  1. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 12:09 AM) It seems snobish to hate the wave to me. What's so bad about it and why are you guys better than it? tradition not to do it.
  2. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 12:04 AM) the wave is dumb, but can be fun to do. No problem, one way or another if there isn't much action on the field. If the game's close... that's another matter. I find it frustrating when the astros are scoring runs the same time fans are worried about getting a wave together.
  3. Not cool. The core of the white sox fan base does not do the wave and HATES it. That's what I learned from my childhood and have passed on to generations below me. The band wagoners love it. The white sox Marketing/pr team should have a certain level of respect for those of us who have supported this team on rainy days against the Royals when we were a notch above .500 every year. Don't give in to the bandwagoners comfort! Please! Fans were starting the wave in my section tonight and many sox fans were yelling at them to stop . The sound system had a sound bite 'here comes the wave' or ' I think I see the wave'. It made me want to throw up my beer. It is bad enough some bandwagoners want to start it. I am very disapointed that the Sox sound system ENCOURAGED it. just my 2 cents. what is everyone else's take on this?
  4. QUOTE(T R U @ Jun 18, 2006 -> 10:10 PM) Thats cheap, trying to get out of paying 50 points for one of us at DPBL to make it I knew you would see that eventually
  5. I can't figure any point in the season where I would have ranked us as low as 7th ( our lowest ranking)
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 11:53 PM) Ya, but Zambrono has proven that he can handle a heavy workload, throw deep into games, and juts be an all around beast. Liriano has yet to show me that he can go super deep into games and this is coming from someone that thinks Liriano is the best 1st-2nd year pitcher in the game. Watch him pitch, he's the most dominant pitcher in the bigs...along with Johan (although I take the 2nd half Johan's over anyone probably). someone with the label 'dominant' let alone 'one of the most dominant' does not have 60 walks in 105 innings. Zambrano does. I'd like to add. I would take Z over anyone on our staff. I just worry about those walks. That can come back on you against the good teams. Keep in mind he IS in the NL.
  7. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 11:10 PM) It's a solid trade, and gets Tyson and his stupid ass contract outta here. Hammerhead would hate it, but I'd be celebrating. haha no more chandler debates with hammerhead
  8. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 11:09 PM) It's more like a class. Liriano would be at the head of the class, while Santana would be at the bottom. Ranking guys is hard, but I agree that Liriano is more valuable than Santana. I can dig that
  9. another thing, I dont see how Liriano and ervin santana can share the same category. Honestly
  10. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 11:06 PM) For future benefits? I'll buy that. But right now, at this very moment, Carlos Zambrano is the most unhittable pitcher in the major leagues, regardless of age. He also has a major screw loose. He can be shook.
  11. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 10:52 PM) Tonight was definitely the best. These are the kind of games you have to be able to win in the playoffs. amen
  12. Just What I want. Digging through a 100 page thread to read news about Ozzie. Guess , Ill just have to get my news from espn again instead of spending an hour digging.

  16. nice try.. Its on the 1st page of the news for ozzie http://news.google.com/news?oe=UTF-8&clien...id%3D2235&hl=en
  17. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 11:57 PM) Um, what are you doing on a site called gay.com? seriously though I searched "ozzie Guillen" under google news and dug up all the articles written today.
  18. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 12:24 AM) Anderson, and it's not even close. Rowand gets bad reads and his average at best speed. Anderson is a burner and gets great reads just about every time. Anderson by a mile, and i'm baffled the voting is this close since it's a defense only vote. Defense can be broken down in categories Speed BA Arm BA Reads and routes BA Decision Making (cutoff man ect) Rowand Communication Rowand Balls Tie
  19. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 12:18 AM) Brian is the damn CF, if he calls for the ball it's the Dye's/Pods'/Ozuna's job to get the f*** out of the way. Everytime there has been a situation where Brian has cut in front of someone for a ball or knocked into them on the catch he has yelled for the ball but the RF/LF didn't retreat. The SS/CF always has the right to the ball. I will give you the cutoff man problem but I do not think it's as prevelant has you make it seem. The point is, he has not been calling it all the time. That is where the communication problem lies.
  20. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 12:13 AM) Name me one game where his defense, or his mental errors cost us. You can use the same argument for Jose Valentin in 2000. We won 95 games DESPITE his 36 errors. We are winning DESPITE his lapses. It has not cost us yet. But it very well could. Overall, his D, is towards the top of the league. I won't dispute that. His lapses have A LOT to do with him being a rookie. That was not the question of the poll though. I gave my answer why, you just twisted everything around.
  21. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 12:10 AM) Are you cereal? Brian had like 1 bad game out there this season other than that the only real problem he's had this season is with hitting the cutoff man. I love Rowand and all but Anderson is far superior defensively. Don't know if you are watching the same games I am. But Brian has had more than one bad game. 1 day its throwing to the wrong cutoff man, the next it is his lack of comunication when the ball is by him and another fielder.
