  1. Pods has absolutely no shot here.
  2. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 02:05 PM) Yep, his pitch count must be a bit high, but he should have a couple less hits and probably 1-2 more k's (based on some shady calls by the umps). But he's pitched over the defenses mistakes and the umps calls and had a great game through 5. I want to see him get through at least 6 though. 84 pitches. So he should have at least another inning in him.
  3. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 01:59 PM) Who in the f*** is on the mound? This cannot be our Gavin. Confident Gavin instead of scared Gavin.
  4. The youngins have definitely added some energy to this team.
  5. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 01:47 PM) I'd really like Danny in the 2 hole instead of Josh. Not yet. No need to put added pressure on him now.
  6. Lets get some movement going here.
  7. Gavin is showing some f***in poise today.
  8. Pretty simple here, he's getting that nasty breaking ball over and because of it he's able to throw his heater by guys.
  9. QUOTE(vandy125 @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 01:26 PM) The one Casey turned into? The curve that Polanco poked. Wow Gavin...
  10. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 01:13 PM) 3 bagger for Richar. He runs like a girl. Haha.
  11. Seems like Floyd has two different curves. One that's just a big breaker and one that's more like a slurve. Good inning again, hopefully he's gaining some confidence.
  12. Josh having an interesting day.
  13. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 12:51 PM) He's got a good sinker going right now, but so far I've only seen two pitches from him (as a starter). If these next few starts don't go well, I really hope they try and convert him to a reliever full-time. Tell him to let loose with his fastball a bit and put some more 'bite' on his curve because he's only going to be out there for an inning. His fastball definitely has some good movement right now. He did feature a change or two in his last start. He's obviously not real comfortable with that pitch but maybe it could just be a "show me" pitch.
  14. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 12:51 PM) I have to laugh at the posters that say Gavin has "zero stuff" He needs to learn how to be a "pitcher", but the stuff is there. Ya, there's no doubt about that.
  15. That was quite the impressive inning. Keep it up, Gavin.
  16. Gavin really does have a nice breaking ball, he needs to find consistancy with it though.
