  1. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 08:32 AM) I found it rather painful. I didn't watch it but I just can't see any way how that show would be good.
  2. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 08:19 AM) That .222 BA, .311 OBP, and .724 OPS this year was pretty shocking. What a huge drop off in production from his previous couple years. So where does he go? Boston, NY, Texas? He definitely seems like a Texas type of move.
  3. Drunk betting=this kid having a mohawk now.
  4. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 06:17 PM) The Mets said they would trade him only if we took back Jose Valentin. Pssh, he's the prize of the deal.
  5. I'll start so everyone can yell at me for taking too many underdogs or something: NL: Rockies over Phils in 3 DBacks over Cubs in 5 Rockies over DBacks in 6 AL: Indians over Yanks in 4 Angels over Bosox in 5 Angels over Indians in 7 World Series: Rockies over Angels in 7
  6. QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 10:00 AM) i apparently like the girliest wines available. I'm ok with that. All you drink is girl drinks. Probably because you're a girl.
  7. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 06:20 AM) But is it more like "Keep Away" with those guys? Maybe they can tell that they don't get the ball because everybody puposely throws away from them? Or are they just wusses? No, our qb tries to throw to everyone, if you're open, he'll throw to you. These guys just don't like the fact that they didn't get the ball every play.
  8. QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Oct 1, 2007 -> 06:06 PM) "Grease the f***ing kicker" As funny as that is(and it's pretty funny) I'm sure a lot of us here have been that crazy after a loss by one of our favorite teams.
  9. So my intramural flag football team has had 2 guys quit because they don't get the ball enough. What a bunch of babies.
  10. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 02:20 AM) I will make fun of you when the Phillies go to the WS. Deal sir.
  11. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 02:13 AM) Explain yourself, Rowand. I think the Philles have as good a chance as any team in the NL. They have the best offense in the NL. They're on an incredible roll right now. Is it pitching? Well, Hamels and Kendrick is a nice 1-2 punch. I'll admit the rest of their rotation doesn't look that great. They've got a good bullpen. I just don't see how you can say they have no shot. First, I'm not sold on Kendrick yet, so that has a lot to do with it. We'll see what happens but I bet he gets hit a bit in the plaoffs. As far as their bullpen, how is it good? It's pretty damn bad if you ask me. It's been better as of late but still, they're not good, they'll get exposed. And I really don't care who was hot and who was not getting into the post season, you can throw all that out the window once the playoffs start, imo.
  12. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 02:10 AM) The Pats WILL NOT go 16-0. But they are without question the best team in the NFL right now. Tom Brady loves me, he keeps winning me fantasy games.
  13. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 02:05 AM) Rowand, why you such a Phillies hater? Oh I love the Phils(ok, I don't' love them, but they're my favorite team in the playoffs), I just don't think they have much chance in the playoffs.
  14. QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 1, 2007 -> 10:22 PM) 72 Dolphins, be afraid, be very afraid! They're ridiculously good, I just can't see any team going 16-0, ever.
  15. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 12:01 AM) And the Phils will sweep the Rockies. I see it the other way.
  16. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Oct 1, 2007 -> 05:51 PM) so, what's up with niu this year? i haven't had a chance to follow them closely and just noticed they'd fallen to 1-4. i know they graduated some talented players, so was this expected? Ya, they just suck.
  17. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Oct 1, 2007 -> 03:59 PM) Just make sure it doesnt rain hard during the game. We had satellite at my dorm for my first 2 years here, it was the worst thing ever. Couldn't f***in stand it. Anytime it rained, we were f***ed.
  18. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Oct 1, 2007 -> 04:41 PM) Just some interesting numbers. In 2007, the White Sox: were outscored 839-693, a 146-run differential, the largest for the team since 1976 struck out a club-record 1,149 times had a team batting average of .246 which was its lowest since batting .244 in 1988 did not have a player hit at least .280 for the first time since 1988 did not have a 100-RBI man in its lineup for the first time since 1990 had a .444 winning percentage which was the lowest since 1989 Successful season.
  19. That's KW trying to up his value right there, guarantee that.
  20. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 09:40 PM) The most valuable thing I own is probably the autographed Michael Jordan gold wilson basketball. There's a funny story behind this one... I haven't stole this from you yet?
  21. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 11:34 PM) They are the 3rd best team Illinois plays in the league, besides Ohio State and Michigan. The exposition of the fraud that is Wisconsin (the level of luck they've had so far is incredible) begins on Saturday. As for part 2 of that....if Colorado can beat OU and Auburn can win at Florida, I think yes an undefeated Kentucky that beat Louisville when it was #9 and won at Arkansas, plus has the Heisman leader, deserves a better ranking. What's with you and always thinking close games are "luck?"'

  23. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 05:16 PM) Batting C Starting Pitching B- Bullpen F..... (Jenks) B+ KW F-.....(Totally handcuffed team with terrible move after move. Talks a big game ONLY) OG D+.. (Still cannot manage a bullpen very well and tirades have pretty much run there course) Fans Support A+..( Great job in showing up again. DO NOT want to hear any financial restraint issues by JR or KW) How does the offense get a C?
