  1. Does anyone know where to get that pic of a bear humping a colt? I know that sounds weird and all, but I need it.
  2. I think people underestimate his drive to succeed at all levels. He very well may go pro, but alot of the people close to him report otherwise.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 1, 2007 -> 01:05 PM) From an interview I heard with Oden about a week ago, it sounded to me like he'd eventually decide to leave after this season. I would say theres a good chance he will go pro, but an even better chance that Cook does. There also more than one problem if Oden stays. 1. He could get hurt, and move down the baord. Not likely in my opinion 2. OSU is bringing in another 7 foot freshman monster next year, which could possibly hurt his touches in the post. for those who dont know him http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=145&p=8&a...amp;nid=1945118 he is much more of a scorer than Oden. Oh and after that they have this guy coming in. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=145&p=8&a...amp;nid=1726782

I love when SSI talks geek.
  5. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 1, 2007 -> 12:15 PM) Oden is going pro, why does anyone actually think he's staying? Because people close to him and the program keep saying there is a good chance he will stay based on how much he likes playing for Matta and how much he likes college, apparently his friendship with Conley is also a factor. But hey, what do THEY know?
  6. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Feb 1, 2007 -> 10:07 AM) i'd still take oden. I dont think he will be avilable, but i would take Durant right now. Oden is good, but needs dev and needs it at the college level. Of course Thad's gameplanning has alot to do with it, and being triple teamed every time the ball gets near him hurts as well.
  7. Logitech makes awesome keyboard/mouse wireless combos. They have a really nice bluetooth set up as well.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 31, 2007 -> 10:02 PM) Let me make it clear again: Kevin Durant is THE #1 pick in this draft. Greg Oden is going to be really good, but a combo of McGrady and Garnett doesn't come along too often. 38 and 23, on the road, against a red hot Texas Tech team, as a true frosh, at 6'10. WTF. There shouldnt be any doubt by now. Even with him being somewhat raw in some areas, the guy flat out is dominant. I think Oden is staying anyway, but I would still draft Durant #1
  9. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 31, 2007 -> 08:34 PM) I dont see why this would really change anyone's opinion on Wisconsin. Anyways the win by Indiana may mean that another Big 10 team possibly gets into the NCAA tournament. If OSU, Wisconsin, and Indiana all finish in the top 15 its hard to imagine that 2 other Big 10 schools wont get in. Most likely it will with a loss to a team barely in the top 25. I would say with UNC looking impressive tonight and Wisco losing there may be a swap of rankings.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Jan 31, 2007 -> 04:47 PM) I love Jermaine Dye....but I think he's thrown out one guy at third or home since he's been with the White Sox. His presence alone makes them run less. I cant recall anyone really testing his arm.
  11. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 31, 2007 -> 04:32 PM) Yeah I know Oden is awesome. Not even that. Durant is obviously far and away the best talent in college bball, not even close.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Jan 31, 2007 -> 04:23 PM) Actually, a right handed hitting outfielder who can play LF is very important. Some might consider Ozuna passable in LF....I don't. I love his hustle and what he brings to the team on offense, but his defense is mediocre. Just like having a strong back-up righty catcher, it's very important in our division to have someone we can play in LF against the likes of C.C., Johan, etc. We need all the help we can get on offense vs tough LHP. I love how people like to say it's minute details, but it's those tiny details which really hurt us last year (lack of back-up CF, terrible back-up catcher, no long relief). There were numerous games where are pathetic back-up outfielders (as well as our disgraceful starting LF) added about 3 or 4 more earned runs to our starting pitcher due to not making a routine play or making a bone-headed decision. It seems like Garland really suffered from terrible defense the first few months of the season. I would say the pitching rotation posting bottom of the league ERA's after the all star break was alot more important than the 3rd bat off the bench. But, maybe you could win 1-5 more games with your reasons above, then again, maybe not.
  13. 9 pm is the understood time for older folk. For me its around 11 pm.
  14. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jan 31, 2007 -> 01:59 PM) ESPN sucks as usual..I could care less about Oden, Tucker is the real talent. whoa whoa whoa, lets not get out of hand here.
  15. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 31, 2007 -> 09:40 AM) There's no denying that the Colts have the edge at offense in this game. You're lying to yourself if you say otherwise, regardless what the stats say. The same goes for the defense, the Bears have the better defense, even if there's a stat out there that says something else. Well duh. But the Bears offense has been largely overlooked in this game. Here is actually a good story I found on this subject this morning. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...mp;lid=tab2pos1
  16. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 31, 2007 -> 02:34 AM) Points aren't a good indicator of offensive dominance. You don't have to score points on offense. Colts YPG - 379.4 (3rd NFL) Bears YPG - 324.9 (15th NFL) Colts PYPG - 269.3 (2nd) Bears PYPG - 205.1 (13th) Colts RYPG - 110.1 (t18th) Bears RYPG - 119.9 (15th) The Colts offense is one of the most dominant in the league, and there's no way around it really. The Bears scored 5 special teams touchdowns (I'm not sure if that total is including Hester's 108 yard return either), opposed to the Colts 1; the Bears also scored 3 defensive touchdowns, opposed to the Colts 1. That's a difference of 6 right there. So, all the Indy offense does is pretty much put up points. The Bears have more than 1 way of putting the ball into the endzone, and that could play key in Sunday's game. I thought the point of offense was scoring? I guess yards are a better way of determining who wins the game? Even if you take away the difference in the special teams TD's, the bears offense isnt really that far behind in scoring. I just think that is largely ignored in this weeks overanalyzation of the game.
  17. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 30, 2007 -> 11:13 PM) True on Oden. But at the same time ESPN really likes Tucker and you think the tie breaker would be that Indiana is a top 25 team and most likely going to the NCAA tournament and it is at their arena. Much better chance for an upset/good game in the Wisconsin/Indiana match up than the OSU / Purdue. I mean it goes wihtout saying that the worst game is UNC-Miami, but lord knows that we couldnt go a night with out the shining light that is ACC basketball. totally agree.
  18. ESPN is pushing oden so hard im sure thats a huge reason why the Wisco game isnt on.
  19. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 30, 2007 -> 05:58 PM) yeah, but they'd just have Atkins play 1B and Lowell would play 3B due to his superior defense They actually have a prospect who is going to displace Atkins at 3B and then they envision Atikins playing 1B
  20. im glad they didnt get Helton. They would have killed our bullpen every series we faced them.
  21. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jan 30, 2007 -> 04:28 PM) Wow. I cringe with pain just looking at the picture. I don't know much about this and I know he was a race horse but couldn't they have just amputated his leg? I mean, he'd still be able to reproduce and pop out some real good suckers? No? Dont know. They shoulda taken the man-horse-juice from him and sold that I guess. Either way the horse should have been shot at the track like so many more before him.
  22. OSU had a pretty good white out going against MSU. Didnt help much though.
