Which Team will finish last in the central
SleepyWhiteSox replied to rangercal's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I think the Bulls will be in last place too. -
QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 12:06 AM) Losing to the Celtics = LOL. That is like losing to the Magic. Right Dbaho? Pssst...we barely beat the bobcats.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 11:41 PM) Don't tell that to all the Gordon lovers. They all think Gordon is 10 times the player Duhon is and that Duhon shouldn't be starting. He is 10 times the player...talent-wise. But Duhon is raising his game by playing hard. Anyways, it was only the Bobcats, but it was good to see them not give up. The most important thing for me from this game is the status of Kirk. I hope he'll be fine.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 11:50 PM) (And, for the record, yes, I have written an essay about the Sox. And, yes, I did get an A on it.) Post it, hot shot.

Baseball Prospectus gives Sox props
SleepyWhiteSox replied to chitownsportsfan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
No injuries? Frank was a huge loss, in my opinion. Pods was obviously slowed down by injuries, as was Duque. Hermanson had back problems. Crede had back issues. But I understand what they meant. No team can be 100% healthy. Still, the offense looked like it peaked with Big Hurt...until that beautiful display in the playoffs, that is. -
Also, does anyone know how long this NBA package preview on comcast lasts? I won't be getting it (too expensive for this college student and no sane person has enough free time to watch many games to mak it worth it along with having a productive life), but it's pretty cool to flip through the channels and watch multiple games for now.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 07:56 PM) Am I the only one who thinks the Bulls take a step back this year and miss the playoffs with about 35 wins? Nope. And an important factor, as has been mentioned before already, is how good the rest of the division looks.

Duhon is a captain too. Ben better earn that starter role very soon.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 12:49 PM) I don't look for the Bulls to equal their win total from last year. I think the Curry situation will set them back. Not blaming Pax or Curry, because I believe they both did what they thought was best, but it will still cause the Bulls to backslide somewhat. I feel the same way. Hope I'm wrong, but doubt it.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 11:46 PM) Especially after what the Bulls did last season. If anything, you'd think people in Chicago would be excited about the NBA. No player on the Bulls roster excites me... They're still my favorite team, but I'll agree that I'm not all thet excited either. Despite what they did last year, I want to see them do it again now that they have some sorts of expectations before I'll say I'm completely buying into the Bulls.

My Gamecube game collection is better than his.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) The kings are garbage and the only players i would like off their roster our peja and miller. Well, yeah, I'd probably take the top 2 players, especially All-Star caliber ones, from almost any team. I'd take either of those 2 and maybe even Bibby over any Bulls player (well, not really). I watched some of that game, and the Kings looked like they put absolutely no effort into it at all. And I'm not sure what the Nets were seeing, but Shareef looked fine to me. Also, I've kinda liked Bonzi since he was in Portland.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 10:47 PM) The Hornets just WHOOPED the Kings tonight, 93-67, wow. Sacramento only shot 31% from the floor, ugh. David West almost had a double-double, he could be a good sleeper in fantasy leagues this season depending if Brown starts at C. PJ did and should continue to. Apparently they forgot to tell the Kings that the season started.

Sixers-Bucks game in OT. Is comcast giving like a weeklong NBA package preview or something?

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) I know for a fact he did take a drug and that is part of what caused his heart troubles. Let me apologize in advance, but... You make some of the stupidest comments on here. Edit: What I meant is that you need to back up such a baseless claim with some sort of reliable source to give what you say any sort of validity. You did not even attempt to give some sort of explanation, reasoning, or logic for your claim. -
Sox will NOT appear on Tonight Show
SleepyWhiteSox replied to LosMediasBlancas's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I was told that it was said on mac, jurko, and harry on am1000 (light teasing from a cubs fan). They won't be on either show. If true, f***ing assholes. -
Weirdos...

QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) it seemed like during the first roadtrip of the season, they did a few of the seats around the scout seats and then figured to wait for the end of the season for the rest. I believe it was planned that way from the beginning.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 06:43 PM) It's also probably worth pointing out that Theo in Boston is doing basically exactly what Jordan did after the shot in 98...he's leaving that city on top. Dunno 'bout that comparison...

QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 06:55 PM) Duhon practiced today and may be ready for the game against the bobcats... I want Ben starting.
