  1. Pods gone. Still not looking good on the bases. Perfect peg by Mauer though.
  2. That heater had some pop to it. See if he can drop that slider low and away now.
  3. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:08 PM) Curveballs that dont break are called hangers. People do not throw high breaking pitches, high breaking pitches flatten out and become souveniers for the kiddies when they cross the outfield fence. AJ was setting up low and away. There's a difference between a hangar and a high curve ball, that was a hangar though. The Twins are hitting absolute ropes right now.
  4. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:05 PM) The last pitch wasn't a hanger. It was a high curveball. He was trying to throw a high curve. Not one in the dirt. It was a hangar. Whatever though, it's overwith. Just lets go Freddy, get into a groove.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:05 PM) Sadly, I doubt I'm the only one who fully expects Cleveland to come back in this game. Their offense is good enough too, thankfully right now their bullpen pretty much sucks and I don't see them being able to keep KC(yes even the great kc) down on offense.
  6. Poop. Joe hung with that change for a bit but to much bite there. Alright, lets go Freddy.
  7. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:04 PM) Royals now up 7-0. Doug M. tripled on a not so great play by Sizemore. Yeesh.
  8. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:02 PM) So it seems to me that he made the right choice going back to the pitch Yes, the pitch selection was correct, Freddy didn't mean to hang the curve though. He's not trying to hang his breaking stuff.
  9. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 05:59 PM) He threw three high curves and Torii didn't get close to hitting any. I'm glad Freddy went back to it. That's cause Torii tried hitting all 3 to me in Carbondale. He swung so hard that he was opening up extremely early, that was just an awful at bat.
  10. That was about as bad of an ab I've seen Freddy throw. Yuck but thanks Torii.
  11. YAY, mlb.tv is finally working for me. I can watch this f***er. w00t GOOOOOOOCH.
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) Not to mention that Mack has ZERO extra base hits.
  13. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 05:35 PM) Hawk and DJ keep talking about how Freddy needs to learn how to pitch at this velocity, and how he used to have some gas and needs to pitch around with this stuff. Can someone tell me outside of an injury, how someone drops 5 or more mph on his fastball and it doesnt raise any warning signs. Freddy doesnt have the control to become Buerhle or Maddux and pitch at 85-87. He goes deep into counts and relies on his stuff to get people out. He uses his fastball to offset his breaking stuff, if his fastball is not there people are going to sit at a speed and get some contact on him. I think it's Freddy being hard headed to be honest. I think he proved that he can still throw hard in his 2nd start, he's just trying to pitch different right now..why I'm not exactly sure. He'll be fine though. It's not like he's been throwing that hard since he came over from Seattle anyways.
  14. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 05:23 PM) That really sucks, but you have to admit, its pretty funny. Well it's not funny to me. Mlb.tv won't work down here for me and twice now wgn has just totally died when I was trying to watch the game and one other time there was no sound. I need to get home, there is some type of conspiracy here to not let me watch games and it's driving me nuts.
  15. Jermaine On a sidenote for all those who care(no one but me) every single channel here has come back except wgn. This is seriously ridiculous.
  16. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 05:15 PM) Well you did say Gameday is better. I guess the baseball gods took me seriously.
  17. This is unbelievable..life officially hates me: It's started to rain just a little bit here and wgn has died. I can't f***in believe this s***.
  18. Yikes. Mack looked horrible on that shot.
  19. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 05:00 PM) , I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that Steff is not a b**** slapping Pokemon . . . Not what I've heard.
  20. It's like a f***in holiday for me now when the Sox are on wgn. I'm soooooooooo excited.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 04:30 PM) Well you just killed his chance to throw one. ^^^
