  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 21, 2008 -> 06:48 AM) The White Sox have allowed the fewest runs in the AL, while scoring the second most. That = recipe for success right there! I was looking at the Espn MLB standings last night and noticed the same thing! I am so happy Ozzie and Kenny prefer OBP over SBs.
  2. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 05:00 PM) Effing bad player management all around from the Jays. Don't forget that Reed Johnson is hitting over .350 with the Cubs. This is why they will always be no better than 3rd to the Yankees and BoSox. BIG Hurt is going to do an interview with baseball tonight within the next few minutes.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 02:43 PM) Me too. I've always been interested in girls and their assets....... Nick Masset?
  4. QUOTE (G&T @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 02:19 PM) Lucky for me, I get Yankees games so I won't have a WGN black out...of course I'll have to listen to the Yankees telecast. same here. But I am stoked that it's in HD. The YES network has quality HD yankee games.
  5. I agree with Frank . Benched for Matt Stairs? After 60 ABs? He was arguably their most effective hitter last season. Something is going on. It was not the best contract for Toronto, but you don't do this to a Legend. If this turns out to be a big deal all season, I have found a new franchise to hate.
  6. Ugh I still can't believe there was a small group wanting BA to start ahead of Q
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 02:48 PM) Hopefully Owens absolutely rakes at Charlotte and we can spin him off to another team in a trade. I didn't know CQ would be this damn good. There's nowhere for Owens to play. Even if he did show substantial improvement. I Did
  8. QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 07:52 AM) Bulls should go for Thibodeau IMHO. It's been him and not Doc Rivers who's had the most impact on that group in Boston. Bulls would become an elite defensive team with him in charge. Ray Allen and KG say hi
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 09:01 AM) Yes, you can't get worse production hitting-wise than that. If only Uribe hadn't lost completely EVERY ounce of his hitting ability. I really enjoy watching him and O-Cab turn the double play. I agree. I was able to tolerate it early for that very reason. It's getting just ridiculous now.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 09:24 PM) We face some legit offenses coming up. If the offense doesn't pick it up, we're going to be in trouble. 5 runs is not bad. Im concerned with the effort of the pen today.
  11. You can not lose a game like this after taking the lead, against a team with Kevin Millar in the middle of the lineup. Case Closed.
  12. Losing in this fashion to one of the worst teams in baseball hurts.
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 09:02 PM) i watched like 95% of BBTN and didn't see the Sox highlights, did I miss them or did they get jobbed? All I know is the Ramirez play was some how overlooked for a web gem.
  14. It's easy to send Hate mail, but here is a Link to send an appreciation letter to Tom Verducci for this piece : http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/email/baseballmailbag/
  15. QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 09:07 PM) YES. Good stuff; my best friend growing up was a Griffey fan while I was THE Frank fan. I don't know what that has to do with anything, but I felt like sharing. So deal. Also, YES. I used to trade cards as a kid. One of my best friends was also a Griffey fan. I would always trade My Griffeys for his Thomas Cards.
  16. QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 03:29 PM) Great to see Danks rebound from his second start! Could have one BOAT of these games !
  17. DANKS!!! Q-BOMB!!! ALEXEI!!! CREDE!!! JENKS!!!
  18. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 02:55 PM) And now Quentin robs Emil of a double. yep But To Carlos, it was just a canofcorn
  19. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 02:49 PM) i wasnt around to see the play in center...what exactly did he do? Emil Brown tried to stretch a single into a double ( and would have probably made it 95% of the time) Alexei Scoops up the Ball, spins and rockets the ball to 2nd with time to spare, off his back foot with all momentum against him.
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 02:48 PM) He needs at bats though, and those can't be found in Chicago right now for him. As for Fields, again, if Crede is somehow signed to a long term deal, Fields will be moved to 1st base and Konerko or Thome will be traded. The only exception to that is if somebody offers us a great deal for Fields obviously. It's not really all that hard to figure out. I agree. However, I was responding that he wasn't major league ready. He is closer than a lot of people give him credit for.
  21. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 02:44 PM) Sox need to send Ramirez down when Owens is ready. Alexi isn't big-league ready yet. He missed a Home run by about 2 inches and made a play in Center maybe only 2 guys in all of baseball make.
  22. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 01:33 PM) I would check your fan card if you don't care if a division rival would win it over our team, just because they sucked for years. Who cares. Do you wish the Tigers well because they sucked for years as well. I am a sox fan, the rest of the teams in our division can go to hell. If we are finishing in 4th or 5th place, sure the Royals over the Indians and the Tigers. But I want the sox to win over any of the other teams. I could care less if the other teams sucked for 100 years. I can like the players on the team as a fan of baseball. But the team itself can go to hell.
  23. He is quickly becoming my new favorite player on the sox.
