  1. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 01:14 AM) It probably wouldn't cause the best team in the East is currently at home watching the playoffs.. So true, damn Bulls.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 10:46 PM) I'm with you, I know some of you will laugh at this trade but that's because you're all dumbass meatheads. Think about it, remember the days when Contreras was on the Yankees? He sucked, I mean he was real bad, that Contreras will soon be back no matter what he's doing now. Why not move him now and get something for him before he reverts back to his sucky ways? Steve Kline is a stud, plain and simple, this one time when he was on the Cardinals I saw him strike out 2 batters in 1 innning, how pitchers have you seen do that? With Steve Kline comming out of the pen with his fire and crazy awesome heat (98 MPH fastball) the Sox would be totally unstoppable. Uribe blows ass, plain and simple. I havn't seen him get a single hit all year and the guy strikes out more than Adam Dunn but you never hear about it because the Chicago Media is always putting a positive spin on the Sox and ignoring the fact that Uribe is probably the worst SS in baseball right now. Also, have you seen this guy play defense? He's crazy out there, way too erratic for my taste. Omar Vizquel is easily the best defensive SS in baseball and has a ridiculously high OBP something this team needs desperately. Vizquel's sick combination of contact hitting, power, speed and OBP would put this team over the top while soidifying the defense. A lot of you unintelligent people will probably think this is a bad idea because of your ridiculously pathetic and misguided love for that 60 year old Cuban guy and Juan "teh suck" Uribe but take it from someone who is much much smarter than you are, this trade would gaurantee a return to the World Series and I think we all know there ain't a damn team in the NL who can hang with us. Post of the year. You nailed it.
  3. Couldn't agree more with Dan.
  4. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 10:28 PM) That MUCH?!? Boy this is NOT working! I mean I know we have the 2ns best record in the AL and we are hitting higher and scoring more runs than last year, but obviously this is the problem. So that BOMB to center was hit with a cane, eh? With how far that thing was hit, it must have been hit with an aluminum bat.
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 10:24 PM) The Sox are 7-9 in games that Pablo starts. The Sox are 3-2 in games in which Pablo has a SB. The Sox are 0-4 in games in which Pablo has a BB. So I guess that's not true, he still rocks though.
  6. Pablo=White Sox winner.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:11 PM) I'm not as willing to celebrate this as others are, because Riske is a major injury risk. If he stays healthy, it's gravy, but I'm not so that'll be the case. He seems quite screwed up to me. There is absolutely nothing bad about this trade, I don't understand how you can't be excited.

    QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:09 PM) Offman just confirmed it.
  10. Rowand44 replied to Sox1422's topic in Pale Hose Talk
This is an awesome f***in trade if it is indeed true.
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) I'll be there all 3 days ^^^ Steve, you asked me to remind you to bring our gloves to cinci and since I probably won't remember later on tonight, I'll just stick it in here so one of us is bound to remember.
  12. I was half assed watching the game later on and didn't see the Tracey incident in the dugout. That's horrible that he embarrased him like that though. s***.
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 11:59 PM) Per Greasy, Farmio is full of s***. Tis true, his rookie year was 71 and he didnt play with Oakland till 83, oh ya and Martin wasn't the manager in 83.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 09:40 PM) Do you think people are going to leave A.J. alone if we play beanball and get people suspended? That's exactly what they want, the 2nd guy in always is the one in trouble anyways. Is this somehow going to hurt us in the standings that we aren't throwing beanball? f***ing pathetic, we didn't resort to that bulls*** last year, and we won't do it this year. We won it all last year, and might again this year. None of this "tough guy" bulls*** attitudes that i'm embarassed to see our fans have means anything. Fights and throwing at people doesn't bring anybody closer together, winning games does. (I can't believe I have to explain this basic logic to SOX fans, I thought we were smarter than this, ugh). Ya, explain all that to Ozzie, Hawk(not the best example, I know), Dj, and Melton, all guys who have played the game before. There are times when you must stick up for your teammates imo and we missed.
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 09:38 PM) I'm also coupling this with my belief that he's pretty weak mentally. He wasn't able to handly being a #1 starter or pitch in New York though he did dominate in the nothingness that is Montreal. He's very weak mentally. He often implodes if there is a call he dislikes by umps.
  16. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 09:31 PM) There was an even larger disparity last year. Just win. Winning is the best revenge. I didn't hear anyone complaining about how the HBPs were handled in the Cleveland series. Anyone speaking up now is being a hypocrite. The main reason I'm angry about this is because I'm tired of AJ getting nailed for no reason; he gets punched in the face, escobar decides to throw at him, padilla throws at him twice, it's annoying. Eventually someone needs to step up and make it stop because our guys do seem to get hit intentionally(and that's the key) a lot without responding at all.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 09:25 PM) Am I the only one who thinks Dontrelle "the bird" Willis would get absolutely destroyed in the AL? He'd be good his first time around and then get absolutely torched afterwards.
  18. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 09:19 PM) Shut up! What happened during the Cleveland series? Count the HBPs for and against the White Sox. Everyone, not just Nuke, get your facts straight. It was an isolated incedent. Jeez, you'd think Pudeatya hit your mother the way some of you are reacting. It's baseball, and iunder the current warning system, you have to leave the score to be settled another day. Have a long memory. I'm not sure what the exact bean ball numbers are but I can tell you there has been a lot of f***in times where the sox have got warned for getting hit and nothing else. It gets very frusterating at times.
  19. QUOTE(ChiSoxLifer @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 09:17 PM) Here's the recap of his two innings against the Injuns. 7th inning - B. Broussard walked - B. Broussard to second on wild pitch - B. Broussard to third on wild pitch - R. Belliard walked - T. Hollandsworth popped out to second - A. Boone singled to right, B. Broussard scored, R. Belliard to second - R. Vazquez popped out to first - G. Sizemore flied out to shallow left 8th inning J. Michaels homered to deep left - T. Hafner hit by pitch - V. Martinez flied out to deep center - B. Broussard popped out to shallow left - R. Belliard grounded into fielder's choice, T. Hafner out at second He just can't find the zone. Ozzie has said many times he doesn't care how hard a guy can throw. If he can't find the zone he won't be with the team. Ya, so then he brings him in the game, Tracey doesn't walk a guy and gets his out. Ozzie comes out pissed off at him cause he got an out, makes perfect sense.
  20. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Tracey is gone after this game.
  21. f*** YOU AJ, STOP GETTING HIT
  22. I'm very disappointed in our pitchers right now.
  23. Hopefully Montero roided himself up to hit someone.
  24. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:57 PM) I honestly think Tracey was told to hit the batter, and he didn't. Thus, Ozzie pulls him. Yeup, there's no doubt. I just said the exact same thing to willie.
