  1. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 07:38 PM) Because USC and Michigan were so close point wise when USC beat Notre Dame. I have ALWAYS believed that who you lose to should matter just as much as to who you beat. Michigan started so low in the rankings this year, that I understand why USC was still around even with the loss to Oregon State. I don't like the fact that in two weeks, Florida gained so much ground on a team that didn't get to play. It's just how I feel. Buckeyes win big. Nice quote in your sig, lol. I like how the two Brian's are ganging up on me in this thread.
  2. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 07:33 PM) Where's the Tigers playoffs thread? Eh, I honestly believed the Tigers were going to win the World Series, and I told people that a few weeks before the season even ended(ask snb).
  3. QUOTE(Felix @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 07:31 PM) I'm picking against every team thats favored. Hell, I gotta be right at least once Don't mind Krush, he's just mad at me cause I won his March Madness pool this year.
  4. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) You always try to call every upset ever. Won't happen this time. This is going to happen. And what upsets are you talking about? I do go with a lot of upsets in my bracket every year during March Madness, but everything I call at least is usually semi close, guess everyone hates me now cause I'm making an unpopular pick.
  5. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 07:18 PM) I would of accepted USC over Michigan even with the loss to Oregon State, but won't accept Florida. Why? Florida has the number 1 strength of schedule in college football and won the best conference in football while only losing one game. I have no clue why you oppose Florida so much more than you would USC.
  6. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 07:07 PM) I'm gonna start calling you out. YOu keep getting these out on a limb gut feelings, they never happen, and nobody mentions them. I got my eye on you, sir. LOL, like what? Cause I said once in the college basketball thread that I thought Depaul was going to beat Kentucky? Ohio State turned me off a lot during their game against Michigan. Florida will win that game, just watch.
  7. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 07:04 PM) OSU will kill Florida and than the BCS and the voters will realize that they did not get the 2 best teams in the title game. I would of accepted USC getting the shot over Michigan, but not Florida. Florida is going to win that game.
  8. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 04:01 PM) When was the last time a ranked 1 college football team played a rank 2 college football team in the regular season? Other then Michigan / Ohio state this year. Thanks Ohio State vs. Texas earlier in the season.
  9. So...Reggie Bush Miami up 7-3 so far, a win and we pul within a game of the playoffs.
  10. You're trying to set this team up for the future yet you're trading Brandon and Jon? The two starters who are under contract for the longest. I'm confused. EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't read it all the way through. Still, trading Brandon to make us better for the future, doesn't. And as already been mentioned, supposedly the Angels turned down the Freddy/Crede for Santana/Figgins.
  11. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 12:11 AM) Didn't ND State Beat Wisconsin last year? Yes.
  12. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 2, 2006 -> 11:31 PM) Just want to throw this out there: I'd only be in favor of a 4 team playoff if a playoff ever arises in the future. Any more and college football will lose all its excitement. So here's your matchups for the 4 team playoff: Michigan vs Florida OSU vs ?????????????? I realize trying to decide the #4 team isn't as quite as important as deciding the #2 team, but my point is that every year you'd more than likely have some problems/debates. Whether the system is perfect or not (well it's not perfect), one thing is for sure: from week to week, college football is exciting as all hell. You never know what's going to happen, and losses are huge. I mean, if there was an 8 or 16 team playoff, that UCLA win would have meant relatively nothing. USC's in the playoffs anyway. How cool was it to watch that upset today? I don't know what the solution is, but at least the sport is compelling. It's exciting and no one is going to argue that but I want to see an actual champion, some team earn it on the field. If we see OSU-Mich and Mich wins we might be looking at a split national championship again and that's just ridiculous.
  13. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 2, 2006 -> 10:41 PM) This guy doing Michael Richards on SNL sounds just like him. Why the heck are you watching SNL? I didn't know people still watched that.
  14. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 2, 2006 -> 10:29 PM) I'm over tired, I apologize.
  15. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Dec 2, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) yeah it was funny when it happened like 3 years ago Well I obviously knew it happened a while ago, but I never saw it. So I saw it and I laughed, so I thought I'd share my laughs. What the hell did I just say?
  16. This is pretty funny, I gotta admit: QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 2, 2006 -> 10:24 PM) If he ends up in the hospital, you won't be laughing Or will I?
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 2, 2006 -> 10:19 PM) Sent him a text. McCarthy for Gaithright and the 3rd baseman the Royals have that was kicking ass last year Crede for Figgins (no Santana in the deal). Hahahahhahaha
  18. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 2, 2006 -> 09:45 PM) Keith text message: "I think we're going down tonight, down 6 with 2:42 to go" Tell him we traded Brandon McCarthy, see what happens.
  19. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 2, 2006 -> 09:04 PM) I have a feeling the locker would hurt his hand more. Touche.
  20. North Dakota State up 4 on Marquette at halftime. If ND State some how holds on, I'd hate to be a locker in the Milwaukee area.
  21. Pssh, Florida can't have "Winning Ugly" . This game is confusing.
  22. Shockers choked away a 17 point lead the quickest I've ever seen before, but they end up hanging on to win. Thanks in big part to a missed break away layup by Demetris Nichols with about 21 seconds left.
  23. Shockers trying to pull off one of the biggest choke jobs of all time right now.
