  1. QUOTE(T R U @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 07:00 PM) I never said I was rooting for Detroit to win, but im not gonna sit here and be all "GO CUBBIES" because half the people on this message board are jumping off a cliff aside the fact were the third best team in baseball right now and were only a game and a half out of first in JUNE, the middle of June at that exactly what Im thinking. It's not like we are in late september.
  2. QUOTE(SABR Sox @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) Why are so many Sox fans hateful toward the Cubs? Hey they suck, we know it so do they. We won the WS, we know so do they. They're not going to win with bonehead Jim Hendry and Dusty Baker, we know and so do they. So whats the point of hating them? Anyway, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES would I root for Detriot this season. And when the Cubs play the Twinkies and Tribe, I'll be rotting for the Northsiders again. This is what I posted to some guy from New jersey in another thread. You have not experienced my experiences. So Don't question my reactions.
  3. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) Either you're a fan of another team or you're just stupid then. I am a fan of the White Sox. I will never root for the cubs. If this were the last weekend of the season my answer would be different. We are still in June.
  4. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 06:01 PM) It's just ignorance if anybody votes for the Tigers. no QUOTE(PaleHose4Life35 @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 05:54 PM) You aren't a true Sox fan if you would rather have the Tigers win. I have my f***ing reasons. Don't tell me I'm not a fan.
  5. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 08:36 AM) when you click new topic the poll options are there... got it. Thanks QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 05:54 AM) You're not looking hard enough thanks for your help
  6. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 01:38 AM) What could we get for Ozzie? How about trading Cliff Politte for a megaphone? didn't we trade you to wsi?
  7. I love Ozzie, So I would never want this to happen. What would his trade value be at ? This doesn't happen often where a manager gets traded. A couple years ago, Pinnella landed seattle Randy Winn. What could Ozzie bring in?
  8. QUOTE(Felix @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 01:03 AM) So you are saying that the Cubs losing is more important than the Tigers, who are in first place in the AL Central, losing? Get real. I don't really care what you think about the Cubs, but hating them should be second to seeing the Sox succeed. I think you don't understand what I mean. I am not going to say GO CUBBIES. Ever. Unless the words TO HELL are attached. I could care less if the tigers sweep. You are worried only about the W-L record. What I worry about is internal . Things you probably don't 'get' living on the east coast. See, Chicago is a city with 2.8 million people. 1.4 or half, don't give a s***. You are going to have 200 thousand DIE HARD sox fans, 200 thousand DIE HARD cub fans, ok. The rest are casual fans. We are dipping into the casual chicago fans. This has to do for 2 reasons The Sox winning, The Cubs losing. So if I want the cubs to lose, who cares. I don't think you were around when the sox almost moved south, were you around when the sox were in the same breath as montreal in attendence? Were you anywhere near when cub fans argued that we should get contracted? I will not root for the cubs. Though, I won't be as disapointed as usual when the cubs win.
  9. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 12:39 AM) This is what can happen when players retaliate and are beaned: Im sure you would have the same reaction if papi got beaned twice by Randy Johnson. :rolly
  10. QUOTE(Felix @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:52 AM) If you can't root for the Cubs to beat the Tigers this weekend, then you need to get your priorities straight. gmafb easy for you to say up in jersey QUOTE(T R U @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 12:31 AM) pfffffffffffffffft Its freaking June and were what, a game and a half back :rolly I aint rooting for the f***ing Cubs carl. Thank you man.
  11. I work at a restauarant bartending and serving every once in a while. A few days ago, one of our bussers was beaten to death. I actually found out about the news today. He was a nice quiet guy. Always smiled, always asked how I was. He leaves a 5 year old, a 14 year old and a wife who is currently unemployed. Please put him in your prayers. Here is the story from the Suntimes. http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/roadrage15.html
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:20 PM) There's a lot of people who are completely turned off by Guillen's constant childish behavior, of course no one would dare say such a thing out of fear of being lynched. The world Series ring is enough for me to love Ozzie forever.
  13. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:18 PM) Joo know why I yell at da kid Tracey? CAUSE I'M DA F$@%ING MANAGER, das why!
  14. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:13 PM) Not really. yes really.
  15. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:11 PM) But, maybe it's alesson lerned for Tracey. Ozzie will just tell us to f ourselves for not agreeing with his actions I agree! Gotta love the OZ!
  16. Boo Hoo I got yelled at. Put your fears behind you and take one for the team.
  17. QUOTE(G&T @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 02:50 PM) Farmer says Tracey was told to hit someone and didn't do it which is why he was yelled at, but not why he was sent down. Just add this at the end of the Ozzie thread and Lock it.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 09:25 PM) I'm not sure what the exact bean ball numbers are but I can tell you there has been a lot of f***in times where the sox have got warned for getting hit and nothing else. It gets very frusterating at times. can you think of a time where a sox pitcher hit the opposing team twice and both teams got warned? I can't. Even when I go way back. We always get f***ed.
  19. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 11:50 PM) Sox fans might actually be better served voting for the guys that are closest to getting in that aren't Sox/Yanks. Chances are they actually deserve it, and if Ozzie wants to take all Sox, then he'll have less of the other teams to represent. I doubt any of our Sox will start, but we can help push some of the other guys in creating room for our guys. I don't know how we can sit there as fans and want our team to have a winning attitude at all times even if they are outmatched. When we don't have one ourselves in balloting. I count over 5 people in this thread giving up before anything really started.
  20. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) Montero has been decent. If Politte comes back healthy, a trade may not need to happen. Just a thought: If KW and Ozzie tell Judy that he's being removed from the rotation for McCarthy, would he waive his no-trade clause? Thats a very good point. I think you have something there.
  21. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 02:13 PM) probably Fields or Owens and maybe a pitcher like Lumdsen. You're nuts. Way off
