It is Feast or Famine with him. Its funny, because the SOX are not built on SLUGGER/ALL OR NOTHING type guys. Were allegedly built with Grinder/ball-in-play/make contact guys who play smart. The first couple of weeks with him, he was on pace to Beat The World, the way he wasnt swinging at everything, taking his walks, going the other way. Not seen that from him since then. There is no doubt, his mere presence has helped Dye/Crede/Konerko, and his presence as a good clubhouse guy is also great, but man Jimmy, theres nothing wrong with what you were doing earlier in the year

We needed a Sweep for a number of reasons, among them 1. Stop the Tiger Momentum (hahaha, I said momentum) 2. Deflate Tiger Confidence 3. Get us back to 1.5 games back Instead, now were 5.5 back .............. and sliding. All we've done is Let the Yankees and Twins get more confidence now ..............

Good for Jonny boy, excellent excellent game last nite. His last couple of starts were very good, but going into this game, knowing the SOX needed a WIN, he stepped up big time. A game like this is going to help Jon go a long way the rest of the season, knowing he can shut a team down when he wants to.
