  1. The last few minutes of that game were entertaining as hell. The Ivory Coast had a few great opportunities to win it at the end.
  2. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) It's a perk added into his contract, just like every other sport. Obviously the agent for Burish isn't going to add it into his clients contract, but it made sense to include it for a guy like Toews. You can't have it not count against the cap, otherwise you would see a ton of deals trying to circumvent the cap. If bonuses didn't count against the cap, you could swing a deal with a star player for 800K, but provide simple bonus escalators(Goals, Games played, points) that could bring it up to five or six million, but keep his cap hit at 800K. Ya. For whatever reason, I was under the impression that the bonus he was getting was actually from the NHL and not from the Hawks(have no clue why I thought that), obviously it makes a lot more sense this way now.

Finally started this last night(The Hawks kind of changed my plans last week), arms are definitely sore but nothing too terrible. I'm worried about the plyo tonight though just for the fact I have a softball game tomorrow and it'd be nice to be able to move.
  4. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 08:56 AM) How bout the extra cap hit with Towes winning the Conn Smythe. That blows. This is something I just don't understand, why the heck would winning the Conn Smythe count against the cap? Makes no f***in sense.
  5. Seriously, thank god for Tim Howard, these goalies have been absolutely brutal so far.
  6. I think Heyward, Stras and Ubaldo would be my top 3 at the moment, can't really put an order on those 3 though.
  7. QUOTE (SnB @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 07:18 AM) we need to go. I'm down whenever. I got nothing but free time this summer so let me know.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 11:22 PM) The only thing worse for me besides the Lakers winning the title would be the Cubs winning the World Series. I hate Boston sports for the most part. But Celtics >>> Lakers. Fair enough, guess I just disagree on that QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 11:33 PM) This. It's f***ing sickening to think that POS Rondo might get 2 rings. And he's the biggest reason why I despise this Celtics team so damn much. I don't hate anyone in sports more than Rajon Rondo at the moment.
  9. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:01 PM) Anyone have any more news on this game? I'm on vacation and we are stopping on the way back for this game so if the time gets changed back I'd be able to sleep in a little later. Be prepared to see a new single game strike out record.
  10. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 10:01 PM) They both do and when I look at my Facebook news feed it's hard to tell who's more annoying. I haven't watched a single game this series and I've only looked at box scores at the end. I have zero interest in it. I said earlier it was like watching the Yankees win the World Series... might as well go to the casino and root for the house. I love basketball to much not to watch but I hear ya. It really is like the Yankees-Red Sox alcs's. It's beyond annoying from a media and fan base stand point.
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 08:51 PM) The Celtics deserve a ton of credit. I thought it was over after game 3. The Lakers better come back to win these 2 at home. The Celtics along with the Red Sox have become my most hated franchise in sports. Someone needs to blow up that whole damn city.
  12. I'm shocked they didn't turn 2 there.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:25 PM) Paulie is gonna take him to right center He f***in better, other wise he'll roll over a slider right to the ss.
  14. Alexei is certainly going to k. IBB Rios and dp for Konerko sounds right.
  15. Wow. We better not f*** this up now.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 08:12 PM) I don't think anyone would be surprised...we've been saying we'll be no hit all season. Just imagine what Stras is going to do to us next weekend...
  17. Ya, we're definitely going to get no hit.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:01 PM) Well, at least it looks like the pitching has it back together. That's the good thing. Playing the Cubs certainly helps.
  19. If we do get a hit, it'll be this guy right here.
  20. A walk and a homer in the 9th(or 8th) would be a fun way to end this no hitter and win us the game. Just saying. Obviously that requires Gavin to get his s*** together.
