  1. AL Central update: Royals beating the Indians 3-1 in the bottom of the third.
  2. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 12:54 PM) Your welcome. He doesn't suck at life because he's making a lot of money to play a game. Oh ok, I'm glad you told me that.
  3. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 12:52 PM) Right now, he just sucks at hitting. Hopefully, that will change soon. Thanks for the words of wisdom, jabroni.
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 12:50 PM) So he overruns one ball and suddenly he's not trying out there. If anything he was overamped to start the game, he busted it to the ball and ended up over running it. What exactly is your point? That Brian Anderson sucks at life and should probably be shot.
  5. Quick inning there. Lets get the bats going now.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 01:25 AM) Nah they are actually good prospects... He is talking about making them become crap prospects. Well he did say following our minor league talent. I mean, those two are gone..Willie gets a hold of you and you're traded.
  7. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 12:10 AM)
  8. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 12:29 AM) I think I'm the kiss of death when it comes to following our minor league talent. I'm going to have to give that title to willie who had Chris Young and Gio as his aap's last year.
  9. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 11:42 PM) He was actually given one batter to prove himself in his supposed LOOGY role, and recorded a blown save. That was enough for Ozzie to deem his new role was only to pitch if we were winning or losing by more than three runs. To continue using him in these situations doesn't let him prove much and it's really unecessary for him to be on the team. He should be sent down so he can develop to a point where hopefully he'll be more useful to the team in the future, because we have our choice of other arms to log innings in games that are almost in the books. Ok, so you give him one batter against a top 5 hitter in the american league. 3.2 innings isn't going to cut it, he has some talent and if he throws strikes he'll be fine.
  10. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 10:50 PM) I think Rowand44 said this. It seems like the Twins' offense really hasn't improved much since last season. Yep, that's me and two games isn't going to change my mind. Their pitching staff is much better than Cleveland's and as far as their offense not improving, they've had their 1-2 hitters on the bench this series. Hopefully I'm wrong and hopefully the Twins suck but if there is a team that can beat us in the division I believe it's going to be Minny, not the Tribe.
  11. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) I love the Royals. They now have a win against some other team than the White Sox.
  12. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 09:46 PM) Difference: Podsednik, proven major league player, who has made an all-star team and competed on a team which won the World Series. Logan, really hasn't even done anything worthwile in professional baseball besides log an impressive era in meaningless spring training games. If he wasn't lefthanded, he wouldn't even be in baseball. Well Boone hasn't had the chance to prove himself and won't if you give him 3.2 whole innings to prove himself. The guy has the stuff and the motion to be a successful reliever in this league.
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 10:18 PM) http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=968167 This is a laugher ^^^ :D Boo, didn't see you already posted that when I made my post.
  14. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 10:12 PM) http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=967921 heh I like this part. From Jeckle...
  15. The guy has given up 1 whole run. He couldn't find the strikezone today but this is the first time including spring training that, that has happened. If he can't throw strikes you guys are all right..he's useless but if he can continue to pound the strike zone, then he'll be a fine loogy.

  17. QUOTE(Guillen'sGuy @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) Get the kid some work. Not that big of a deal in my mind. The thing is everyone in the pen needs some work and it might just get worse for the pen as the season goes on(meaning our starters are going to eat up more innings). In this situation it'd be nice to get Matt or Cliff in there. Oh well, when this is the only thing to complain about, life is good.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 07:51 PM) Ok Ozzie...now you can put in Boone. That would be quite the task at this point.
