  1. so he can at least have a choice? To protect him from landing with a team like Tampa? Im sure he would like to be near his asian chick and family. It would definately pique his interest. Because the angels produce relivers like the Broncos produce running backs. They will just re-load at that position. I'm sure they have a high opinion of garland after that complete game in the alcs. Not a good comparison. We are lacking in bullpen depth. If bullpen was a strength, maybe it would be a possibilty.
  2. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 26, 2006 -> 11:53 PM) The Angels have Jered Weaver and Joe Saunders in AAA (in fact they just called up Weaver today). Shields is hugely important for them. Can't see a deal here. you can never have enough starting pitching. I can see a deal. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 27, 2006 -> 12:01 AM) I really do love me some Mike Gonzalez though, oh what I would give to see him in the Sox' pen this year. The guy is a lefty and just makes hitters look absolutely silly. We need to pry him away from the lowly Pirates before another contender does. Career 2.43 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, .209 BAA | 2.21 ERA this year as well. That's another idea. I may be mistaken, but I am pretty sure he is close to the end of his arb. years.
  3. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 26, 2006 -> 11:39 PM) Location you may be on to something. Don't listen to Kalapse, it's not like he's never been wrong before.
  4. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ May 26, 2006 -> 05:55 PM) For s***s and giggles? Or is he doing this until Cora returns? til cora returns
  5. sorry if this was posted already, didn't see a thread. Just heard it on Chicago Tribune Live
  6. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ May 23, 2006 -> 10:10 PM) Go Sox, respect Frank.. if you actually seen him play in person more than 10 times you would know what im talking about. luckily for me, I seen him in over 300 games at the Cell and various parks. exactly, most of the 2005 bandwagoners wont understand this..
  7. 2006 is up there. I still wish Belle and Thomas could have had a mvp type season the same year rather than one after the other. Can you imagine 97 Thomas with 98 Belle and a healthy ventura?
  8. Those morons have been rating us low all year. Even right after we swept the Tigers, they had us ranked after them. It's canada afterall, they are not used to quality. They probably think the CFL is by far more talented than the NFL.
  9. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ May 23, 2006 -> 10:07 PM) Great game, seen only a few from Sox Talk. The beer was excellent !
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 23, 2006 -> 07:41 PM) I wouldn't be opposed to trading the pick either but if they were going to keep the pick, Roy is an easy choice for me. Ronnie is a good player but he's not as good as Roy. I like Roy too. But I think it is a bit of a reach with the # 2. Thats all Im sayin'
  11. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 23, 2006 -> 07:36 PM) Ya, fine, why would anyone want a tall sg who can do everything well when you can have a guy that can jump really high? because someone like Brewer may be around with the 16th pick? Or how about trading down instead of drafting a guy who is not even a top 10 pick on some boards.
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 23, 2006 -> 07:12 PM) If they take Aldridge, Brandon Roy please. Geez, Im sure as hell glad you are not in charge.
  13. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 23, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I know , it sucks Frank got hit
  14. QUOTE(WCSox @ May 23, 2006 -> 07:09 PM) Interesting that the trade made on July 31, 1997 wasn't listed. It would not qualify as a blunder. In the long run we probably won that trade. as expected. No one knows if we would have caught the indians. I was mad about it back then though.
  15. QUOTE(knightni @ May 22, 2006 -> 01:40 PM) For the learning curve, Bargnani would be the Bulls' best bet IMO. I dont know where you get the impression the bulls want a learning curve type player. Paxson has been quoted several times that he is seeking a rotation player.
  16. Franks Loudest Cheers were obviously his first AB. But yes, he did get cheered after his first HR. I was screaming my lungs out. Completely lost my voice. Frank Homers twice and we still win. Perfect.
  17. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 21, 2006 -> 09:52 PM) Should be 3 but Jason Roid-ambi stole the one in 2000. I still think about that
  18. Here comes all the bashers since he does not have a link.....
  19. Nuke will Boo from his laptop. I will actually be at the game.
  20. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 21, 2006 -> 11:17 AM) http://www.wkyt.com/Global/story.asp?S=4928301 BRAVO!!!!!!! ^^^^
  21. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 21, 2006 -> 11:07 AM) Or you could just quit your asslicking, either one. If I am ass licking a sig maker on soxtalk, that would just be taking a chapter out of your book.
  22. QUOTE(Walker2Baines @ May 21, 2006 -> 02:57 AM) This is a pretty stupid topic. If you didn't respect Pods after what he did for us in 2005, then you're a f***ing idiot. Pods shouldn't need to beat the s*** out of that pussy, to gain your respect. He should already have your respect. agreed. very stupid topic
  23. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 20, 2006 -> 10:44 PM) The box behind him in the big pic is bothersome, atleast to me it is and that's all that really matters. quit being such a little b**** :headshake
  24. QUOTE(lukeman89 @ May 21, 2006 -> 02:13 AM) they gave it 4 stars because the average joe baseball fan likes watching good games, not games where the white sox beat the s*** out of a classless ballclub thats exactly what it is
  25. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 20, 2006 -> 09:13 PM) I just heard a clip on the Score where they interviewed Michael Barrett this morning before the game. He mentioned that the Cubs can either sit there and cry about how they're playing or they can go out and start a fight or something. He was looking to get into some s*** before the game even started. We need to get a copy of the interview and send it to the Sox. They can send it to the comissioner or whoever decides the penalty and they can see that it was premeditated. very interesting.
