  1. This game is the best ver. 2nd best was Neb vs missouri OT game in 98.
  2. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 05:31 PM) I think the Knicks will be be the better team in 07 but there aren't a lot of signs of life in either place so switching spots may or may not be a big deal. The bulls have better young talent and more cap room. I know that 07 swap will happen in our favor.
  3. Alexander was the right guy for it. Seattle would be no where with out that guy
  4. Please let this trade happen!
  5. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 01:27 AM) I realize the Bears offense was much worse and the Bears defense had injuries but its hard to get the 04 beatdown in Soldier Field out of the head. I'm obviously not a Bears fan but I'm stunned how confident/cocky Bear fans that I know are about this team. It seems Bear fans think they will shut down Alexander with ease and steamroll their way through the NFC playoffs. I agree 100 % You are absolutely right! The Seahwaks are no match for the BEARS!
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 30, 2005 -> 12:31 AM) Garland and Uribe for Tejada is much more realistic now then it was before and more realistic then JC and Uribe imo. Unless Garland was aware of it before he signed. I think that would be a very negative move for our organazation. You don't trade a guy after he signed with us for a bargain price (compared to what he would have received on the market 1 year from now) Don't expect any more "hometown discounts" for a while if we did that.
  7. QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 11:21 PM) Because: Then why didn't they sign pitching? Millwood was still a FA when Tejda came out with his concerns.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) Boston is offering Manny and Clement. Everyone here believes Contreras and Uribe is our offer. Which is a better package? Get real people. If we were to get Tejada, B-Mac would have to be in the deal and most likely Uribe and another impact player. Why would Baltimore add close to 20 mil in salary ? Why not just Sign Millwood and aanother pitcher to keep Tejada Happy? I think money may be an issue for them.
  9. QUOTE(spiderman @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 11:06 PM) I don't know why Baltimore would do this. Why take on a pitcher who's at least 34 years old, who just started to live up to his potential this past season with the White Sox, and who isn't signed beyond this season along with Uribe, a nice player, but clearly a major step down from Tejada ? I don't know what other teams are offering, and maybe this offer would come close, but I would think Balimore should be considering not trading Tejada at all. Salaries considering. This deal would make more sense than Ramirez and Clement IMO
  10. QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) I like that trade-off but, I'd hate to lose Uribe. I hated to see rowand go, but was fine with it since we got Thome. If we traded Uribe in a package that brought over Tejada I would be fine with that too.
  11. Tejada upset with Orioles' lack of action http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2274777 Take the following insert from espn for what it's worth . Count and uribe would make the most sense to me in any deal for Tejada. If Count and uribe were in the deal the salaries would match up well. I dont know what their 2006 salaries are , but their 2005 salaries go like this: Count $ 8,500,000 Uribe $2,150,000 Total $ 10,650,000 Tejada $10,781,206 We would have to give up more than those 2. That trade would work out for both teams.
  12. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 12:42 PM) Hey, an admin should pin this. There's a lot of stuff that I don't post because it's not worth creating a thread for. I'm sure that plenty of other basketball heads on here could say the same. ^^^^^
