 (at the time) since UNI on November 30, and only two losses all year outside the top 25 (UNI and Drake). Both teams still have time to earn it, though. Well as I said UNLV>KU imo and Texas is clearly better than Colorado who is just garbage. Once again, it depends how you look at CSU who is a decent team. Anywho this is very much a pointless argument at the moment, just thought I'd throw it out there for fun.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 4, 2012 -> 06:30 PM) Yikes, didn't notice how far and how fast Xavier has fallen. The fight killed their season. Still, them and Temple would be the two teams out of the a10 I wouldn't want to face in March if X can fight their way in.
  5. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Feb 4, 2012 -> 06:19 PM) Ehh, yes but no. With out re-looking at their resume's I believe they both have 3 top 100 wins. I personally believe that UNLV is a better team than KU so after that it's just how you feel about Colorado State. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Wyoming belongs in the tourny right now but I believe that Iowa State has a ton more work to do to be a serious tourny team.
  6. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Feb 4, 2012 -> 06:09 PM) Wyoming's wins outside of UNLV are a little sketchy. So are your boys. Very similar resume's right now.
  7. Not to incite a riot but if a team like Iowa State is getting serious consideration for an At Large at the moment then Wyoming has to be given the same after today. Obviously a long way to go but very similar teams at the moment.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 4, 2012 -> 04:14 PM) Take that, Purple Aces If we didn't have that worst coach of all time we could legit make a semi finals run in the MVC tourny, instead we'll lose on some garbage at the end of the game on Thursday night. Anywho, you asked me before if I've heard anything about CLo...it appears that he'll finally be gone after this season. Fingers crossed.
  9. I have to re-watch it again cause I do remember some of the fight scenes being a little over the top but powerbombs do happen every now and than in mma and Rich Franklin was a school teacher before he became a fighter so ya...
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 4, 2012 -> 10:13 AM) As an Illini fan I'm probably not supposed to say this, but Go Mizzou. I hope they beat Kansas by 48. Mizzou winning helps Illinois more than KU winning does. I'd also be pretty shocked if MU doesn't win. And let the record show that I hate Marquette and ND for making me miss UF-Vandy
  11. Shack, y2hh, I understand what you guys are saying but for cutting some belly fat it does work. And my best advice for anyone is to figure out what is best for you. I eat a ton of protein but supplementing my diet with protein shakes has allowed me to add muscle while trimming down body fat. Also, shack your last line is the best motivator of all and has been my primary motivation since I've gone fitness crazy.
  12. And fish obviously. Tuna + a tiny bit of fat free mayo and add some green pepper, celery and onion, delicious tuna salad for dinner, I've become obsessed with that meal.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 09:04 AM) We still haven't gotten to enjoy enough of Rip on the court. He's going to make Boozer a much better player, someone just needs to tell him "no" when he keeps trying to come back early. Rip is so f***ing selfish and I've been saying it all year. His own statements have been that "there was no way I was going to not play in Detroit" - ridiculous, missed next two weeks with setback, and there was no way he was missing that national ABC game against the Heat - ridiculous, will miss a minimum of two more weeks with setback, and I'm guessing longer. We just need the Bulls somewhat healthy come playoff time. That's beyond harsh. He's a competitor just like Derrick, the coaches need to tell him no, nobody with a competitive edge is going to pull themselves out of a game.
  14. QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 09:15 AM) Denmon has been miserably cold the past 3 weeks. I still love him as a SG but he has some confidence issues right now. But flip pressey is the cure for all your PG ills. Ya but if you look at the full body of work he's still one of the best 2's in the country this year because as Fathom said, there ain't much as far as that position goes.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 07:44 AM) I still believe that McDermott is having the best season this year in college basketball. If I had to pick an All-American team right now, I'd go with G-Pierre Jackson G- Wow, the shooting guard position SUCKS as well this year. Harrison Barnes and John Jenkins have underachieved. Since Royce White plays pg sometimes, can I list him as a guard F- McDermott F- Thomas Robinson C- Anthony Davis I said my piece about the pgs earlier so ill leave that one at that. Besides that, I see you're trying to be position dependent but McDermott, Jones and TRob all have to be 1st teamers. And sticking with that theme, if you're going with a pure sg it either has to be John Jenkins(Vandy has underachieved a bit but Jenkins has still been fantastic) or if not him then Marcus Denmon.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 1, 2012 -> 08:22 PM) I'm sure I'll get blasted by the hyperbole police, but I truly think this is the worst level of talent I've ever seen in college basketball. Hell, there's only two players in the power conferences averaging over 20 points, and I doubt many on here could guess who they are (Kevin Jones and T. Stoglin). The UCONN/Gtown game tonight was awful, and there are a handful of potential pros in that game. I'm certainly not going to blast you because I know you know your college hoops but I'm just going to say that I vehemently disagree. Anywho, underrated night of college ball tonight. SMU gets a big win vs Memphis, SDSU barely escapes with a Boise missed 3(poor school) and UNLV continues to be a team that has a legit shot at the ff. Fun stuff. And since Heads likes to point out Anthony Booker contributions, Doug McDermott is insanity.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 1, 2012 -> 08:43 PM) To me, it's cause the point guards in college basketball freaking suck. Jordan Taylor has been underwhelming this year, and two of the top freshman pg coming in (Teague and Kbongo) have been very disappointing. I said it earlier this year, but if I had to draft a pg for my college team, it would be Pierre Jackson. I'm a huge Pierre Jackson fan, not sure he'd be my first choice though. Top 5 for sure though with Scott Machado, Marshall, Dellevedova and Flip. PS Creighton is out of control.
  18. Way to ruin a thread, j4l. I wonder how much college basketball you've ever watched. Nobody in their right mind would say that the college game is more skilled than the NBA game but there are plenty of reasons why people enjoy the college game more than they enjoy the nba game. Also, people need to stop saying that the talent level in college is down every f***in year. There are a few teams this year with elite level talent and if you want to watch good basketball watch some of the mids, this is the deepest class of mids we've had since I've started following college hoops.
  19. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 10:34 PM) Awesome Raw to make up for a lackluster rumble. Kane-Cena continues to be awful and I'm not thrilled that we're getting hhh-taker again but orton-ziggs was real good, punk-bryan was incredible and I'm pumped for the punk-jericho feud.
  20. Punk-Bryan absolute epicness ends with the start of the Punk-Jericho feud. Absolutely fantastic.
  21. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 09:01 PM) Yeah, I don't know. His shot selection has been a little better since getting back from injury, and he's been coming off the bench (which is MUCH better than starting), but this is clearly a fluke. Doesn't mean it isn't awesome, though! 5 boards for Love? Bizarro world for the Wolves though Rubio is still awesome.
  22. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 08:29 PM) Howard >>>>>>> Noah That's what happens when the two teams shoot a combined 35% from the floor. Edit: Holy s***, and a combined 49% from the free throw line. That's some impressive basketball.
