Erstad
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 01:45 AM) Darin Erstad's splits over the past 6 seasons. 2001 - .258/.331/.360 2002 - .283/.313/.389 2003 - .252/.309/.333 2004 - .295/.346/.400 2005 - .273/.325/.371 2006 - .238/.279/.350 None of those 6 seasons are higher than his career OPS of .757. The fact is Brady Clark, Ryan Church etc. are much better options than Erstad, who's overpaid, injury prone, and will be very lucky to get a 1/3rd of what he's making now, next season. Ryan Church= this year's Chad Tracy?

RUMOR
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 11:11 PM) I'm not sure why anybody would be surprised, any name I find out is a star and ISN'T cheating would shock me. They are almost ALL cheating assclowns, everybody in baseball and the NFL (although they are avoiding the spotlight....for now). I hope this isn't true, but they are my boys over at deadspin and I would be shocked if this isn't accurate. And as for those who underrate this story, I assume you said Bonds was innocent when Greg Anderson's issues came up. If this story is true, Pujols is an HGH freak, end of story. Way to have an open mind.

RUMOR
Lets just hope the Pujols acquistations are false. Pujols being involved would just kill baseball, absolutely destroy it.

JD isn't really that slow, he's not a speed burner but he's a long strider so it looks like he's moving slower then he really is.

Brady Clark
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 07:07 PM) Lew Ford has a career 106 OPS+ that's better than Brady Clark (100) Torii Hunter (100) and Aaron Rowand (103). Why the hate for Lew? The guy put up a .827 OPS playing semi-fulltime in '04. Just because the guy is a Twin and his smirk makes you want to smack the s*** out of him doesn't mean he sucks. Would you be able to watch a game if Lew Ford was on this team? Would you just close your eyes everytime he came up to bat?

Ab Workouts
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 01:52 PM) I am going to have to disagree. You might be the genetic-genius but I'm sticking to my guns on this one. When bench pressing, it is mainly working one area of your sholders instead of the entire shoulder. This can be harmful to some because it can leave different area's of the shoulder underdeveloped. As a pitcher, this is a problem. Thats why our coach doesn't want pitchers benchpressing. It limits the movement in the shoulder. I've done quite a bit of research on this one. I agree with RockRaines. Bench pressing is an ego excercise. "How much can you bench?" The problem is, you're looking at this as only a pitcher. Benching is a good exercise because you target a ton of muscles. Now, I do agree that benching is an ego exercise and some people think that it is the only important lift which is entirely untrue but it still is a very important lift.

Best route to the Cell
QUOTE(greg775 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 12:37 AM) will they tow you from the church lot if a weeknight service is goin on? They just close the parking lot off on Sundays, if they have something going on there during the week they would just close it off. So no, you don't have to worry about your car getting towed.

Oz, best manager in ball, on Maggs
QUOTE(greg775 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 12:34 AM) Jose too. Why not Freddie? Because he's been very average this year.

Ozzie doesn't want that Venezuelan piece of ****, Maggs needs to worry about his own ****** team.

Bobby Jenks
QUOTE(chaerulez @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 12:15 AM) Jenks throws a regular knuckler? When has he done that? It would be funny to see him follow up a 100 mph fastball with a 50 mph dancing knuckler. He's never actually thrown it in a game but he's fooled around with one before, that is what Kalapse is referring to.

Brady Clark
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 09:49 PM) BA having problems low and away. Sounds a lot like the early 2004 version of Aaron Rowand. It's a problem a lot of young hitters have.
