  1. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 16, 2017 -> 07:12 PM) Alec Hansen is good. The curve ball that Josh Nelson tweeted is straight up filthy.
  2. QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Aug 16, 2017 -> 02:20 PM) I agree with you Rowand44. I've only read about it (not watched). Initially, I was very upset that they'd waste the MITB cash in like this, but in the end, it accomplishes a lot of goals: -Makes SD feel like 'must watch' TV -Adds fuel to the Cena feud -Makes Naka's title win at SS feel greater (since no threat of cash in) -Takes the MITB case off of Corbin who simply wasn't ready Although it does beg the question of why give it to Corbin in the first place... so f*** these guys. If anything I'd like them to have the briefcase winners lose their cash ins more often. Adds more suspense, can't have them winning 95 percent of the time or whatever. It's just one gimmick, doesn't need to be a winner all the time.
  3. This doesn't surprise me at all.
  4. I've soured on Corbin a decent amount. He's still decent on the mic but he was more fun with that stuff in nxt. Still pretty green in the ring. Just hasn't improved at all for a little while now. That said, still 8 trillion times better than Jinder. Anywho, I'm cool with the ending last night. Actually adds a bit to the Cena feud and now Nak might actually leave SS with the belt.
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 16, 2017 -> 06:08 AM) That challenge was awesome. Do it every year. Looked like it'd be a fun one to do. Happy Jenna is back.
  6. He quit on us once, he'd do it again.
  7. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 15, 2017 -> 06:23 PM) I cannot for the life of me reconcile the scouting opinion of Lopez -- will struggle to start, is a 3rd starter type -- with the results and actual stuff. I don't want to start a "saber verse scouting" war but in this case the old school scouting worries seem absurd to me. To play devil's advocate here he was hanging a lot of offspeed stuff as the game went on. Does that mean he was wearing down because he's a smaller body type? I guess you can make that argument. I personally think he was over throwing a bit the first few innings for obvious reasons(I highly doubt you'll see him throwing 99 and 100 in a lot of starts) and that might have wore him down a bit. Dude definitely has the stuff to be a real quality major league starter.
  8. His right side swing(at the moment) eerily reminds me of Jose Valentin's. He's also 22 and can obviously improve that a ton. We'll see.
  9. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Aug 15, 2017 -> 02:26 PM) Why is it so hard for some here to understand greg's argument? He is rating the rebuild process entirely by the on field results of the White Sox. It's extremely short sighted and easy to disagree with (as I do), but it's not that hard to understand that he's rating the rebuild a 2 right now because the 2016 White Sox are 45-70. Everyone "understands" greg's argument. Everyone is just saying it makes no sense.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 15, 2017 -> 11:46 AM) Why are you guys so pro front office and pro management? I mean you're the one who thinks Hahn has put together the best team of all time for 2020 already.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 15, 2017 -> 11:16 AM) Taking my kids to see their first baseball game! Hopefully they see a White Sox no-hitter. Have fun!
  12. I always support pushing prospects. I would have been fine with him or Seby going to Bham.

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Aug 14, 2017 -> 09:03 PM) Yea Danish seems more like the guy who the Sox make a pitching coach in Great Falls or something. I was really excited for him when we drafted him but maybe it's just not meant to be. Foulke 2.0 Man that would be awesome.
  14. Rowand44 replied to flavum's topic in FutureSox Board
flavum got his thread in first so I'm going to use this one. Collins has his ops back over .800.
  15. Is there any other thing besides the one rumor connecting Kemp and the Sox?
  16. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Aug 14, 2017 -> 08:01 AM) Do really really need another 25 year old AAAA outfielder to throw in the mix in Kemp? We currently have a ton of those guys in Garcia, Engel, Liriano, Tilsen, Polo, Cordell, Delmonico, Polo, etc. I don't think it's fair to say any of those guys are AAAA players just yet. Could they all be? Absolutely but the idea with some of these lesser trades might be to acquire these type of guys because one of them might actually hit.
  17. To answer the original question in this thread, I still think the most realistic timeline is 2020. That said, I'm not going to be shocked if it happens in 2019 and I'm not going to be shocked if it takes until 2021. The fact that there's so much talent but also so many questions marks just makes it impossible to actually know.
  18. QUOTE (WBWSF @ Aug 14, 2017 -> 08:04 AM) 1) Clippard was just moved to Houston. Another salary dump. The recent trades with KC, Yankees and Tampa Bay were nothing but salary dumps. The team traded Dan Jennings to Tampa bay for absolutely nothing. We now have Bummer as our only lefty in the bullpen. And he can't get anybody out. 2) I read yesterday that the White Sox are contemplating moving Avi Garcia and Abreu this off season. I have no doubt in my mind that both of them will be moved for prospects. More salary dumps. The team now has the worse pitching staff in MLB. Without Avi Garcia and Abreu we will have the worse offense in MLB And the lowest payroll in MLB. Are you even following what's happening?
  19. QUOTE (Real @ Aug 13, 2017 -> 02:27 AM) yeah, the constant word diarrhea I'm forced to read here can do that. How do you think the rest of us feel having to read your awful posts lately...
  20. QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 13, 2017 -> 01:19 AM) I'm starting to think we see Eloy as a September call up next year. The way he is hitting is crazy. If he can come close to this level next year in AA, why not give him a few at-bats at the end of what is likely to be another bad White Sox season? What do we think the ETA on Kopech is? There's no rush, but there's a decent chance he'll be one of the five best starting pitchers in the organization come spring training next year. Kopech is already one of the top 5 pitchers in the organization imo. With both of these guys I think you see what's happening with the organization come June or so next year. I have no problem keeping both of them down in the minors until 2019, I also have no problem getting both of them to the majors sometime mid next year. I know people don't want to rush things but these two guys are timeline changers as far as the rebuild goes.
  21. Since Eloy has been in the organization I think him and Kopech have put up the best numbers of all time ha.
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 12, 2017 -> 07:51 PM) Eloy, good lord Ha touché
  23. Good lord Eloy
  24. Kopech and Eloy are silly good. This is nuts.
