  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 09:55 PM) I've seen more posts about people rooting for players against the Sox this year, cause they're on their fantasy team, than I saw all of last year. The Cy Young race isn't decided in April. If people really thought that Josh Beckett was going to win it, they're dumber than ESPN. LOL bingo. I never care about individual awards anyways, I think it'd be cool for one of our guys to win one if it comes to it but it's not even something I think about until late in September.
  2. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 09:51 PM) Anything that pushes Buehrle/Contreras forward in the Cy Young race by lowering the stats of others is fine by me. f*** the cy young race when it's at the expense of the al central race.
  3. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 09:45 PM) You have no will power. :banghead
  4. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 09:21 PM) why all the becket hate? I will ALWAYS have a place in my heart for the 2003 marlins and Beckett is definately towards the top of that list. I think a lot of it has to do with him being a pompous jackass but also the fact that him and Schilling are gods in the media right now. I hate Beckett and Schilling and the Sawx as much as anyone but I definitely wish JB could have done this s*** against some other team.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 09:25 PM) He's not going to need the bullpen. He'll go 120 pitches if he has a shutout still. 92 pitches, he's going to need the bullpen.
  6. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 09:18 PM) Easy 1-2-3 I'm not gonna sugarcoat it anymore GET SOME MO'f***IN RUNS You're always one to sugarcoat things.
  7. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) Oh f***. OH f***! 1-2 and he hit 'em. This is not good at all, very very very very very very bad. I might be turning this game off if this keeps up. f***! You are the king of overreacting.
  8. Kobe>Lebron imo. Kobe defends and Kobe doesn't pass every time his team is in a clutch situation, Kobe will take and most of the time make the big shot where as it seems like Lebron is almost afraid to take that shot. I agree that Shaq will never again win a title, I have no clue about Kobe at this point..to hard to predict what his teams will look like.
  9. I was told to start a game thread by a bossy admin so here it is. Hopefully Mark can keep up what he's been doing and the offense continues to kick ass. GO CHAMPS!!!!!
  10. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 01:23 AM) Yeah, they're only a combined 7-0 thus far. Have you looked at their WHIP, ERA, BAA numbers, etc? And by this time next month they'll both probably be on the dl.
  11. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:30 PM) Well looking at Knight's sig, I think Rowand, Greasy, DBAH0 and I were the only ones to pick the Twins finishing ahead of them. Great minds think alike. Ha, I'm just hoping the Twins and Indians stay exactly where they are right now. The Indians at .500 and the Twins under.
  12. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:22 PM) Before the start of the season, the #1 question mark I had on the Tribe was their bullpen. It was always going to be hard for them to replace the output Howry, Rhodes and Riske had for them last season. And they've been lucky Mota's done the job for them so far. But the other guys haven't pulled their weight. And it shows how important a good bullpen is for a winning ballclub. Especially when you have mediocre starting pitching like they do.
  13. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:12 PM) But now for the good news. Aaron Cunningham went 3 for 4 in the leadoff spot with 2 HR's (hitting .317 now). Salvador Sanchez went 3 for 5 with a 2B and a HR (hitting .234 now). Brandon Allen and Carter also homered. No Orlando today. I really like the look of Cunningham right now. He'd have an OPS of around .900, which after making the jump from rookie ball last season, is pretty damn good. He's becoming a very nice prospect, and I think more people are going to start taking notice of him. I like Cunningham a lot.
  14. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:25 PM) why Why do you think?
  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:18 PM) Don't you love it when people talk about the Sox in just the deadest voice: "They can just decide to run away with it. They're scary." From the great John Kruk. He's been slurping us all night.
  16. TRADE CREDE NOW, I CAN'T BELIEVE HE GOT OUT.
  17. Vaz's last start just made me so excited about him. His stuff was just so ridiculously filthy. This guy is going to be JC part two for us.
  18. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) One of the best games I was ever at was when Wash no-hit us for 7, then Frank hit a two run bomb to tie it, then another two run bomb in the ninth to win it. I was there as well. Great game.
  19. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 12:13 PM) Willie Bloomquist beat us. He took advantage of the fact that AJ couldn't throw out Jim Thome stealing second. AJ is bad throwing out runners but most of the blame should be put on the pitchers, AJ usually has 0 chance.
