  1. Hit someone Sean.
  2. I say throw Anderson out there for a batter, he'll stick up for AJ.
  3. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:44 PM) This is why the system of administering warnings need to be changed. It shouldn't be based upon a rule, but an umpire looking at the entire situation. Is there history between a pitcher and a hitter? Did the HBP appear intentional? It gives a team free reign to hit a certain player, than when an umpire gives warnings, no retaliation can be given. Ya I agree, we still need to do something though, suspension or not. This team is dead right now and needs something to get the energy back up for future games.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) That was just embarassing. How can you go out like that? At least go down swinging. :headshake Agree, agree, agree. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:42 PM) This better not turn into Minnesota and Tori Hunter 2k3. I was actually just going to post the same thing, exactly the game I thought of.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) Did Hawk really expect there to be no warning given? It's amazing how many times the last few seasons the sox have got warned for doing absoutely jack s***. We're always the ones getting hit and can never do anything about it.
  6. I'm waiting for the day when someone hits aj on purpose and he just gets fed up with this s*** and just kills the guy. I will enjoy that day.
  7. I hope aj accidentally throws his bat at Padilla next.
  8. QUOTE(shoota @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) I'm not impressed with Mackowiak. You wouldn't be impressed with Pujols if he was on the Sox.
  9. The odds of AJP getting hit twice in the same spot and on the first pitch unintentionally are slim and none.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:10 PM) There's plenty of time left in this game. If they wanted to hit AJP again, they could have waited a few innings when he wasn't leading off the inning. And trust me, with a 5-0 lead, Padilla's not going to risk getting tossed and losing out on the chance to get credit for the win. Bulls***. He's hit him in the same spot twice in a row, he's throwing at him, no doubt about it.
  11. QUOTE(Huber14 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 06:48 PM) hey fellow baseball fans, i am a reds fan and my friend is a white sox fan, we will be at the game friday, hopefully it will be a great game. Does anyone know what the white sox's line up will be since Thome is your DH, would they put him at first and maybe move Konerko to another postion? Konerko will play first the first two games of the series for sure with the possibility of Thome playing first on sunday. Paul won't be making any position changes either.
  12. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 06:44 PM) What happened to all the people who always told other Sox fans to root for "our division" when the Twins were in the playoffs? According to their logic, we should be rooting for the Tigers right now. That's a completely different scenario.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 06:36 PM) Just saw that, looked more like an ephus. That's probably what it was but it didn't seem to have as much arch as I remember when he used to throw that pitch. And Aaron still loves being hit by pitches.
  14. El duque just struck out Bobby Abreu with a 56 mph curve ball.
  15. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 05:39 PM) http://www.rotoauthority.com/ Chris Young is also mentioned down in the article. Would anyone be upset if Pods was not brought back next year in favor of Fields in LF? I have no problem with that at all BUT we'd need to find a leadoff hitter to play short then.
  16. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 05:02 PM) The Intercontinental Champion himself will be there for all three games along with a couple other Soxtalkers. Hopefully we won't encounter any 'security' problems along the way... I'm not sure if you're going to survive all 3 games.

Fields is definitely going to give management a tough decision in the near future.
  18. He's horrible.

QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 12:14 PM) There might be something to them having set roles right now. That comfort builds confidence. Cotts - 7th Bmac - 8th Jenks - 9th Gotta agree here. Another thing is Bmac is being used pretty regularly now which wasn't happening before and he was getting hit hard. Now that he's getting regular work, he's pitching much, much better.
  20. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 10:20 AM) I'm prepared for the possibility that Politte is washed up. I'm not scared of that possibility because of the recent outings from BMAC. If the pen just has 3 guys capable of pitching well (Cotts, BMAC, Jenks) then the other 3 guys aren't that relevent. Sure, they might lose a game or two, but the season doesn't hinge those 3 guys in any real sense of importance. Those two guys are the key to the whole season imo.
  21. If the Sox continue to play the way they have the last few games then it doesn't matter who the opponent is.
  22. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 10:07 AM) Getting back Politte at even close to what he was like last year would be just as good as what we could get on the trade market without trading away our farm system for a big named closer type guy. Politte healthy and ready to go would be a huge shot in the arm, for a pen that has quietly looked a lot better since Nelson and Politte left Chicago. I don't know if it will keep or not, but the pen seems to be a whole lot more effective over the short term with Bmac and Montero handling the set up and middle relief work from the right side. I'd be happy if Cliff just got back to his career norms.
  23. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 01:24 AM) So your comparing crashing into a wall making a catch in a key situtation in a baseball game to driving a motorcycle on a highway without a helmet, and only being alive after crashing due to pretty much blind luck?? No, that's not what he's doing at all.
  24. Rowand44 replied to Chisoxfn's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He was good tonight. At least for the rest of the year, I just want him to keep us in games and give us a chance to win. His overall era you can pretty much just throw out the window now as that's most likely going to remain high.
